I liked him as a comedian and actor, but he's not much of a philosopher. His rationale for explaining the purpose/meaning of suffering wasn't very convincing. And if he really believed what he was saying, then perhaps he would have stuck around and suffered through his own health problems. He sounded like his was talking quite a lot of BS around this tbh, especially when he started talking about religion/faith... which as we know is unproven nonsense. There is no soul and there is no magical benevolent sky fairy... just because a famous guy like Robin Williams believes it, doesn't make it any more credible as an idea.
You have summed up Robin Williams so well, thank you for your comment. I didn’t think I would get that emotional watching this, but I think it’s because he’s one in a 1 million and a modern day philosopher. It is absolutely amazing how he speaks so effortlessly and seamless with no pauses in between. Why can’t we have more of him in the world? 😊
We still miss him, he wasn't just a comedic legend but a legend period. The saddest people try to make everyone laugh, because they don't want others to feel that pain.
Dafuq? The man was LOVING LIFE. He's was happier than 99% of ALL PEOPLE ON EARTH. Why does this myth still perpetuate with morons the world over? He is talking here about ADDICTION to COCAINE and OVERCOMING IT. Not about "oh my god everyone thinks im happy but im not!". He KILLED HIMSELF, because hed been diagnosed with a RAPID FORM OF SENILITY and was losing his ability to REMEMBER, to THINK, to even KNOW HIS OWN KIDS. They told him, within ONE YEAR you'll basically be a VEGETABLE. THATS why he killed himself, as MANY people would, rather be a vegetable and a burden on your family and live with machines and be spoon fed and your ass wiped. He said "No." Imagine being one of the qucikest thinking, verbose, mentally stimulated, intelligent and HAPPY people on earth, and being told "kiss goodbye to all that". He forgot his lines in Night At The Museum, and couldnt figure out why, and his personal aide persuaded him to go see a doctor, and he was diagnosed. It's THAT simple. NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING SECRETLY SAD! Now, get that nonsense out of your mind.
Admittedly I was weeping when he died, never got to meet him but he was a big part if my life growing up making me smile, making me laugh and love, and making me think, it's unfortunate he is gone but thanks to his work... well we can always hang out
I remember when I work at Phoenix children's hospital and I met a boy on his way to bone marrow transplant in an elevator. I was delivering food to another room when we shared the elevator, he was crying because he was so scared. The nurse standing there holding it in. I looked at him and asked him why he was crying when he told me. Idk what came over me to tell this random child that yes it will hurt at first buddy but I promise you that all these wonderful doctors and nurses are here to help you with what's wrong. It's ok to be afraid but just know buddy that they're here to help you and swear that child wiped his tears away and raised his chin and said thank you. I'll never forget that child as long as I live.

That one line in a song, “only the good die young” .. it’s a song maybe, but people like Robin Williams (& multitudes of others) is one of those prime examples that remind me how difficult it must be to live in such deep despair & unspeakable pain, yet the talent & skill to make others smile & laugh veil the darkness he couldn’t escape. "Dont cry that because its over. smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss. that quote fit Robin Williams to the T. Even when gone his words still reach people. I really needed to hear this, Thank you for everything Robin.

A Beautiful man with a beautiful soul ♥️♥️♥️
Kindness, and thoughtfulness are exemplary in Robin Williams. His face shows these are in him.
What an amazing soul. His loss touches us still.
Enlightenment comes at the cost of immense pain❤️👣💙🙏🏼
He explained why We see the happiest, Popular, the class clowns who end it too soon.. Covering their silent pain.. He is the Greatest actor, I know in my Lifetime, That I have ever seen. I Pray for all, who like He describes at the end..😔💞💗🙏🙏🙏🤟🕊❣
He did not kill himself. He knew/saw too much & was gonna spill it. They (Illuminati) killed him.
Amen
An extraordinary man. Excellent actor with raw emotions which shined. Very missed indeed.
There is so much truth wisdom heart and soul in this man. I have so much respect for his life and legacy. May he Rest In Peace.
Robin you are a Brilliant, Artistic, Creative, Poetic, Comedic, Philosopher. You and your otherworldly entertainment skills were the background of my life. Being a Caged Bird must be difficult. I look so forward to your return. The world needs you. Thank you for all you are doing behind the lens. God bless you.
My two favourite movies this amazing actor starred in were: WHAT DREAMS MAY COME and MRS DOUBTFIRE . The first one is the most heart-renching movie I've ever seen (akin to Ghost Patrick Swayze), and the second one is the most hilarious movie I've ever seen!
So terribly sad he is no longer here :(
I always saw his heart through his eyes. His eyes said everything about him. 💖
This was edited together so well you deserve an award. Thank you 😭
That was a man everyone can learn something from about humanity and being a good person!!! I wish i had the privilege to meet him and just say thank you!!!!

Great movie! I read the book in 1978, and the movie was just as good because of Robin's acting, along with John Lithgow. Don't want to give too much away!!
As a man that grew up watching Robin Williams, I actually feel sadness like I lost a part of my life. The world was a better place with him inhabiting it. R.I.P Robin you beautiful legend
"The family of man" - that destroys itself. Its no wonder some of the most insightful people struggle with addiction.
RIP buddy
That one line in a song, “only the good die young” .. it’s a song maybe, but people like Robin Williams (& multitudes of others) is one of those prime examples that remind me how difficult it must be to live in such deep despair & unspeakable pain, yet the talent & skill to make others smile & laugh veil the darkness he couldn’t escape. I hope he found that quieted peace he longed for while here .. 💔
Thank you Robin! For everything! God's speed.
And yet, with such insight, wisdom, empathy, compassion, forgiveness … he was overwhelmed … thank you RW, blessings resting in peace.
I love him, miss him and think of him often. My life was saturated with Robin Wiiams always. He left such a beautiful legacy. ❤
"What will your verse be?" Robin's delivery of this line shot through my body like electricity.
His profound sadness touches me.
His profound wisdom lifts me.
Robin, I send you peace.
Another kind, good man! Time is short - we must all choose between good and evil - choose Jesus and LIVE! There is life after death in Him!❤️✝️🙏
What a wonderful human he is
Sad, Always looked to Robin Williams when see him in movies, just never dawned on his feelings. He was the Greatest in movies, now we are understanding him.. R.I.P. Robin..
Great human being beautiful soul always in my heart one of best actors. He was one of them special souls that the world needs more of
Miss you Robin!
Love this guy!! Has a heart of gold❤️🌷
There is more to the mind. More to the brain. Then I like that he says there is deity within you (12:30). He is so right!
Robin Williams was such a comedic genius. Quick witted and full of talent. But I always saw such a profound sadness in his eyes. It was like he sold his soul and couldn’t find a way to get it back. I enjoyed so many of his movies, Mork and Mindy and his many funny voices. It’s sad that we can’t enjoy more of him.
Love you Robin❤❤❤
Still miss him existing on this planet. Just thankful for his words and work he's left for us.
I knew he was so sad inside. He was so wise and truly so selfless, all he wanted to do was bring happiness into out lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The worlds a darker place now you gone.
