Hello, I had followed your video for a while and I really like them. I have a small question about batting. When I swing, my back leg will lift off the ground but when it drops, it won't land parallel to the home plate. It's a bit hard to explain, my back leg will land behind the original spot which makes me look like standing in a close stance. Will that affect the swing? I don't know if my English is correct or not, sorry I am not an English speaker. Thanks
my hands start high but drop as the pitch comes, and then my launch position is all off. When hitting on the tee, my swing is great.l and there is no dropping of hands. Any fix you know of coach ?

i really hope this works for next season because i just finished off my season with 1 hit and I was the last batter of the game to score my teammate in the all star tournament and i blew the game and have been very sad lately and I don't really know if i wanna play baseball anymore if these don't work for me 😢
Great video Im pretty sure I could have used this with every player on my team at some point this past season. My son and I throw frisbees that way when we're at the beach! Btw I expect Pretty boy to win in a boxing match I just hope McGregor gets mad enough and throw him down before its done. Really looking forward to El Cucuy vs McGregor back in the cage

Coach Maddon I have a problem whenever I practice with my dad in the local fields I always kind of slam the ball into home plate but when me and my dad are practicing with the foam bat and mini wiffle balls I can hit the ball with ease. Could you help me with that.
I realize a lot of greater hitters do drop hands and then get them back up before starting forward swing.....BUT doesn’t it make sense NOT to teach it that way because it delays the start of the forward swing?? Meaning that if you are facing a hard thrower, your chance of being late on his fastball is greater with the ‘hands down then back up’ component as opposed to just starting with hands up to begin with and launching swing from that point with Little or no hand movement before you move forward?? Manny Ramirez would be a perfect example of this
Me personally I want my hitters to be athletes first and have flowing movements with good timing. But if there is a kid struggling I don’t think it would hurt to simplify the movements. I think it’s a kid by kid basis. I try not to coach out of natural movements unless it is effecting them negatively.
YouGoPro I get what your saying. I just think that for most young hitters, not all....but most, that extra hand movement will have a negative effect by making them late against hard throwers.
when I do some hitting tomorrow and I take a video of my swing for 10 swings and send it to you would you be able to see what's good and what needs work?

When ever I hit the ball it just comes of the bat and falls on to home plate and just keeps on bouncing either foul or fair.
That means your rolling over
And that your swing is too long

i do this. I hit perfectly fine contact to left and right and center i just dont think its right i think i lose all my power.
