Senor Julio , I love all of your videos,,, great cooking teacher !! My wife loves my nyc style Arroz con pollo but says the rice is a little too moist .. I can add less liquid but will it affect the flavor ?? I try to tell her it has to be a little sticky ..
Les Byc The ratio of water to rice will depend on what type of grain you are using, but a good rule of thumb is two cups of water for every one cup of rice. That will lesson the effect of it being watery or moist.
Chef Julio, thank you for the recipe. I always screw this dish up by adding too many things that either make it too salty or change the color and flavor drastically such as paprika and cumin. I noticed you added the white wine. So an arroz con pollo is simply a fricasee with rice and a red coloring agent such as sazon?
arlene irizarry just read that back of the rice package. The ratio of water to rice will depend on what type of grain you are using, but a good rule of thumb is two cups of water for every one cup of rice
