  • So I fitted new upgraded pads and bled the brakes on the 701 and now they feel amazing!! The bite and feel on the new pads is really good. They're racing sintered pads but on this they are really good in town, on the road and even better on the track.
The new fluid means the front master doesn't go soft after a few hot laps too!!
Unfortunately, nothing to show you parts and fitting wise. bled the brakes the normal way and didn't cause any problems.
The Brake pads are Brembo 07BB33.SC and the brake fluid is Motul RBF 600. You can also get RBF 660 which has higher boiling points.
    Pads - amzn.to/2X3wueY
    Fluid - amzn.to/2JDCmbZ

I just bought this bike and wanted to upgrade to a brembo radial rc15 pump , now i find out its too big to use because the fender thingy wont fit aswell as the fender is bolted in the original brake pump

I don't ride hard enough to warrant a full new master but that will be the next mod! :D

Are you still running the OEM 4.5mm rotor with those pads? Curious if there's enough room to fit the SC compound pads with a 5mm rotor on my 19' 690

Yes mate, was the stock rotor. I can't remember what the clearance was like when I changed them but I'm pretty sure there was a fair bit of room left.

At how many miles did you change the brake pads? Mine has done 6.200 so far and the front brake is very mushy and i also had issues with the rear one locking out while riding without touching it for no reason!
I replaced and bled the fluid on both the front and the rear with the Motul RBF660 and it fixed my rear brake issue but on the front only for a while it's still very mushy, i'm thinking of getting it to a dealer and bleed the ABS maybe that will fix it although i've read online that the front master cylinder on our bikes is very weak!

It was about 8000 miles mate. There was still plenty meat on them but had a track day coming up so fancied something with a bit more bite. You can trigger the abs pump on a bit of gravel or sand or something then try bleed the brake again. A lot have upgraded the master for a brembo 15 rcs.

I got it from MCN Grafix. They have a website and a Facebook page and can do you a custom kit too.

What kind of front number plate do you have?

It's from a husky fs450. It's not a straight fit, some bodging is required!
