They should, but won't. The history is kind of crazy. In 2004 facing an image problem they created Mr. Six with a choreographer named Danny Teeson who did the commercials for them and the dance. In 2005 he disappeared because Dan Snyder (the terrible owner of the Redskins every since they have been bad) bought Six Flags and got rid of him. Sales tanked, Snyder was nearly bankrupt, sold Six Flags and they brought Mr. Six back in 2009 and 2010. He raised sales but there was a split audience - 80% loved him, 20% hated him. So to not offend that 20% they got rid of him for good - annoying the 80%. Smart decision of course.
Nomarally I'm an optimist but that's probably not going to happen. The owner hates the character. I love this guy and would like a comeback but I guess we'll have to cling to nostalgia.
Well, you’re not gonna believe this, but I did some research Then I found the wiggles joined with hit entertainment, and that expanded Thomas’ legacy Then I figured anyone scared of mr six would need the former to send dorothy’s tell me who is that knocking on your front door song to see what something over than looney tunes kids areas
At some point...6 flags higher ups were sitting around their table discussing how to attract more attention to the park and bring in more customers. One of them who thought he had a clever and witty idea thought of a dancing old man.....a dancing old man...........a.......dancing.....................old.......man. And all the others thought it was great and agreed. A ......dancing......................................old........................man.
In what way have they died off? Before Covid, their attendance, profits, and stock were higher than ever. There's also a massive resurgence in new rides being built after it died down in 2009 when they declared bankruptcy (also around the time that Mr. Six was removed). An argument could me made in the opposite, considering their financially worst period was when Mr. Six was in his hayday. Obviously I think he's a great character and would love him back, mostly from nostalgia, but there's definitely no correlation between their success and him as a mascot
@@gamogi7142I went in 2019, NE was absolutely abysmal. Such a shell of its brighter and more cheerful self. Broken down rides, chipped paint, dirty food options... Nearly every property that was associated with the park has been removed or rebranded (besides DC and Looney Tunes). Rarely any walk-around characters to greet guests and no neon glow night parades or any that I'm aware of. I was extremely disappointed by it's ominous looking appearance, would fit better with a Scooby Doo rebrand for how spooky it was. I've also seen many videos regarding stock and profits never once did it mention something positive. They raised admission prices so they might “make more” but not enough to clean up the place apparently.
Man I was like 4 years old and I still remember the commercial and know seeing this....I almost cried. Good old childhood time's, but like people say time go fast. Also I wish Mr. Six comes back one more time.
I knew someone who has worked at 6 Flags and actually dressed up as Bugs Bunny . I remember a story about Mr 6 . If I remember right . Mr . 6 was really a woman who is a professional dancer . But on the other hand there's been several people who have been Mr. 6
Yes same here. I also remember when Six Flags over Georgia had the Great Gasp parachute drop. When you were going to Six Flags over Georgia as a kid the first thing you would see was the Great Gasp and you were so excited because you were almost at Six Flags after a long drive to get there.
Six Flags you guys really need to bring this character back! 😀
I agree it was popping back then
I really don't know why they took him off anyway he was literally the face of six flags and still is I was pissed when they took Mr. 6 off.
How old are you🤔🤔🤔

Humanity shows through when people try to be civil and love one another
Mr. Six was a really awesome mascot, you would never see this at Disney or any theme park.
I love that a character from one of their commercials became more popular to the guests than Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

Six flags really died off after they removed him to represent theme parks.

One of the best mascots of any company in my opinion. How many years later and I still reflect back on these great commercials and times.
Oh my gosh! That's adorable!
Now THIS is what I call using your fame for good

One of the most adorable things I've seen on UA-cam.
Who is this guy...wow..he got moves...love the idea he’s an older man..love his costume and make up...
Mr. 6
Brings back many memories!!
