Thanks a lot for watching! This “Special Episode” is a condenced version of the first six episodes of our Stikine River adventure. You can expect the next episode from the series next week and in it, you’ll see us paddle across the remote wilderness border that separates B.C. and Alaska. Thanks for watching and please subscribe to my channel for more!
Jim and Tori- you are beyond brave to paddle the river and camp on the river banks with toddlers and a dog. Amazing. I remember CAR camping back in 2002 with our first child (6months old) in Eastern WA and boy was that a challenge! He was crawling but not walking. He is now 22. As my husband and I were avid trekkers throughout the Pacific NW- all that changed when we had kiddos. Now our eldest being 22, and our daughters 18, and 15. I miss those days. Cherish it, cause it doesn’t last long ❤ you are both amazing
Huddy is a boy, discovering the world for the very first time. He is Adam. Wesley is a man without Logos; he experiences everything directly, with no intervention of the intellectual mind. His joy is fundamental and primordial. What two wonderful boys you have. They are like the first boys of the world. You, Jim, and Tori, are their gods, in the primordial wilderness. I can only imagine the future of those 2 boys.
Thanks Jim and Tori for sharing your wonderful adventure! You two are a marvel! Your kids are gems but they would be because of your patience and endless love. It’s the highlight of our week coming home from work and catching one of your shows. Thank you so much!!! 💕
YEEAAHH!!! An hour and 20 minutes of our favorite family on UA-cam! "Special Episode"? They're all special! Can't wait to get home, grab a snack and watch it. Thank you Baird family❤
Much appreciated! Ya, jr does take a lot of energy to to these things (especially with all the rain we had) but you dint have much of a choice when you’re out there other than to just do it and it’s worth it in the end we find.
Thanks Jim and Tori ! Appreciate your dedication to the Channel even if technical issues and family life throws a curveball Hope Wesley is feeling better soon Thinking of you all ♥️
“Good morning” sweet Huddy! Yea……a great surprise, canoeing down the river with the Baird family! Beautiful footage and excellent narration, just as I expected. Continue to love Tori’s smile as she sits in the front. That is a “deep down” happiness! Good luck and carry on!
Looking forward to the new video next week !! Thanks for a great family trip. Tori is doing a great job taking care of meals etc. love this. Jimmy you’re awesome and your children are super… Let me know if you ever get to Wisconsin I’ll treat you guys to dinner at my restaurant in Oshkosh.
My dad has been watching your videos for awhile already I always heard and I wanted to watch what he was watching sounded so interesting travelling by canoe and camping … and now here I am binge watching your videos!! Wesley & little Hudson are so adorable! cute Hudson, “Bye bye bugs” after putting on mosquitoe spray. 😆
That is cool. I’m glad your dad got you interested in them and it’s great to hear he watch’s them too. Thanks for saying that about the kids. Hudson really does have a big personality
Blessings, as the children are included for the training of all your strong family and communty of other people the joy that is evident in what you show as a good way for some to do family the precious joy i see. Come to mexico spread the joy...bendiciones...m
Definitely my favorite family on UA-cam and I’m just loving watching all your videos catching up before the new video every Thursday. Much love to you and the boys
You both are the epitome of how people should live their lives. How you handle the struggles and I’m sure Tory is sometimes wondering what the hell was she thinking doing this with a toddler and Wesley. So proud to watch your channel and see how beautiful our world is rain or shine. Like I have said before this is how I raised my children not quite as adventurous as you two, but now my son scales the Rockies as much as he can. Even got married in Glacier National Park. He is living his dream as best he can. Thank you for always making me grateful to be alive. May god continue to bless you both.
Seriously some of the best stuff on YT. Sharing your family times is way cool. Your boys are being taught huge life lessons. I am still not sure, is Huddy little Jim or is Jim big Huddy? Huddy can bust a move! Tori is so cool.
Hello Jim, what a good video with the family, good camps, especially the canoe and the fishing rods, etc. I liked this series , the landscape was very relaxing, greetings to Tori, you and the children. 😃🙋🌲🇨🇦❤️🛩️
I realize we don't see a full day so may be off camera for play times but I want to see North have more attention when at camp :/ ❤ He's such a good dog it seems and so lucky to go along on most trips: Love stopping in on these episodes 👍
Fun compilation of the trip thus far and thanks Bairds! I just cant get over the relentless rain and how well you are all holding up and even having some fun ❤
Guys, that tin roof was relentless, but then so was the rain! Good on both of you. You are brining up two little boys that will be tuned to nature and prepared to take on the world!
It’s been a while since I last watch your video, your son has growing cute and your Little girl has the cutest sense of humor, so adorable, you guys are awesome and displayed a good family bonding together, so enjoyable to watch
I love your videos and I'm looking forward to the next Alaska adventure episode! You guys are really inspiring. I love how down to earth and unpretentious you are.
Really nice editing job, Jim! I like what you've done here. And Wes' smile lights up the outdoors, while Huddy just steals the show. Tori, I feel ya! Great food and really excellent team work. Love this series!
The first video I watched was the one where your canoe floated down the river. I couldn't imagine doing that trip as an adult. It would be challenging enough. I so salute you both for doing it and bringing two toddlers and a dog. Yikes!!
Thanks very much! Sorry about the commercials. YT auto places them but we get an event of the ad rev so that helps make this all work. Lots of filming and editing!
Just wanted to mention something I have been doing for a number of years now. When I go fishing I always have a collapsable rod I carry in a piece of inch and a half piece of ABS with two end caps on it, just in case I snap a rod or need one in a pinch.
There was an owl looking down on your camp. In chippewa culture this is a bad sign of things to come. Then the next morning you wake up and the canoe is gone. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Jim, I’m surprised that through that wind storm you didn’t hear the canoe get blown away. I’m sure a 18 foot canoe probably would have made a noticeable sound.
I do not know if you will ever read my message but if you do, please consider putting wesley on the carnivore diet,i think it would help him immensely, love from Scotland
So Tori, who actually does majority of the work? The person in the rear of the canoe or the person in the front. AND, I do have to say you are a SUPERMOM!
I think it is about the same, the person in the back steers and can keep the boat going straight if the person in the bow isn’t paddling but if only the person in the bow is paddling the boat will spin sideways. The person in the bow needs to help with steering strokes in tricky currents and whitewater and ultimately is the one steering in a back ferry which is a whitewater and moving water maneuver. The person in the front may also do a few more strokes than the person in the back when both people are trying to make distance because the person in the back might need to make more effort at times to steer
Thanks, ya he’s back now and doing a lot better. He was handing some kind of secure activity but not as scary as the seizures he’s had int the past. They increased his medication and it seems to be working. We will so,
Ha, ya we laughed at how much it amped up what were super easy rapids for people with a lot of experience paddling in moving water and white water but since we had that experience, it was save. Like our chances of tipping are slim to none.

Oh man I was waiting for episode 12. 🥺
Jim Baird and family, this episode in particular and your UA-cam account in general is BOMB! Thank you for creating and sharing such awesome content.
It’s incredibly impressive that you can do this entire show without a crew. Mad respect for the work you do, this is my favorite real life story.
Finally something good on UA-cam to watch 😊👍

It is amazing how much energy the two of you have. When my kids were small I would have not been able to do a trip like this. Love it.
Much appreciated! Ya, jr does take a lot of energy to to these things (especially with all the rain we had) but you dint have much of a choice when you’re out there other than to just do it and it’s worth it in the end we find.

I would only take a trip like this with someone as experienced as Jim Baird ! Amazing
This river used to have paddle boats on it. There are outfitters that do guided trips on the river. You can jetboat the entire river in a day.
Looking forward to the new video next week !! Thanks for a great family trip. Tori is doing a great job taking care of meals etc. love this. Jimmy you’re awesome and your children are super…

The first video I watched was the one where your canoe floated down the river. I couldn't imagine doing that trip as an adult. It would be challenging enough. I so salute you both for doing it and bringing two toddlers and a dog. Yikes!!
Hudi the rockstar!
Wow! Very interesting to see this family adventure. Too many commercials - but wow!
Thanks very much! Sorry about the commercials. YT auto places them but we get an event of the ad rev so that helps make this all work. Lots of filming and editing!
You guys rock. Really enjoy watching your adventures.
Happy Birthday Jim!!
Thanks a lot man!
I’d be absolutely TERRIFIED to attempt that trip with two little ones… Hell, I’d be terrified to attempt it any way.. Kudos to ya’ll.
YEEEAAAH❤

Wonderful as usual! Have you noticed that North’s ears flatten when Huddie tries to play with him?
Best wishes 🎉 have nice holidays for next time also❤❤🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫
bardzo ciekawa rodzinna wyprawa, gratuluję odwagi, pozdrawiam serdecznie

Wow, well that sure checks out
Where's the new episode 😢I really look forward to this trip...
Jim, I’m surprised that through that wind storm you didn’t hear the canoe get blown away. I’m sure a 18 foot canoe probably would have made a noticeable sound.
The wind was just so loud and the tarp and tent flapping, heard nothing.
You are great parents xxx
I do not know if you will ever read my message but if you do, please consider putting wesley on the carnivore diet,i think it would help him immensely, love from Scotland
Thanks a lot for the suggestion
Coolest family ❤
Lets gooooo
That little one looks just like dad but he might be just a little bit better looking. Hahaha.

Jim,
What’s up with Ted?? Has he quit UA-cam??? Thanks
Keep up the great work 👍👍
Jim are you going to be doing anything at the show in Toronto in February?
Nice makeshift kitchen set up
Nice to see a rerun lol
Wesley at 3:12 really made me smile.
Sorry to seee on FB that Wesley was in hospital. Hope he is OK.
Thanks, ya he’s back now and doing a lot better. He was handing some kind of secure activity but not as scary as the seizures he’s had int the past. They increased his medication and it seems to be working. We will so,
What kind of camera mounts do you use on you canoe?
They’re manfrotto magic arms
boat ride looks very risky with kids, strong waves
Ha, ya we laughed at how much it amped up what were super easy rapids for people with a lot of experience paddling in moving water and white water but since we had that experience, it was save. Like our chances of tipping are slim to none.
rod still probably better than those shakespeares we had as kids right
It was pretty bad but better than you’d think.
💚
When you droned the site, looked like a bear back in trees.
Did you or Tori ever catch a fish on your stick fishing rod??
Da sogno
