I still use Procreate for illustrations and occasionally scrapbook papers that don't always need a repeat. I don't know if you saw my recent pattern (MAGICAL VECTORS 😊) but I did it all in AD, from creating the elements to adding texture in the Pixel Persona. I liked seeing it come to life using the diamond pattern! There was some wonkiness in that when I was done and went back to the vectors, the texture disappeared from two of the flowers. I think it had something to do with layers though. I copied all the elements into a fresh diamond template and it was perfect!

Hi Weronika and thank you. I'm trying to figure out how to do my to my work in Affinity but really love to draw in Procreate. I'm confused a bit by the Pixel Persona and how important it is or isn't to use vectors. There's so much discussion on this. You are a great teacher and I enjoy your classes and am excited for more. Vector Magic!

I’m not a pro, but the reason why vectors are so important is because you can scale them without losing definition, otherwise if you only use pixels you will start to see the pixels when the image gets too big. That’s why vectors are so important when making logos or graphic designer work. I hope you understood what I wrote, English is not my first language lol.

Hello dear! There’s really no right and wrong - I’ll try to make a more targeted UA-cam video about why I prefer Affinity over Procreate 😊 But for now the biggest keyword for me is FLEXIBILITY. Affinity gives so much more freedom, to me personally. Alone the limitless layers, being able to draw outside of your canvas without cutting it, being able to rescale without the quality loss, as well as being able to save your favorite design elements as vector assets ❤❤❤ Procreate is still great! But in my eyes it’s not a graphic design tool. Rather an illustration tool, if this makes sense 😊

Adobe Fresco is so much better than Procreate though.

Yes! I love it too! I'm so busy with my projects, but I definitely need to create courses and tutorials about Fresco. I'm a big fan of their vector brushes!

@@WeronikaSalach That would be amazing. 🙃I use the vector brushes all the time, I feel like the app is so underrated.

@@SR-ql9he Totally! I shared some Fresco behind the scenes photos in my last newsletter. I will also write about it on my Substack. You can find all the links in my video description. I love creating my vector assets with Fresco! But then I still switch to Affinity and I put my patterns together in there.
