- Hey Guys, Just a quick one today with minimal editing. Today I will outline my love and hates about my Vauxhall Corsa d 1.2. This is totally my own views. I aim for this video to be useful for people buying a corsa d.

You forgot something very important ... the temperature indicator is missing. WHY???
It can be brought up in the hidden settings..
I love my Corsa D but I hate the visibility with the huge A pillars and I hate not having a water temperature gauge.
Love my Corsa C. Awesome
Speakers, no white reflective dash or tiny wondows/pillars. Will have to check the bonnet view in the morning. Great channel 👍🏻
Yeah diesel engines are generally a lot lauder than the petrol variant, mine is 1.2 petrol 80hp and the engine is very quiet, sometimes i forget that the car is running when im inside
Love my Corsa D 1.3 CDTi. I'm lucky in that I manged to get one of the posh SE ones with auto lights/windscreen wipers, cruise control, heated seats and heated steering wheel. Got it remapped too, 110-120hp and around 170-180 pound foot goes like stink for a little engine. I agree with you on a lot of things like the A pillers, makes seeing the inside curb on roundabouts a pain.
One thing that might be worth checking especially if you have any kind of breathing/lung problems like I do or if you have alergies is the cabin air filter. I had my car in the garage yesterday because I could smell a slight fuel/oil odour coming out of the airvents. It turned out that there wasn't anything wrong with my engine or exhaust system but the cabin air filter wasn't sealed in properly and the mechanic who is a Bosch specialist said it is a common design flaw.
It might be worth a check, not good to be breathing toxic air from the engine bay.
I'm glad iv seen this comment, i got a Corsa D 2 days ago and i was driving about today amd i could smell petrol quite strong, i will looking at the cabin filter
@@VSTV1993 Do have a look because it could be the cabin air filter but make sure to see if you really do have a fuel leak problem somewhere like injectors or fuel filter or hose leak. Have you had worse fuel economy recently? I recently found out what my problem was, the pneumatic air hoses connecting the Diesel Particulate Filter to the DPF pressure sensor were clogged causing the ECU to not perform cleaning regeneration of the DPF properly. Fortunately I was able to sort it out without taking it to the garage.
@@TheNiceJackass i can't comment on fuel economy as iv only had the car 2 days, its the 1.2 A12XER engine, i am going to be doing a full service on it in the coming days so i will be having a good look around the hoses and especially fuel related lines
What you think of the 1.3 d what’s engines like
They did put a piano black centre console in the later face lifted Corsa D models like mine. I didn't realise you could bring up the temperature gauge in the hidden menus. Mine is a 1:2 engine like yours but lacks power, I agree.
I have an 1.4 2011 model. What I hate the most is the isolation inside the cabin. When going 100km/h or more you have to shout, for the co-driver to hear you.
Personally i dont have that issue, i wonder what tyres you have on? They can massively effect road noise.
I don't think it's from the tyres. I tried to investigate this problem and I concluded that it's coming from the exhaust system. There is a lot of vibration coming from under the car. I changed mounting rubbers close to catalytic converter but nothing. I think that this specific engine in general is quite noisy (A14XER).
Hmm strange, yeah mine is rather quiet tbh. Maybe worth further looking into it as i wouldnt suspect it to be the engine.
i have a 1.2 excite 2014 face lift and the engine is to dam quite lol if you have the stereo on the lowest volume or a window open you cant even hear it lol

What I hate about mine is the low front bumper and the stupid black plastic under it. I broke it a couple of times. Mine is on 14" size wheels and it is really annoying when going over high curbes and stuff...
Why dont you buy a used piano black center console? The 110year edition had it imo

When you worth on the bigger engine corsa d like the 1.6 and the 1.7 you wont be saying its nice to work on
I agree I have the 1.3 CDTI and just changing a bulb is such a task but it's still a great car
Tbh changing the bulb in my 1.2 is a pain in the backside
