Hey Jimmy! I got a Spam call today and I used the Domino's Pizza answer and they got confused and hung up. So I have to say I actually learned something that's usable in everyday life off your channel. Thanks Jimmy.
Thanks for another great video. First of all congratulations to Silas for the really great camera work. Nice going Silas. Congratulations, Congratulations to you Jimmy!!!! Sorry you had trouble with the first go but you picked things up and got back at it and got it done. Congratulations on getting your twin license. You did Great!!!!!!!!! Now go and use it and enjoy. Thanks for taking us along. It was great. You be safe and take care. Thanks for everything. Retired Air Force veteran. Steve.
I had my multi-engine rating when I had like 80-90 hours total. Well, it went fine and passed on the first try, but I immediately felt like this is waaaay above my experience and I should not go alone in a twin engine. So yes, I passed, but it felt like I failed. I think your experience was way better. You understood immediately how hard is to fly a twin engine, although you have a lot more hours, and passing on the second check-ride I think you felt more confident than I felt back then. So good job of the first examiner! :)
My twin instructor use to love to pull an engine during take off.... remember not to panic, just follow your training- once you determine which engine, take action by the numbers.
@Jimmys World I see Trumpsters are coming to your rescue...rescue from what... 1. Failure to put the gear down on a certification flight 2. Failure to tie down properly for ground twin engine test 3. Child on board sputtering engine test flight 1 & 2 are just pure stupidity #3 is Endangering the welfare of a child (MeGA STUPIDITY) All of which prove my point "Your mentality is lethal !!" #1 was base on this video alone...then add the other 2 videos! You are a Wile E Coyote Bomb waiting to go off !! I have watched all of your videos very carefully...remember one strike wipes out all your "At-A-Boys" which you had a bunch! Nobody remembers "At-A-Boys" after a fatal crash...they just add up the stupidity! If someone were to send all 3 videos off to the FAA & FL. Child Protective Services what do you think they should do. "Nothing" would not be the Keyword !! You spin all three into a big joke... I doubt the Authorities Having Jurisdiction AHJ will think it's funny! I've seen your piloting mentality many times in the past...I have out lived them all...ain't that funny! One day a Gentleman handed me my Flying Certification, I grabbed it, but he didn’t release it from his hand, he made me look him in the eyes and he said... “I don’t care what you do with an airplane, but YOU will do it Safely”. I ask YOU...of the three above, which ones fit that mandate of “Safely” and why not ?? Realize someone might watch your videos and conclude they need to report to the AHJ’s... Your choice is simple... Do nothing here and someone may decide to report to all AHJ’s or Convince everyone of what you learned from 1-3 and there is no need to report to AHJ’s Let’s just say the jury is out until we see your Homework Assignment! OK Brandon... Yea I got it! The life saving question is do you!
Great job Jimmy!!! Man I love your attitude, enthusiasm, love of what your doing, and Silas’s laugh behind the camera. He going to have some of the best memories a young boy can have growing up with his dad. You make it all look so easy and enjoyable. God bless you and your family Sir.
Congrats on being honest and sharing your failure as well as your success. I’ve signed off quite a few multi engine applicants and of the few that failed, the student and myself because better pilots and instructors for it
Check rides are tough. Especially after you know you already struggled in one or two areas then things just start compounding and you get more and more nervous and then forget that your gear is out. It happens. Keep moving forward brother
My dad is a retired private aviator,I remember flying in aircraft he always hit the brakes before the gear is all the way up....he was taught not to put the gear away while the wheels are spinning, just wandering if they still advise this....also would only allow plastic ball point pens or pencils in the plane...a metal pen can get into places you don't want it to get into. Love your channel Jimmy, thanks for bringing us along.
Congrats on joining the ranks of AMEL rated pilots! On my multi checkride many years ago the FAA had gone hog wild on following checklists exactly as written. The checklist for the plane I was flying required lowering the landing gear no sooner than on final approach during single engine operation, although it was quite capable of safely doing it on to wind. Therefore, I didn't put the gear down on my last single engine approach until turning final. Of course, the exami we had pulled the landing gear circuit breaker and the gear stayed up and locked. He asked me what I intended to do, and I said we're going to land gear up. Surprised, he asked why. I answered it was 110 degrees, we were low, the prospects of a single engine go around were not good, and I didn't want to take a chance on losing control with my head down manually extending the gear at low altitude. He said OK, good decision, you have your gear back, and pushed the breaker in. I selected gear down, got three green, then said: besides, it's not my airplane. He paused, then laughed like crazy til we touched down. Yep, I passed.
Congratulations on your multi-engine rating!! Also thanks for your honesty on why you didn't pass on your first time around. During my multi training the running joke was "you pay for two engines but you only get to use one!" On every one of my four two hour plus training flights we did a couple of single engine landings, VMC demos and at least one single engine instrument approach. Because of this, flying on a single engine became second nature and was no big deal for me on the check ride. The other maneuvers were no big deal either because when both the engines on a twin are working it flies just like a heavy single. Again great episode and I look forward to the "saving of the 310."
My very first time in the right seat of a Piper Chieftain, I forgot to lower the gear until short final. Ironically, I had frequently expressed doubt how a pilot could land gear up. Now I know. Fortunately, that flight ended well and I learned a lesson that day. A twin is a handful even when things are going well. Doing any training like this on a daily basis is the way to go. Much better than once a week. You don’t forget things between lessons.
Checklist, checklist! More practice is good. I groundlooped our Pacer just as the instructor was going to tell me to come to a full stop so I could solo. Spent the winter rebuilding the left wing and gear, soloed in a Tri-Pacer, got my license in the same Tri-Pacer. Congratulations on passing the multi-engine.
Oh hell, I'm coming to Florida, to hang with Jimmy, Cleet, "Jackstand" and Sam. Sam was awesome shooting the blanks! Two of my favorite channels, drag racing cars and flying airplanes! Ruby, tagged with #SAVETHE310 !!!!!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆
It has been many years since I was an active instructor but glad to hear the instructors and examiners are doing their jobs. The 180 hp Lycomings give you some decent performance margins on the Apache but any twin requires a level of skill and knowledge that can be a big step for many single engine pilots. A key word to consider before takeoff is what to do WHEN an engine fails and not just IF one fails. I used the 310P for most of the multi engine instruction. At that time I believe it had the lowest insurance rates of any light twin, possibly due to its good single engine performance. As mentioned, I also liked the original 310 for its handling. Of course it had lower gross weight and slightly lower cruising speed than the later models. Keep aviating, keep entertaining. Hope to see you at KOSH this year.
Oh man what an episode, In Cleetus's garage Old Sam really looks like he know what he is doing with the turret mount.... More to Sam than meets the eye!
Always respect Vmca, Fly blue line to pattern altitude or higher in rising terrain. ALWAYS use a checklist! pull it out and read it as you accomplish each item. If you use a checklist you will not accidentally land gear up. It has worked for me for almost 50years. Congratulations on the rating. If your instructor did not do a drag demonstration in training ask him to do one with you.
Congratulations. Safe flying and before long your sons going to be taught by you. That's what you call awesome. Great video GOD bless you and your family
Failed my first Flight test for my PPL here in New Zealand. Went flying the next day with my instructor to go over my mistakes (which involved power on stalls). Nailed the next one. Yeah felt terrible but got back on the horse.
I’m coming to the field and stealing the propeller off Cameron, to show you how easy it is. I could sell it between $450-$1,200 for an ‘aviation themed ceiling fan’. Cleetus!!! Saw him race the Dale Earnhardt truck few years ago. Great bunch of guys.
Thanks for being so candid and explaining what went wrong. Lets everyone see that it doesn't always go the way you want it to. It's a bummer like you said, but you took it well. Glad someone was watching out for you! The examiner obviously missed it too :O woops.
Jimmy , as I'm sure you know when you retake these failed sections of your check ride and pass them you not only will have learned them better but will appreciate the entire process better . Best of luck
Nice one Jimmy , congratulations . As I always say at work when we do training and it all goes wrong . I say " well no one died " .....bosses really hate that lol
Great video with the Cleetus play day break, isn't Sam awesome!, congrats on passing your twin engine check ride! (Hopefully, #savethe 310 now adorns not only Ruby but Mullet and Leroy, maybe a few Crown Vics also.....)
Congratulations on the passing of your multi-engine check ride! Hey we all have things to go through, and you had to do it twice because real men do everything twice before it's done right, right? Keep up the practice and the hard work Jimmy, we all love you and hope for the best!
Sometimes when my office would call me on the job I would answer '' Rocos pizza we slab-em you nab -em '' It would take about 15 seconds for them to get their composure together with a laugh.
Congratulations on your pass! Another step to victory with the 310! Maybe you should call this plane wall-e, it symbolizes the newborn initiative, and looks somewhat similar as well..😬 Keep up the good work! Awesome gun by the way..👍👍
Thumbs up to you Jimmy ,like you said ,we learn from mistakes, makes us better . Keep learning ,and with a Clear Prop ,make sure you have a clear mind . A very intertaining channel 🤗

I am a PP since 1979, haven't flown in 20 years due to cost and raising a family. Sorry you didn't take advantage of lessons while you were in the AF. (Army guy here LOL) at least when I was in I could have gone to Pope AFB for lessons while I was at Ft Bragg, NC. I miss flying but not enough to get re-certed. At this point it will be nearly starting from day one. Perhaps an UL is in my future :D
G,day Jimmy's World from Sydney Australia. Congratulations on passing your check ride with the DPE in a twin engine plane. "The all important pre flight and landing checklist!!! You can also get a elimination switch box checklist, sits on top of panel. This is from Missionary Bush Pilot UA-cam channel PNG. 🌏🇦🇺
I'm lucky, besides always doing the check list for gear down (3 green lights), I can't even slow down my Glasair 1RG for flap extension speed until I get the gear down ie. below 140 mph. This bird is so slick, it's almost impossible to slow her down without being "dirty" with the gear down first. Very difficult to forget the gear, but obviously nothing is impossible, so always do "GUMP" check.

As a grounded RAAus pilot due to financial difficulties making it hard to finish my cross country training, let alone doing my required 3 take offs and landings to keep my certificate current. I currently live vicariously through these videos, thank you for doing the aeroplanes gods work.
I get spam calls ALL THE TIME. I sometimes answer my phone, "Federal Communications Commission, Agent Johnson speaking, may I help you?" They hang-up on me every time and I rarely get a call-back from the same number.
Ohhh the Freedom Factory! Better stay off the infield St Augustine grass or my man Alyn Hayne will have you rebuilding his lawn mowers! (The Lawn Care Nut on UA-cam maintains that…and gives great lawn care advice).
Congrats on multi. I hope to start mine soon. I'm told to get my instrument first buy the owner/ instructor of the twin. One step at a time. Good job. I love your videos.
Once when I got a spam call I picked up and told them I was the sheriff department. No human on planet earth has ever ended a call as quick as that guy did!
Congratulations Jimmy, your unfaltering enthusiasm and joy for your flying should be bottled and sold, forget Mountain Dew your on to a best seller there brother 😁
Hi, Jimmy: My vote for the name of the 310 is Ralph, because that's what you'd probably do if it lost an engine while in flight. Sorry, just couldn't resistresist. Love the videos....all of them.
Congratulations!!!! Sweet!!! Now stop off in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma for a quick burger, and would love to meet up! Lol... Ok....huge fan, but just a lil nobody, who want to get his private pilot license... Love the channel, so does my daughter... (We never miss a vid.)
Hey Jimmy! I got a Spam call today and I used the Domino's Pizza answer and they got confused and hung up. So I have to say I actually learned something that's usable in everyday life off your channel. Thanks Jimmy.
Now the real learning begins...
Good thoughts on sharing your crop duster instruction video. Made me think twice about sliding a turn. The most valuable lesson I’ve had in a while
Cool you are watching this Juan
By more training.
Love Ya B! Cool to see you here.
You're a legend Juan! Sounds like Jimmy nearly made a guest appearance on your channel! Gear up landing!
Thanks for another great video.
First of all congratulations to Silas for the really great camera work. Nice going Silas.

Congratulations Jimmy! You are keeping it real learning to fly with all of your planes.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Congratulations Jimmy! Now a new chapter in learning begins. Always know this this double the engines, double the fun, but triple the costs!
Congratulations on passing your check ride!! Looking forward to seeing you at Oshkosh
A little failure every once in a while stops you getting complacent (cocky) and hopefully no one gets hurt - truly well done from the uk
Jimmy, thanks for the Cleetus connection. There is great collaboration potential there.

Props for being a badass and not hiding the normal life that does have bumps in the road. Lots of respect.
Congratulations to you Jimmy and your Family, well done!
Hey Jimmy, so cool to see you fly in to my home town. Ft. Myers. Then you go to the freedom factory, how Awesome!! # Save the 310.
Great job , now we're looking forward to the adventure. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞

Cool to see you got to hang out with Cleetus and his crew.
Outstanding! Well done - the second time - not the first time...that was a fail! :-D Great video, Jimmy! Thank you for it!
The window insulation makes it perfect for instrument only training 😉
Thank you for sharing! Good stuff. I have always learned from my failed check rides
Great honesty in your videos.

I’m coming to the field and stealing the propeller off Cameron, to show you how easy it is. I could sell it between $450-$1,200 for an ‘aviation themed ceiling fan’.

"Hell ya brother" Freedom Factory!!! Love the bald eagle Freedom you are letting loose! Who would have thought a colab with Cleatus!
Well done Jimmy! So, life is getting better for you! Nice aircraft as well, and having a gas machine guns with friends is insane! Party on!
Thanks for being so candid and explaining what went wrong. Lets everyone see that it doesn't always go the way you want it to. It's a bummer like you said, but you took it well. Glad someone was watching out for you! The examiner obviously missed it too :O woops.

Make sure the blinker fluid is full for twin engine flight. This will enable directional control in case you loose an engine.
Great video with the Cleetus play day break, isn't Sam awesome!, congrats on passing your twin engine check ride! (Hopefully, #savethe 310 now adorns not only Ruby but Mullet and Leroy, maybe a few Crown Vics also.....)
Congrats man, 1 step closer to seeing the 310 back in action
Congradulations Jimmy! Looking forward to more lite twin content.
Congratulations Jimmy, well done,, luv ya content man.

And huge shout out to the guy who called you on the gear up. Thank god he was there man. Blue skys, tail winds and gear down brother!
That was a fun colab with Cleetus. I wouldnt mind seeing more of that.
Sometimes when my office would call me on the job I would answer '' Rocos pizza we slab-em you nab -em '' It would take about 15 seconds for them to get their composure together with a laugh.
Who needs wheels to land when your riding with Jimmy. 🤣
I like the way you don’t cut the spam calls out you just make them part of the video.
It's never a failure if you get to do it again! Maybe someday you can get certified to work on these planes 😬. Nice job!
Thanks! I'm over half way through my 30 months of apprenticeship until I can take the mechanic tests.
Congratulations on your pass! Another step to victory with the 310! Maybe you should call this plane wall-e, it symbolizes the newborn initiative, and looks somewhat similar as well..😬 Keep up the good work! Awesome gun by the way..👍👍
No worries about the short setback Jimmy,
It will make you a better pilot in the long run.
We're all with you Jimmy, we've all been there.
Thumbs up to you Jimmy ,like you said ,we learn from mistakes, makes us better .
Keep learning ,and with a Clear Prop ,make sure you have a clear mind .
A very intertaining channel 🤗
Always Informative and entertaining, look forward to these videos at a time when the rest of the world is upside down.
Thanks so much! Glad you like em!

well done, love watching your adventures

Thanks for all the content jimmy. Your an awesome dad. Keep it up

Very well done...you always make it look easy.
Big congrats! You da man. 👍
You rock!
Welcome to Piper twin family. Nice little bird you have there.
Hi, Jimmy: My vote for the name of the 310 is Ralph, because that's what you'd probably do if it lost an engine while in flight. Sorry, just couldn't resistresist. Love the videos....all of them.
LOL
Congratulations!!!! Sweet!!! Now stop off in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma for a quick burger, and would love to meet up! Lol...

Your son is a great camera man. Nice work. Love the content too.
Much appreciated!
@@therealjimmysworld I love it when they strap him to the wing so they can get those sweet landing gear shots on takeoff. 😆
Best camera man.
Congrats, Jimmy! Well done! Seeing how "thrilling" your first check ride was, maybe you should name the Apache "Geronimo."
