I don't even play FS22 regularly but love your videos.
One gripe/request: Please don't end this one short. I would love to see how big your farm could get and some of the really high end equipment.
This is how weeds work with precision farming. They are not everywhere in the field.
I don't know about some of you guys but i basically enjoying the series so far watching dagger and chainsaw achieving this far from empty land
My game that I am playing along with by the end of Day 3 (equiv to Ep 3), I had my second plot. Day 4 (Ep 4) was spent preparing that plot. Now I am at the end of Day 6 (Ep 6 equiv) I have bought my 3rd plot, and started to prep it. Day 7 will be solidly creating fields, analysing them and getting them limed, planted, and rolled. It will probably take all ep to do that on my own. I also have chickens already, and spent about 10 grand on landscaping to draw in some paths for driving on between fields.
And I have fallen in the river a total of 4 times requiring a tractor reset. Thankfully I have not lost any crop. Although I did loose some wood, about 8 trees worth, I bought the 20ft wood container, filled it up on Ep 3, and then couldnt sell it as there is no sell point compatible with the wood containers.
The small patches of weeds it's because of PF. And for the love of god, there are cheap log trailers in the modhub that can hold at least double the amount you put into those flatbeds.
No point having a big log trailer if they don’t have the HP in the tractor to pull it. Anyway, it’s called survival challenge, not just nip down the shop every day
@@HarryLagman I'm talking about a cheap small 6m log trailer that costs around 4000.
Such a great series...Much more enjoyable than " You dont do this....Chainsaw does....Blah blah is better". Just have fun
Build a farm together, create... get animals. productions whatever you want. This is when you are at your best and it truly feels like you are having fun again.

Hello daggerwin, just wondering if you would consider doing a video where you and chainsaw talk Realtime in the video, i know it was something you chose not to do in the past but i think it would be a little different. I've spoken to chainsaw about it and he's happy to do it but said you weren't keen on it,I guess I'm just seeing if i can convince you to give it a go? What ever the out come i don't mind love your stuff, keep up the good work!
Hey dag from what I understand the kind of tillage you do has an effect on how many weeds will show up, ploughing is best, then subsoiling and regular cultivation, and then any kind of shallow cultivation/disc harrowing/direct drilling means more weeds.
Buuut, ploughing, subsoiling and regular cultivation is much worse than shallow cultivation due to the environmental bonus thing you get from pf
It seems like to clear a large area of trees, it would be faster to drop, strip, and cut them up. Then just do all the loading out to the store at once. Yes it’s a whole episode on logging, but it gets it out of the way instead of it being in every episode. Plus you will get lots of money at once. Best to be done just after planting all the fields

A little suggestion from me: When you cross the brigde (to where you get the trees) left to the rocks you could build your yard for all your maschines. And maybe a farm house
Hey Daggerwin, thanks for the ep.
For the tree ends that dissapear, I tested it on this map on my own game. Taking a 6m long end piece where the end had been removed got me $72 for the single piece. Leaving it with the full end on total length was about 10-11m, I got $124 for that log alone. This was on easy economy, and it was one of the 25m Spruce trees (I chopped down 2 of them, and purposely left the end on one, while trimming it off so the last piece was 6m long on the second).
So you are loosing out on coin if you trim the ends off.
Thanks for the heart, also just as a side note, 6m long logs give the most money. Someone posted the below on the FS22 forums, but also someone has done a yoyutube video on it as well.

Whole Tree sold for $1021 and yielded ~4969L of wood.
The next was cut with the length set to 12m (40ft) which sold for $2561 and yielded ~4861L of wood.
Cut into 6m (20ft) lengths the whole tree sold for $3467 and yielded ~4854L of wood."
I can saw that the trailer loaeds of logs that Chainsaw sold for around 12K this episode, I sold a similar sized trailer load for around 20k using all 6m log lengths except the last tip parts which I sell separately so they dont detract from the 6m log length sales. basically I chop down 5 or 6 trees, load only the largest parts 6m lengths from each tree. Take that and sell it, then come back and get the next smallest diameter pieces also 6m lengths (for Spruce that will be 2 pieces per tree). Sell that load, then come back and load up the 9-11mm tips of the trees and sell them last. 6 Spruce trees sold like that gives like 30k at least.

I feel like the main yard should be on the other side of the rock by the bridge with a small feild road along the river to your green houses wich should be sticking out one from the rock wall with a road in front and a road to the back side of the property
With the greenhouses in, it's starting to look like a farm. Good job and great work so far.
you should put couple tents and a tool box by greenhouses to start yard and work on machines there

have you thought of cultivating around the trees before cutting down the trees. it would make it easier to find the stripped tree trunks and would also leave little grass patches where ever there is a stump!

Question for Daggerwin, if the wood area is utilizing a harvestable crop as weeds, why not purchase your combine and harvest the crops under the trees, free money is it not?
It is hard to tell but it is not one consistent crop. It is heavily mixed with oat and sorghum. It probably won't harvest easily.
Would the effect and profit not cover the cost of the combine or at least minimize the costs impact on the farms budget?
Maybe think about one of the tractors having row crops on it if you dont already. If you're playing with destruction, it'd be smart

I wish you made longer videos. I remember you use to make vids that were almost an hour long sometimes. But I like the series, seems really fun.
Because you technically "plowed" with the cultivator to create the fields initially weeds dont show up for the first crop cycle. Also weeds are patchy with precision farming and wont cover the whole field.
There is a mod that will show you how big your logs you are cutting are. Really helped me with neat looking trailers when I’m manually cutting. Might want to find that mod

Why don't you cut the trees to 8-meter lengths? you get more money that way.
Hopefully you guys will make proper tracks for the tractors around the fields.
You should get the ponnse 3 point tree harvester to cut the trees faster.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think you’ll make more money off selling logs if they’re more uniform at 5m lengths

Spend a few hundred pounds and build a boat ramp into the river and widen that track along the crop and river

You've been driving so much on that field (compacting) that weeds didn't get a chance to grow I think.

Why don’t you just get a regular wood trailer to get even more logs and reduce headaches with positioning on flatbeds

I know there are probably mixed feelings about it but I wouldn’t fault you for using an autoloader for those logs after awhile it’s got to get pretty damn repetitive

Y'all could get far more trees cut at a time if you sold both trailers and got one much bigger trailer. Then one of you cut and one load.

Chainsaw must be pulling his hair out playing alongside you, no point in getting the greenhouse up and working let’s worry about how it looks outside.
I haven't gotten to that part of the video yet but Daggerwin does enjoy playing in his own style. It may not be the most productive but that's what he likes to do so that's one reason he probably doesn't win the challenges but again it's a game.

You guys are not really playing as a team….you seem to play separately but in an invisible team kind off…..one cuts the trees other loads the trees….or you both cut a huge amount of trees and then one loads one carts……..
