It's a well-written overview, if not too brief. The view of the OBS interface is a bit distant so that the OBS tiny text is hard to read. The text jumps from one feature to the next making the vid sound overall like praise, which OBS earns, instead of a step-by-step tutorial.

Good tutorial. One thing about OBS that annoys me is Im trying to live stream a live youtube video but if I switch between windows then that goes off(as it minimizes) & the screen goes black. Wish you could lock the window so the stream stays constant even if you browse elsewhere
What is the best way to copy and paste a scene "template"? I have text, video, etc. sized and placed. I just want to change out the text , audio /video source. This is a nightmare for a CAD person. A dynamic template is what OBS needs.

Thank you for your video and tutorial! I am a newbie to streaming, volunteering for our church, trying to get us set up for Sunday streaming. A few people have told me not to use the "camera app" in my Windows computer for streaming (we have a cheap PTZ camera and the app auto selects this camera), that I should use software, such as OBS. Do you know if I can use OBS just for the audio/video streaming to UA-cam?
This might be a nice tutorial,. I don't know that yet. I am not far enough along to be able to use it. I need to know how to hook up the audiovideo capture card to the DVR and to the computer so I can get started with the tutorial. The instructions that came with the easysmx card are useless. They use the OBS software apparently, but don't give any guidance as to how to plug what wires into what ports.
