Such a nice toy...makes me wonder when finally someone dares to build stage/piano/workstation with vst support

Just use your laptop and control with your workstation et al or some just sample a VST and load it in their keyboard du jour.

@@DojoOfCool thats not the same, if i wanted that, why would i use a workstation at all and not just a midi controller
To me a workstation is a single instrument that can handle it all, witouth remembering me of a conputer all the time i am making music..
Its a performance tool that offers everything you need in a single instrument.. keyboard voices and backings.
What you propose has been possible for ages, but using mainstage with a Separate keyboard just doesn’t feel the same..

there is/was one that looked like a monstruosity [had 2 screens and a pc keyboard], but I can't remember the name of it, but it was commercialized as a "studio piece/Daw" for legal reasons.
I believe the reason we don«t see them is because the manufacturer would have to have the permission from VST devs and pay them a slice of the sales. Instead you have VST devs making 3rd paty samples for wokstations that don't envolve the devs programing code.
In terms of feasability, it could be done [with enough internal memory and horse power] but - on the other hand - it would be costly for both the buyer as well as for the manufacturer [not only because of the innards, but also the revenue sharing].

I wonder if a rasberry pi is powerful enough for piano tech...

Can you explain how you recorded? I can see audio wave on channel 2, not a midi…

Hi Ben, which keys as controller for pianoteq did you prefer between P515 and FP30?.

I recently bought a roland a 88 mk2 and it's disappointing. The action itself feels good, but using it with pianoteq... I don't know. Depending on the velo curve you use it sounds either mushy (default velo curve) or too heavy (slow keyboard). The sound can't match the feeling you have under your fingers. Think I will return it. Which one do you use?

@@keramxela Hi mate, thanks for reply. I´m using Kawai MP7 right now and this key action is fast. But i wnat to know if Yamaha P515 or Roland RD2000/FP90 are really an upgrade for the MP7?.

@@ferdearmas8732 I've heard kawai makes pretty good actions. I'm interested in the VPC 1 since I read that it's specially made for virtual pianos like pianoteq. But I think Roland's FP90 and RD2000 are good choices too. I don't know how they feel but I've seen pianists on UA-cam use them a lot and I've heard the velocity is excellent there's no tweeking needed and that's actually what I am looking for.

@@susannemalok6561 That's what I use...the pedals are the weak spot...very very cheap and sustain pedal starts failing and you have to disassemble ...adjust...and clean to get it working again.

I've got a Kawaii mp11se on back order. I'm looking forward to playing it using pianoteq. Everything I've seen and heard about the mp11se, other than it's weight (71lbs) has been stellar.
