I actually love the remote. I hate large remotes + I love the dialogue & EQ tone control on the remote. How often do people find themselves having to bump the volume for greater dialogue clarity? If I need to broadly "season to taste" I can do that with treble&bass tones on the remote (because when you are into the music, nothing breaks that connection than having to go through menus to adjust eq settings etc.) I really don't understand the hate on the remote. I'm actually afraid they might "fix" it by actually catering to the opinion that the remote needs fixing.
I'm saving up to get one, Currently I have a yamaha HTR-4065, it's 10 years old and needs an upgrade, hopefully this new one will last much longer too! (Edit) just ordered one, cant wait!
@@JonnyMoto I've had it for basically a year now, it's been extremely great it works very well, sounds great too, I did a modification internally and added another fan to help cool it, not necessary but in my setup it helps, great receiver and I highly recommend if you can get them on sale or a little lower than MSRP
Bought this since your video convinced me over the 935. Plus the pre/line out was a bonus. Question for everryone . When I adjust volume levels , the sound drops and comes back on. Is this normal ? My previous Onkyo never did that. You can hear volume lower and higher as u adjust. Please anyone who has this model . Thanks.
I'm still testing this unit. I just had my Blu-ray player repaired so I still need to test the sound settings. The only thing I can't figure out is why my Bluetooth sound is so laggy.
Okay. So I recently got to use Arc with my HD Smart TV set. (Didn't realize my HDMI cable wasn't HDMI 2.0) Also, after updating the firmware, the performance with CEC is a big improvement. The audio from my TV's apps is much stronger via ARC than through an optical cable. When I switch presets the AVR automatically adjusts between modes used for UA-cam and simple output through HDMI.
Could someone answer me a simple question. How do you use this receiver with 4 Ohm speakers? I am replacing an aging pair, of ADS speakers with a new pair of Martin Logan F1's. THE problem is, they are rated for four ohms. And the rest of my Martin Logan (Center and surrounds) are rated at 6 ohms. ) So, how do I resolve this? I think I need to physically enable the receiver to use the four ohm speakers. So, what happens to the center and surround speakers, when I switch it to the 4 ohm setting? I have never had to deal with this issue before? >Help. And Best Buy? They don't have a clue what I am talking about. Thanks, Mark
I’m interested n buying this receiver . Is there any noticeable fan noise ? I was going to purchase an Anthem receiver till I heard it has two fans in it and there noticeably loud during quiet passages
The only difference are that the lx105 has higher power per channel (a difference of 10 watts) and its 8k ready, those are the only 2 difference, alongside the "elite" branding and better internals
@derryk sandiford. The only multi-channel power info Pioneer provides is for 2 channels, which is as follows: With 8 ohm loads, both channels driven, from 20-20,000 Hz; rated 100 watts per channel minimum RMS power, with no more than 0.08% total harmonic distortion from 250 milliwatts to rated output. @chrisnewman7756 Yes, this model does feature Bluetooth, however it is no longer available at our store. The closest model we currently have would be the Yamaha RXV6ABL: www.abt.com/Yamaha-Black-7.2-Channel-AV-Receiver-With-8K-HDMI-And-MusicCast-RXV6ABL/p/152041.html
Hi 👋 Dear How good is this AVR in Stereo music videos?? It has 100 watts x2 , phone, Blue Ray DVD player in music videos. I listen music videos more and in UA-cam music channels. Please advise me. I have good speakers.

@@abtelectronics Actually, will this work with DLNA? I noticed it isn't certified for it. I have an old VSX-90 that works with DLNA, and I would not want to lose that feature.
Dear ABT: I believe you've added whatever type of dance music in the background you've got playing to give the video a contemporary sounding background track and so that it doesn't simply feature the reviewer as the only audio playing. Personally, I stopped watching the review (despite the fact that I am in the market for a middle to top of the midrange receiver) because I found the music other than enjoyable and overly repetitive. It was surprisingly a big distraction. Disappointing times.
@as2980 We appreciate your feedback. If you have questions about the receiver that you still need answered please be sure to give our home theater experts a call at 800-860-3736.
@abtelectronics Thank you kindly. Speaking of thanks, I'm thankful that Abt sells floor models and returns. I got a Yamaha av receiver from the good folks at Abt a few years ago (2017) , which was a floor model. It's just as good now as the first day I brought it home. Now that I am planning on getting a new receiver soon, sold as such, I definitely will be highly considering Abt as my source. Cheers :-) .

Just bought, nice review!
I’d lose the background music in the future ,or at the least turn it down . Liked and subscribed as I like your commentary
Zone 2 with atmos without having to buy 9.2.. the extra zone 2 or 8 an 9 inputs are why I am buying
Thank you for the review. I just recently bought one and watched this 1st before setting it up. I'm siked about it. 😄👍

just picked one up and I'll be using it temporarily as a HDMI hub until I can get away from my neighbors lol.

Pioneer literally puts no effort in their remote anymore. it's all about the app. and that's okay for me.
I think this receiver stinks. It's surround is horrible. My previous receiver was much better. Not worth the money.
?. You either got a lemon or you do not have it hooked up correctly. Mine runs awesome, including surrounds.
