    I just bought my 80V Trimmer. I havre an acre of land but about half of it is developed. I’ve used this trimmer for the last 3 days and I love it. It comes with 2 string diameters (weights) for different jobs. It is POWERFUL.. I Love it.

    I got a Greenworks 60V electric trimmer, filled with 0.095 in. nylon wire without any issues, but with an installing trick by prewiring throughout the holes before pressing into the position. For sure, 0.095 wire lasts a lot longer. I got one of each Stihl, Echo and Husqvarna trimmers, electric trimmer makes me less boring due to the quieter in noise level. Thanks for your video.

    I have the weed trimmer and blower. Both work great when they work... The blower I got is newer and have no problems with the trimmer is 2 years old and lately have been having issues. The trimmer tries to turn over or start, but can't quite make it. All of a sudden it'll start and all is good, but if you stop for a moment it won't start again. I talked to their customer support and they said they needed information which was on the handle which I had taken off for another handle. When I found my handle at moment I didn't see any numbers on it. Any thoughts on what might be going with the trimmer?

    My tap doesn't feed line, I have to disconnect the head out unwind enough and put it back on. If I get that to work all of my frustration is gone. I called Green W. they sent me a video on youtube. I will watch and hopefully fix.

    I just bought their GEN 2. I looks nearly identical to yours. Is yours Gen 2? Slight differences in the the shroud mount(mine has 4 screws) and the attachment lock(mine is a plastic wing nut)
    Also, what is the prepackaged string length and thickness? Mine came with one winding of 0.080". I haven't measured the length yet.

    Still wanting to go with some more cordless equipment for my business. Not sure on the brand yet though. I have the Stihl push mower and might go with their string trimmer. But green works offers so many more options.

      So many choices. It can be tough to decide. I will be testing more brands as well. Find a system that has all the tools you will need on the same battery platform. Stay away from the cheaper residential models. Focus on prosumer or full commercial grade. Thanks for watching.

    I get a discount at work for greenworks and in need of lawn care equipment so checking out if it’s a good bargain.

    Nice review!
    Would you recommend only going for the 80 or 82v commercial grade Greenworks gear for everyday business use on residential lawns, or would the 60v pro gear be enough for that kind of work?
    It's just that Greenworks offer a startup kit with 60v pro trimmer, mower and blower for a very good price, and wondering if this would be good enough for a little startup business?

      I would always recommend going commercial wherever you can. That being said some of the greenworks pro stuff is fine for light duty use if you’re just starting out. Just be prepared to replace if they suddenly were to break and you have lawns to mow. Also you will need more batteries than you are probably expecting. Thanks for watching.

      If you’re in the US, I highly recommend the 60v lineup since they have more tools in it. I’m personally using the new 800cfm backpack blower and had the 824cfm backpack blower and they are gas replacers except on runtime. They probably get there about 2/3rds the way though which is good enough for doing yards. I used to have the 60v version (gen2) of the trimmer he used in the video and it worked great but my pet peeve about it was the trimmer cutting out from having the line out a bit long so I ended up selling it and got the $219.99 one from tractor supply and it resolved the issue and has great power. I also have the top motor trimmer but had issues with it cutting out but resolved it by taking the commercial trimmer attachment (from a 48/24 dual volt trimmer) and it works great as long as you don’t put the line out super long >20 inches. For hedge trimmers, we use the commercial dual volt trimmers because they’re the lightest but if you don’t have heavy trimming you could get by with the 60v ones (just make sure they’re the new gen and not the ones with a small teeth opening).

    I have the unit but the line continues to break and make its way back into the spool. I have to open the spool, remove the line, replace the spool and the feed the line back in. Any suggestions ?

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess

      First try a different brand of line. I like oregons magnum gatorline for durability. Secondly most trimmer line brands suggest soaking the trimmer line in water for 24 hours before loading. Trimmer line will absorb moisture and actually becomes more durable. If it is extremely dry it will have a tendency to break more often. Thanks for watching.

    As with anything, if it says "PRO" on it, it probably isn't 😂. Thank you for the cutter reversing tip. I was going through line like crazy.

    If the line breaks off on the spool but there's still line on the spool, is there a way to remove the head?

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  3 місяці тому

      Yes for sure. All trimmer heads easily pop apart to clear jams. Thanks for watching.

    I got the same one in today... except it's not the same. It's supposed to be the same, now I'm wondering why yours looks different. My handle goes on with 4 screws, and my trigger button is much different (solid with no gap). Even the center that connects the base to the head is different (black) whereas yours isn't. I hate when companies send out different items for review vs what they are sending everyone else. I'm a little bummed about it now.

      I think there are different versions of the same thing. Lots of times they are made with slight changes for different stores so that they can have different barcodes or model numbers. Lots of stores will use tactics like that when they order product so that they don’t have to price match the competition because even though it’s the same it’s slightly different enough to have a different bar code. Mine came in a bundled box with the handheld blower. I think it’s the same set that is sold at Costco stores. I agree it can be confusing. Thanks for watching.

    The problem with "partnering up" with any company is you wouldn't dare say anything bad and risk losing future partnerships.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  7 місяців тому +3

      Except if you watch my videos you know I have done just that! The good companies still continue to partner and understand products won’t be perfect. There is always something to criticize. I tell them this upfront. That I will be honest in reviews. My hope is they would then have the sense to only send products they know will be good. Some other companies that I did partnerships with in the past, I no longer partner with coincidently after videos that criticized products. So while most people will feel pressured about that. I could care less. I have always done a ton of research when I buy anything. I understand how tough it can be to put your hard earned money down on something. I take it as a big responsibility. I get offers from lots of companies to send me stuff that I turn down. I even had a really big manufacturer offer to send me something very expensive but said that after I had a chance to use it we could get together and go over what they wanted me to say in the video. Needless to say I did not accept their product or offer to partner. Thanks for watching.
