    with Lora you really need to chose your battle. You only have a certain amount of bits in the payload, you need to pack the right information for all the servos in one payload. The other issue is that you need to make sure you have robust error detection, so a command is ignored if it gets a corrupted package. Third issue, is the rate at which you are sending the data. Best case scenario is two packages every second. So only way to have that in action is to pair it to a flight computer and drive in stabilization mode (which is also a good idea since if you want lora is because you want to pilot the aircraft from far). cool thing lora is bidirectional so in principle cool telemetry but this would completely decrease the communication speed

    It is a great conceitual project, a long range transmitter, but the command delay (time between input on joystick and response of servos) is about 5 sec?? This will not work for an rc model...

    It looks like there is a significant delay from the time the joystick is moved and when the Servo responds making this unsuitable for an RC Airplane. Clearly the plane at that beginning the video is not actually flying with this LoRa setup. Have you been able to debug this? Or is this a limitation of LoRa ?

      By reviewing his sketch/code.
      I saw that he used multiple delay commands.
      So, maybe the lag is because of his sketch/code being so inefficient........maybe.

    I'm still trying to understand if the LoRa can handle all the data transmissions of the controller commands. I've tried to understand LoRa and it seems they are limited with respect to the amount of data that can be sent and received at a given time; is this why we are seeing the lag in the servo motors? Is this why we have not seen the flight in action yet?

      Well, in short, possibly
      But, i would rather buy a range extender module for my FlySky Th9X (Dx9) rather than hook it's entrails up with something sketchy as a self made, laggy, diy range extender
      I guess kendinyap had showed a diagram for an Arduino based Tx-Rx range extender....he used it as well if i guess...so, might as well go with that...
      Plus, FliteTest mentioned something about a "clip-on" range extender in one of their Vlogs...

    I am looking to transmit and receive the data from 2 channels using a ppm signal. My tx has a ppm signal coming out, this to an arduino which will deliver the transmission to the reyak or a different LoRa tx. Then to the LoRa set up as an rx, to an arduino as my ppm to sbus signal converter on the receiver, or just an ppm-pwm/sbus ... If this will work, how gross will the delay be and what are your thoughts? kind regards

    Hi ,......Range is fine but how much is the data rate , if its low less 250 kbps ..how this is viable to make a quad copter drone txr , rxr ..can be used for telemetry but for Txr ? ..can u plz tell .

      No way. I think LoRa is not suitable for this. The maximum speed of 300 kb / s is 37.5 Mb / s. So think for yourself.

      FC won't detect this lora module. U has to program the flight controlled (FC) on Ur own in order to use it(it's very very hard).so,it's not recommended it can be only used for aurdino based FC.

    The latency on this makes it unusuable. The only reason id use this method is to create a robot which can wipe my grandmas ass from long distances
