The old version of mindustry is now called "Mindustry Classic"
@Duvent basically went from Halo CE to Halo 5 detail within a few years
speaking of protips here is how to take extreme/eradication bases: launch with a ton of resources (around 6k of everything), build defences with cyclones/spectres and plast walls instantly and start working on reign(s). you need a ton of cryofluid (i do more than 20 mixers). Transport resorces to reconstructors manually (go into poly and command 8 more). On 2 or more cores use 5 reigns. Also be sure you will not run out of ammo.

Hey dark a even better idea than having that when your power fails is to have a solar panel attached to a large battery at the start of the game so if your power ever fails you will instantly have some backup power.
The distributor works the same as in previous to v6, what has changed is that
Before:
-could not put 2 overflow(overflow covers both over amd under and sorter covers both sort and invsort) next
-you could put up to 2 soeters in line
-Each item only countert for their own count so 1 overflow then sorter would allow ypu tu put next another sorter or a new overflow, therefore, chain them
Now
-1 overflow
-2 sorters
But each item sums to the total of the other,
In other words you cant have 2 overflow in an instant chain and cant also have 3 items total making it able to connect only sorter+sorter and overflow+sorter (and permutations)
Edit:
Distributor cand mix and flow object with a total of 60/s
Overflows are capped at 45/s(before v6 was 200/s)

Your previous video is one of the first three that come up in tips and tricks, but it is not at all useful for the current version.
This is much better and much more helpful with much less of the obvious tips for things that the game already tells us

Still, best highway to core is plastanium, it is 1 block wide and it moves 40items/s the same as your 4 block wide.
The way it works is that a plastanium conveyor can only get imputs from another plastanium conveyor or from the first plastanium conveyor (the forst in the line) and it only moves items if they are in packs of 10.
The best way to use it is to have one plast conveyor line to core (with no interrumptions as sorters overflow or bridges since flow rate will drop from 40/s max to about 15.
Make each item to get in packs of ten separately and join that plast line to the main line.
i did try that altho it feels that it takes some more effort to get things going than non plastanium conveyors, but still, the throughput of the plst conveyors would still be limited to lets say conveyors merging to a router (as a combiner)'s flowrate
@@DARK0717 yes, thats why you merge each item first into a separated plastanium conveyour (since it does not output untill there are 10 of same item. Then you merge the plast conveyors. As I said without joining any other item to the plast line, the flow rate is 40/s as the other but with one block wide, making the flow into a 4x4 core up to 620 items /s

As you said the speed of 'making the 10 item packages' is not 40/s and is about max 19.9 when preceed by router/distributor, the thing is that you can merge 2 'pack making stations' into one conveyor ahead making it able to move up to 40/s
In order to research launchpad in V6 Now , it takes to capture extraction outpost which is a high difficulty attack map and to find this you have to capture lots of maps to do that 😭😭😭
On older version of V6 it was not necessary
Of course half the functionality of the launch pad is just built into the core now. Cores automatically share their resources with the global total without launching anything. The launch pad is basically a completely different item now in v6

@@sleet1650 I'm up to nuclear production complex and I haven't had to use them yet. When you can launch with 8000 of every resource, you've got enough to beat the mission. So far Ripples and Flares have been enough to pretty easily beat every base before wave 15
Too bad I over use the launch pad in V5 I build like a dozen of them and connect all my extra resources in them
By the way I'm farming resources at desolate rift wave 104
My single favorite part of v6 is the core no longer getting clogged. It means all my belts are blended by distributors, just a rainbow vomit of items flowing in
Batteries in Mindustry basically work like capacitors, they try to keep the charge on all inputs the same. Although power nodes will say they are at negative charge, the batteries are getting drained slowly to meet the power demands so your network is safe. I honestly like to put at least 4 large batteries right next to my power supply, and scatter some other ones anywhere else so if the power supply is destroyed, i at least still have some batteries trying to keep the network charged until I can remake the power supply.

It doesnt destroy items, only in capagin if core is full the items will be transported into planetar storage to research

This is such an underrated game, thanks for the video!
9 minutes in, the tank thing only works in a situation where you have an absurd amount of liquid flowing in. Try that same tank setup with 3/4 spore presses and you'll find you get the same rough throughput as liquid routers.

It can split to other plast conveyor.
Place (same direct) plast conveyor beside the end plast conveyor.
It will instantly split to 5:5 (if there is 2 conveyor at the end)

I know this is nearly 4 months old, I tried your launcher power saving method exactly of how it was written like your code. However it does not work. Is this patched or fixed or something in a later update?
I tried making my own logic commands, but it never turned off. The counting of the items in the storage works.
I was thinking instead to use something to shut down power until its full instead since is probably fixed.
I also have this problem.
I try to set enable of pad to 0 and print out the status of the pad. The massage is "0" but the pad is still working.

@@mobinsky-v1z Do you happen to have the same issues with turning off blocks in general? I can't seem to turn off my Kiln when it reaches my set limit in vault, same goes with my Alloy smelter.. And this Launch pad. The things are marked with purple that needs it. Im using scripts of other people suggested on YT clips fyi so why are they not working I wonder.

On Multiplayer on Plague Campaign, they use what they call "the snek" and its a smol Line of uhh. Conveyor stuff (Technical difficulties) and it works well But If someone Tampers with the snek welll. WE GET 0 RESOURCES

can you make a video about controlling units by processors especially how to control groups of them like 3 not just 1 or all, maybe with using flags or something because i have struggled with it for over 3 days and i can't find any solution
the lancer has more range now! oh and steam gens now produce more power than before I think they were buffed (important info maybe) I challenge you to only use duos and maces to beat an attack map oh and solar got buffed again.
I dont think the extra marterials are getting destroyed in campaign i think they go staight to research usage

I can't say what this thing is by i bad in english, but how i remember it called pyrotite
13:57 add captions and you will hear a story about drugs and police instead draugs and polys because auto english also, the most real tips are the capital sector, the one to use the core to make defense drones and even factories and actually batteries are important for many stuff, also do not use water extractors for steam generators, use liquid pumps if you have water sources for more reasons that the thing they do not need power, also the turret tips are useless, use robots for defense because they do not need ammo in campain and they are super efficient plus they are mobile wich is important plus is not hard to make them move where you want.
I hope i helped someone with theese, this helped me in early planetary launch terminal when i did not use t5 robots and strong stuff, oh and in attack mode you should cut the enemy ammo lines if you need to wait for something!

İm using launchpads to fix all sector problems and attack another sectors( only enemy bases)
Am I the only one who hates the full core change? I used to include overflow gates connected to launchpads on all my conveyors. It worked great, core stayed full, excess went to space. Now it just wastes materials. And only fix is probably setting up logic gates, which is way more work than overflows
You can put unloaders on the core and connect it to launchpads. As long as you have more than 1 TB flow of each resource, you won't be running out.
@@certifiedpossum8655 I agree there are solutions, but none as clean as the overflow gates and launchpad. You could fit them anywhere along the conveyor, the spot didn't matter. Now its cramming more in near the core, vaults and unloaders. I wish I could just turn off the core auto-destroy.
I've noticed little, if any change to Scorch in the update. (please correct me if I missed anything)
Scorch damage is no longer frame based
In v5 if you somehow had 2k fps scorch would do 2k damage for every 1/60 of a second

Lol I just started playing with launch pads in the campaign after ignoring them for a while. Not really wondering how they would work. After having not used them in older campaigns. Though still it makes it too easy on non base levels and I want a fight. Just not one that never ends with the campaign repair bots being such a pain. Along with the ai getting infinite resources at base for bots.

I would still watch senpai Dark any day though
For example a real pro would look at the plastanium conveyer and wonder how they are supposed to unload 40 items/sec into 3 11/sec conveyers. And then they would discover that vaults can unload the plastanium conveyer instantly so it is super easy to unload them, especially into your core. And then rip out your 4-wide mega highway and just have 1 plastanium conveyer to transport the same number of items. And finally use logic processors and battery diodes to stop your power generation before it runs out and you need to kickstart it, and then turn off your defense and mend projector in the same way to build up power in batteries while it isn't being used
it will not work, because it will always have negative power, i did a better comparison right after it and it includes more combustion generators than two, I believe it was 8 and it still didnt work
Magnus, I appreciate your concern, I would like to address the plastanium conveyor first, I personally do not use it as a highway and did not show in the video that It can be used as a highway because I have tried and tested that it is a lot easier to combine every resource into one line using non plast conveyors, on top of that plast conv wont proceed to transport other resources unless the previous resource cluster is full. Also, I tested and plast conv dont instanly unload from any form of storage instantly, I think u mean loading. This is meant for beginners to have it easy on their first times playing the game thats why I included "probably" the easiest ways to do things or the most no brainer things that still provide big benefits. For using logic processors on diodes to stop power generation, I thank you for this idea, however, the majority of the tips in the video are not logic processor related as I believe it is for the more advanced players to tinker with, tho I am aware that people can simply copy and paste stuff but it is still better that people learn to use it thats why I only made it so that people who dont know it will have a taste of it. There are a lot of great things that can be done with logic processors however, like I said, i believe its for the more advanced players and the new players might be intimidated to the thought of logic so I kept things simple. Also, this vid may as well be a logic processor vid than a general tips vid.
edit: for the rushed part, I can confidently say I did not rush this and I put a lot of thought into making this, even the editting took a whole day. Tho I believe it feels rushed is because u are a veteran player and u did not find any useful tips from the video as uve experienced a lot already, still thanks a lot for the concern.
@@DARK0717 No worries, I was joking anyway. I love your videos and think you make great content, and agree that these are all great tips for beginners (and I want to even say that I thought the batteries thing was useless. Then I tried to actually kickstart an impact reactor setup I had designed yesterday and failed miserably at it for 20 minutes). With regards to plastnanium conveyers, I meant getting items off the conveyer and into the vault/massdriver/core, you can get items onto the conveyer easily by just adding more inputs to the plastanium line. I agree that its good you didn't include logic processors too much in this video, I was just trying to find examples of other "Pro" things I had do :P
One tip I think might actually be useful is building early game defenses / combustion generators but not actually piping resources to them, instead you can mine 70 resources and put a container next to the defense with an unloader and get a defense faster and easier than trying to make it permanent. 4 scatters with a full container is probably enough to get you through to wave 15 where you can spam parallaxes or cyclones or whatever
It doesn't:
The steam gens have not enough water so it generates 330 powr/sec for just 0.1 secs.
Then it waits it's production time to produce more shit power. So the water extractors generate not enough water because of low power from the steam gens

Hey DARK!, I'm one of the new minddustry players and i've try the proccesor tip but It didn't work it can stop the energy comsumtion of a projector, but the pad1 still hungry.... and eat a lot of energy even when is disabled, I've try to disable the nodes but I't doesn't seem to work.
