Lexus also much cheaper vehicle to own. People who can afford a Porsche , Ferrari, Lamborghini can afford the repairs. Lexus owners must realize that it's just a Toyota rebadged as a Lexus.
Lexus should have won by a lot more. The factors in favour of the Porsche are that it has a powerful engine, and is a bigger car (tows more). That's offset by terrible costs in reliability, maintenance, an fuel. Also, how many owners REALLY need to tow that much?
After having test drove a second gen and two third gen RX they honestly sucked, the ride was nothing special and handling was blah, they were noisier than expected, the arm rests were uncomfortable, and on the third gen the mouse controlled infotainment system was the worst thing I've ever used even when compared to a 2002 bmw 7 series I-Drive system which was the first and worst year of an infamously pain in the ass system. The interior also didn't have a luxury car quality when compared to the euro options. I test drove a 2012 Highlander limited and it had a smoother and quieter ride and better seats than any of the Lexus but it was butt ugly. The 4th gen RX are really comfortable though, never driven one but did sit in one and the interior was a huge step up in comfort and quality, when they get to a more affordable price I'll consider a used one. Frankly as a luxury vehicle the Lexus doesn't compare to the Porsche (yes I've driven a cayenne as well), the rx is only a luxury vehicle when compared to a crv or rav4.

2008 Porsche Cayenne is going to blow away a 2004 Lexus RX in every category except reliability and cost to own. This guy has had his Porsche since new and taken care of it to keep, but most of the ones you will find for sale at $5k now are going to then need tens of thousands in ongoing repairs and will sit in the shop for weeks. Plus they are premium gas hogs. I'd wager youll be out $25k+ to put 100k miles on one. The 2004 Lexus RX330 is boring, handles poorly, looks bland, is slow, not as luxurious, and is just overall a much worse car BUT you can actually get one for $5000 and then drive the crap out of it for another 100k miles with basic maintenance. Maybe $7-8k spent and it won't be sitting in the shop. Nothing else matters if your car is broken or your wallet is empty. But if you have the luxury of $$ to blow and multiple cars, the cayenne makes the lexus feel like a shopping cart.
So lets compare a 100k suv to a 40k suv new. 😂. Dumb. Compare it to a gx or lx. I’ve had both. Porsche is a bucket of rattling bolts compared to Lexus.
Lexus wins everyday of the week. Reliability is a huge factor. Porsche is trash. You'll end up paying more in 5 years on repairs and maintenance than you bought the car for.

Lexus(Toyota) will always prevail in terms of reliability
If you want fast and sporty buy the Porsche if you want comfortable and reliable buy the Lexus. Just saved you 14:53 minutes of your life.
I can't tell if you're serious about the cul-de-sac loop performance... did you try them? do you have PASM? Ok fine you must have been kidding
Virtually no body roll in the cul de sac. Impressive for a tall 4,000 pound vehicle full of kids and Cheez-Its.
@@CarFanatic I need to test drive one then. I will say with PASM the handling on the 957S is like a boxster though, it would be hard to beat...
The Cayenne will not last as long as the Lexus.
You can not compare a 2008 to a 2004 vehicle , it doesn't make sense. Buy a Lexus or lease a Mercedes end of the story.
☺️👍
Porsches are overprice to crap cars, when you buy a Lexus, your buying reliability
So lets compare a 100k suv to a 40k suv new. 😂. Dumb. Compare it to a gx or lx. I’ve had both. Porsche is a bucket of rattling bolts compared to Lexus.
Let’s talk about gas mileage 😂
Is this a joke or something?
A man would choose a Porsche before they would choose a Lexus
Spoken like a true child.
Lexus wins everyday of the week. Reliability is a huge factor. Porsche is trash. You'll end up paying more in 5 years on repairs and maintenance than you bought the car for.
