John didn’t kill me once. He has exiled one of my profiles though, as an infringement, which is murder by the Standard of the Lord he plays lip service to. Notice how John only managed to kill you, because you did as he asked, and as he prescribed. Seems to me, he’s training you to get you killed for some odd irreason.
@@3gunshooter60 did you turn off your brain to come here? Making yourself dumber than John Lovell is no real virtue. Referring to his self imposed inability to write here, of course! Maybe he thinks it’s part of his identity politic…
I feel like Mr. Perry should not even need to be pardoned in the first place. The threat towards his life was real, present, and literally fractions of a second and inches away from him.
"The threat towards his life was real, present, and literally fractions of a second and inches away from him." How so? Perry admitted that Foster DID NOT aim the rifle at him. Therefore, there needed to be some other action that Perry relied upon. So, what was that action?
You beautifully demonstrated Perry's options. He knew what the rioters had done to others and he was confronted, not just approached, by a masked individual with an AK47 at low ready. His options were to lose the action/reaction game and die or take the initiative and live. Looks like classic self defense to me.
You have summarized beautifully exactly what John meant to get across, regardless of the consequences, and despite his trust in a faulty plausible deniability. Thank you for standing as witness here today.
This is why I support you and this channel (also wps) reason without politics involved in a shooting. Clear perspective without persuasion, debate without rhetoric.
Walking contradiction you meant. Rhetoric might have saved Garret’s life. You shouldn’t discount that which is actually life saving. Last I checked John did use his words in his ham handed attempt to justify a tyrant.
Great video and a great reminder! This was one of the top takeaways i learned in the EDC Combative Course (which was absolutely outstanding!). The SPEED at which altercations happen is so fast. Even in a scenario, when we knew it was coming and were ready, it is crazy how fast things can change from a verbal confrontation at 10 feet to elbows, guns, and knives at 10 inches. Thank you John and team for the reminder.
That was the presumed teaching. Unfortunately it was laced with: 1) Willful ignorance (lack of situational awareness of notional John’s intention). 2) Bowing to arbitrary authority via a static environment, as an assailant concurrency. 3) Presumptions of high degrees of tactical training in said notional assailant. 4) Extreme confirmation bias, and a not so veiled attempt to make a political statement while teaching people how to shoot first at traffic stops. All of these things result in a failing grade. John gets an F, and continues to think joking around about it is doing anyone any good, in some degree, at least as far as I can see at this time…
Very nice vid John 👍. Eye opener. Physiology rules. Stay off the X if you can help it through prevention. Being self aware of your strengths and weaknesses (know yourself), what you do, where you live (neighborhood), type of work and what you want to do in the next few hours (shop, work, travel) and the probable dangers you might encounter have to be part of your plan and what to look for. It is then when you become situationally aware with a purpose which in terms of survival or self defense be “choose safety, if danger is imminent”. - Tony Blauer Detect to avoid ; Defuse to de-escalate, scape and work on a plan if all fails; Defend if you and your loved ones are in imminent or actual danger with the force needed to solve the problem with the least amount of harm to yourself and your opponent too. - Tony Blauer I liked how you represented a real life scenario having us “live” through it considering fear, stress, reactionary gap (reaction, response and distance/time).
It wasn’t a real life scenario, nor did it represent one. John trained you all to allow antagonists to outflank you, while training you to ambush police officers at traffic stops. Not a cool aid that should be on the menu in my opinion.
I agree with everything you said about how dicey being in a live altercation is, and I revert to the answer that was illuminated to us in the 80's by Mr Miyagi. "Best self defense is, no be there"
Unfortunately for those of us who are truly protective service, that is not an option. John’s standard of cowardice over clear thinking doubles as a way to justify himself when he stays out of the social media rabble rousing he develops.
@@rickbaker8021 avoidance without clear criteria: staying away while not being sure why you’re doing that, is not sound tactical guidance. The point of the protectorate is to mitigate dangerous situations: to make them safe again. Therefor counseling avoidance is to counsel cowardice. It is is to presume against one’s own discretion, capacity, and training. It is to counsel against protective service. If John was selling birthday cakes, while counseling avoidance, there is a sense in which such counsel of avoidance could be considered discretion, since there would be at least an apparent ineptitude. The problem is John is trying to make himself look like an expert on these situations, while teaching contradictory and double minded ethos, and tactics.
@Ryon Robynson I think John's message is to the average person rather than a specialized field like you are in. I personally retired and moved away from Dallas area to avoid situations like BLM, ANTIFA and what happened in Allen Texas which is in the county I use to live in. I'm curious why you think this is the wrong approach. 🤔
@@rickbaker8021 probably because he's been in security so long hes had too much Kool-aide. I work in the industry myself and there is a ton of bad think around how you should "always be on" and "engage and overkill" because there's a frightening level of poorly adopted and poorly taught paramilitary tactical juju with a dash of what I call the "John wick fantasy" about how you're gonna be the one to solo a 57 man antifa death battalion because you're THAT guy. But you aren't. Noone is, and the tactics for someone who is forced into a bad situation during their work hours are simply not the same nor the correct toolset for the same individual to be using in their normal life (all this is of course caveated as my own worthless opinion) if that person's actual goal is maximizing the survival of themselves and their loved ones. An equally worthless personal anecdote: I carry for work and have for years, and I used to carry full time in my personal life and train with my pistol constantly. But ever since I took up martial arts I only carry a gun in my personal life for animals/in unfamiliar areas or at hotspots for mass shootings (Walmart, mall, etc). Other than that I no longer feel the need for it because any situation I could realistically get into on a one on one street level can be solved with me and the other guy (who probably fell on hard times to be doing solo crime to begin with) getting to see our family again and ultimately that's what we all want. As far as getting into a bar fight or a riot situation or 57 men hit squads, I just don't go to places where those things happen 🤷♀️ But hey, don't let my criticism be viewed as a dismissal. All styles are good and all styles are bad, the deciding variable is you ✌️
If you're going to put a garment over your handgun, the revolver is the better pick, especially if it has an enclosed hammer like a S&W 642. The revolver has a smaller chance of getting bound up by the cloth and jammed on the 2nd shot.

Another great video. Thank you, John. I'd like to see you run this scenario from Daniel's perspective in one them fancy simulators. Let's make that happen.
Mr. Perry proved your point that action beats reaction. He took action first and lived to tell the tale even when he was outgunned in a kill box and surrounded.
Never cover a revolver with a cloth or garment. The hammer might be blocked as you try to shoot. Also the cloth could become caught on something when you try to raise the gun. Had the first happen in training. Be safe out there.
Does John thank you for your service? Of course not. He takes the time to laud how many books he reads and the importance of reading, while no doubt presuming all his flattering fans will back him up when he doesn’t take the time to pay them any mind.
This perfectly illustrates something I first heard from James Yeager: Don’t do stupid things in stupid places with stupid people! Not word for word, but the message has stuck with me for about 10 years now since I first started watching him. And John’s collaboration with James is how I first discovered John and later the WPS and WPSN. Good guys who are ready for the fight are the answer. Loved James Y. and love John L. Thanks for sharing your testimony on how you consider John a cult leader. Is getting killed at John’s behest truly the cool ade you should be thankful for?
LOL I've been watching this channel too long.... I caught on after the first time and started laughing too much to try afterwards. And you can't repeat that either. Because goes to back to the point of training, and situational awareness. I can't repeat the test because I know what too look for now in this situation. But the situation it happens in won't always be one of your preference, or when you're prepared. This is why training has to become something you just do. not an event in your day, but something you work into everything you do. Part stress inoculation, part mental exercise. Poking holes in your perimeter, so to speak. Damn fine argument for a shower gun. Edit: Got to the end of the whole video... I don't know much or care about the Perry situation, but had he been keeping his situational awareness about him, he could've avoided that whole area. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the protest had been going on for a while when this event happened, right? You can't tell me there weren't any HUMINT/SIGINT (just easier than listing all the different sources of info collection, I'm not a cool guy) that could've given him a heads up? There were, but he ignored them. It's not his fault, he was just going about his day. But that's the thing- every day you're just going about your day. Damn, but those old Warrior Poets (philosophy/scholar/poet eeeyyyy I'm reaching hea!) really knew their shit. Stay strapped or get clapped indeed. Nah fuck that... I want to pull one of the better ones from Hagakure- “If by setting one’s heart right every morning and evening, one is able to live as though his body were already dead, he gains freedom in the Way.” Let that roll around in your brainpan. 2nd Edit- Eternal vigilance. It's eternal vigilance. That's the inference.
Clearly you exercised vigilance. You emphasized training. You talked on about a wholistic lifestyle where you thoughtlessly embody that which you train to do. You wrote more here than the average bear, but sadly have been deceived. The whole point of John’s training was to try and justify a man guilty of murder. Not only did he do that, but he trained people in tactics that make it more dangerous to commit traffic stops. John’s “Shoot first, don’t ask any questions, or use your words, LATER GUYS!” Kind of tactics, is liable to get people both killed and incarcerated. Profiling is the more essential form of situational awareness. The man with AK-47 postured himself in such a fashion, so as to show he did not mean imminent violence. Had he meant imminent violence why would he have put himself in such a vulnerable position? He gave Daniel the benefit of the doubt, and Daniel repaid his kindness, by murdering him in a fit of cowardice.
Ironic then how you practice anonymity, while enabling a man who proliferates doctrines of avoidance, which must presume the stupid have every advantage in taking ground. Only stupid persons surmise that places can be stupid.
This is a real eye opener for many wannabes. I tied you one time with the pistol. Not even close on all the rest. I’ve been shot at 3 times in my life and held at gunpoint 2 others, and I was never in the military. I was civilian EMS for 15 years. Trust me, all of your badassness goes out the window the second things go sideways. Great reminder today, thank you.
Out of the over 50 small arms fire engagements I’ve been involved in, strength and confidence I did not lack as the greater measure. Fear under discretion is an asset. It’s the nature of courage. Your first mistake was allowing John Lovell to tell you what to do.
@@connorw1494 exactly: if you presume against your own moral at the outset, you won’t have the file folders to do anything other than what you premeditated.
I like the way Steven Crowder articulates these matters. He would say that the man with the AK-47 didn’t necessarily deserve to die, but he did in fact forfeit his right to live by threatening another person with lethal force.
Presuming that on the basis of the man’s anonymity that he was threatening lethal force, is bad situational awareness. The man clearly put himself in a vulnerable position by approaching Daniel the way he did. If he had meant imminent violence he would have shot him at range. Period. Do you really think John is going to get away with training a mob how to shoot police officers at traffic stops? John heavily implies, and in a negligent fashion, that there were no alternative actions, simply because he wanted to make another “training,” video for money. Accountability is forth coming. Let’s see how John reacts…
The AK was tough, only beat it once and that was because I found what to look for. The pistol was way easier, I was able to get to my phone every time (phone was on the table about 1ft away from me and hands were folded in front of the dong). I feel like John was moving way slower with the pistol, and he telegraphed way more. Combine that with the fact that I am waiting for John to do anything with that pistol because I KNOW he is going to do something. That's very different than someone who may or may not do something.
With the AK he did use a bit of a trick raising the rifle while he was in the middle of a sentence, which people might expect in real life but not in a instructional video.
being a lefty in that same ambush I was double dead from the get go. I need to live in Japan where they respect the left handed driver and I have faster access to my weapon! 🤣
Really bad idea putting a garment over a semi auto if you think you may need to fire the weapon. The gases create a strong vacuum just as the slide is thrown back and draw in the fabric..jamming the gun. Try it, if you want. Especially try concealing the gun under the covers on a bed and fire the gun under the covers.
You def killed me every time. The fact that we even have to have this discussion in terms of defending the right to self defense is ridiculous. Thanks for making this video and speaking on this. I've met a lot of people in training or over the years who dont really stop to think and understand the action / reaction curve. Very important! Loved the style of the video!
I’m reacting to a host of comments here, and still winning the fight proverbially, despite being outnumbered. Why did you allow John to kill you, before singing his praises? Were you afraid he would take away your freedom of speech here if you thought critically instead?
Ironic you didn’t stop to think of what the sociological repercussions would be of allowing John Lovell to kill you repeatedly because he asked it of you.
I feel like if you upgraded to the auto loader like you recommended then covered the autoloader with a clothing garment you would significantly increase your change of a malfunction due to the reciprocating slide
Covering the weapon demonstrates an intent to ambush: or shoot first regardless of a lack of imminent violence. Sadly John has skylined himself once again, in an attempt to prove its not about the money via ineptitude, rather than sound moral thinking and activity.
This whole situation is a case study in “play stupid games win stupid prizes” for both men involved, with that said I’m glad Daniel didn’t get dead and he should get pardoned.
Ironic how many people are playing John’s stupid game then, isn’t it. When do you think John will come out an apologize for all the almost broken phones, and notional deaths he had a direct role in inciting?
Great video John. Like most of these situations, don't go stupid places at stupid times with stupid people. Unless it was a complete ambush, there are always better options.
John doesn’t qualify what he means by stupid. He doesn’t define it, and thereby, he commits the more egregious error. Avoidance is only counseled because it is presumed there is no discretion, and because lack of thinking is glorified by those who exalt their fast hands above all else during training.
Thank you Mr. Lovell for your content. I’m a huge student of yours. I am a subscriber to your channel WPS. Learn something new about the reaction versus action today. Like you said he should’ve been there in the first place. I do have empathy for the whole situation. God bless thanks again.
John, what you said you would do in that situation, gun in lap covered with t-shirt is the same thing I do. Particularly if I have to go into/through a bad neighborhood which I do try to avoid doing, but sometimes there is no choice. I thankfully have never had to use my weapon, and only once have I had to present it.
Why do you think preparing to ambush people is a good idea, when, in order to approach your window, safely, they wouldn’t be conducting imminent violence? And if such a one intends to shoot you, where they won’t miss, how do you surmise hiding your gun will help you?
Thank you, Mr. Lovell, for all that you do to encourage and to educate us in the viewership. Everything that you said in your video was spot-on. Based on the information that you have presented, Mr. Perry should not have been charged, let alone tried and convicted.

And that the current Florida Governor put forth an Anti-Mob legislation in Florida that allows protections for a motorist who strikes a participant if you are surrounded by a mob and it is a felony for a mob to block any street or highway. Step in the right direction
It was way easier to react when you had the revolver. Smoked the fu** outta me with the ak though lmao. Straight up almost snapped my laptop screen back haha. Great way to put the idea in the heads of people that the badguy always gets the upper hand, because THEY decide when to attack. So you have to train to be that much better. The number 1 thing is situational awareness. The number 2 thing is to not have a two-tiered justice system. What's that? It's already too late for that one? Damn.

Why didn’t you ask any questions before he got there. Clearly you have the peace of mind, at this time, to see the direction of travel, and the non-aggressive pacing. If the man has a visible weapon, and you create equity, it’s not brandishing. But if you’ve trained yourself to unthinkingly abide by brandishing laws to a fault, you may have no words to say…
Practice makes perfect: “Hey man I don’t want any trouble. You mind helping me get out of here safely?” “Hey bro, nice piece. Can’t say I like the mask though, ha… You mind being my road guard for a minute? I get what you’re doing.” “Hey what’s up. Sorry I ran that red light. Guess I got caught up in the hub bub. You mind giving me a spot so I can get out of here no problems…” “Hey bro, sorry I’m lost. I got a little skiddish back there. You mind giving me directions.” Go ahead and write these down in your own words. Visualize the circumstances, including an inevitably awesome outcome. Create for yourself the right file folders, and you won’t end up in jail. Even if you do, it won’t be as bad as you think, if you can talk yourself out of trouble. Once a dog latches onto you it doesn't stay still. You need a firearm that you can push into it without pushing it out of battery. If ambushed in a car when I can access my Glock 17 that's what I'm using. Yeah you got me every time. Getting my wife to do it too so she can see how much of a disadvantage she is in if someone else gets the drop. I've actually been in a similar situation. A thug walking up the street in my direction was holding his pants up and printing...I pulled my gun from its holster and watched, blocked from driving away from the stop sign I was at. I had a shattered knee cap, on the way to the doctor and could not flee if I wanted to. As soon as he tried to pull the tech-9 out of his pants I shoved my pistol in his face and before I could say "drop the weapon" he dropped it and ran away. By the book, I shouldn't have gave him the opportunity. But I had a split second and I got the drop on him, so I gave him the opportunity to stop and he did. I'm thankful it played out that way. If he raised the gun I would have fired. Good thing his stick mag with 2 rounds got hung in his britches

Great breakdown. Really shows the totality of circumstances. What’s dangerous as a society is when you have people who don’t understand violence telling people how they are and are not allowed to be violent. It’s a total lack of authority and expertise. It’s unfair.
I'll qualify the following post with the fact that I have taught the practical, ethical, and legal use of force for over 20 years. I have instructed from the Military ROE standpoint, to contract security/law enforcement tactics, to civilian self defense courses. I have a certificate from the Force Science Institute and have done extensive research on the topic of force obtaining my MS in Criminal Justice: Advanced Counterterrorism. I'm not bragging, just showing that I have an informed opinion on the matter. That being said, when use of force is discussed, I always like defer to the AOJ paradigm for the most simple-but-effective evaluation for an appropriate response. A is ABILITY, and exists when the potential adversary possesses the physical capability to inflict deadly force (cause serious and/or lethal injury) to any innocent bystander(s) O is OPPORTUNITY, and exists when the circumstances make it possible for the aforementioned ability to be used by the potential adversary J is Jeopardy, and exists when the potential inherent Opportunity/Ability is made kinetic (or could be make kinetic before a response with reasonable expectation for successful mitigation could be deployed) Unpacking Ability, Opportunity, and Jeopardy: 1. ) Always assume everyone has the Ability to harm you or others. If they are conscious, they have the Ability to inflict deadly force. 2.) Opportunity is about effective range. Referring to details about where someone's Ability is coming from (fists/feet, knife, handgun, long gun, F18, etc.) a defender has to make a logical assumption about the range that Ability could be made manifest by a potential adversary. Once that line is crossed, Opportunity exists. Example: A person with a knife has the Ability to harm you from 50 yards away but not the Opportunity. A person with a long gun at 50 yards away has both the Ability and the Opportunity. 3.) Jeopardy exists when any more time given to a potential adversary would allow them to connect their Ability and Opportunity without a reasonable chance for the defender to mitigate the threat in time to prevent serious and/or lethal injury to any innocent bystander(s). In the case of the example in the video, the potential adversary had the Ability (enhanced by a force multiplier like a long gun), had the Opportunity (well within the effective range of the source of Ability), and the driver was in immediate Jeopardy as any delay (as proven by the action/reaction example) would render a complete failure for reasonable expectation for mitigative action to be deployed. Ergo, the the shooting was justified. In fact, the only reason there is any discussion about the justification is because of the political nature of the situation. If he had been sitting in line at a bank drive through ATM and the exact situation played out, no one would have questioned his response. If you want a deeper dive on action/reaction (also known as Human Factors in Use of Force), watch this poorly produced but VERY informative video here: ua-cam.com/users/livejQCIuWmdt2Y
I 100% agree action beats reaction, although I managed to hit the screen first or at the same time about half of the time. I read this a long time ago from a martial arts instructor: the key to being quick with your hands is to stay loose. If you're tense, anticipating what will happend with your body, you counterintuitively move slower than if you were alert but relaxed. He explained it as tightening the muscles creating internal friction and thus slowing you down. I'm not sure if that's true, but thinking of it that way certainly helped me speed up my movement and it didn't take long to do, either.
The real lesson was when was explaining and presented and fired a shot. You never expect this. It’s not someone yelling “draw!” The rest of your lecture is spot on. Was at least a quarter second behind the curve when I was trying to anticipate your action. I was way behind at first when you were captivating us with your introduction. I think the first part is what hurts the most. Excellent presentation.
Fantastic, and sobering reaction drill. No one could react fast enough to shoot first. Thank you for the eye opener. (Now I’ll just have nightmares about moving too slow😉).
It’s a double edged sword my friend. If my family is in the car then damned if you do damned if you don’t. Jury always finds a way to make it your fault because they will always have the (correct answer) in their mind of how you should have handled the situation. Not all jury’s are that way but in todays day in age it’s unfortunate. I’ll risk jail anytime to protect my family.
Action is quicker than reaction. Furthermore as you've said, avoid trouble area/situation at all cost. Prevention is much better than coming out of it alive. Cheers digger from Australia.
I’m with you John. Tactically speaking any gesture when your right up on me would make me fear for my life. If you come at me with a gun let alone a rifle. I’m either going to run or defend. That’s really tough situation. He just should have not been there. I understand people end up in bad situations but seeing that crowd I would have avoided it. Or if I needed to go in that way I would have been on foot and capable of being able to get off the X
You got it! John is teaching you to react on the basis of your fear rather than your discretion. That’s why he’s ham handedly trying to justify a tyrant right now whose trying to upturn our system of checks and balances 😅 and for the sake of crowd pleasing no less, and the money he’s hoping to milk by it!
Wow, this puts a whole new perspective on things. Thank you for bringing this to the table, John. Have a great evening everyone if your still alive after this video.
John is really leaning into the cult behavior these days, where he tests his subjects by seeing who is willing to be slain by him, while teaching them how to best conduct violence during traffic stops and situations like them.
I managed to simultaneously react to your action just once...situational awareness is so important as well as managing risk. Perry should've been found innocent...but it's Austin...bleeding heart capital of Texas.
Here’s a reality check for you: you allowed yourself to be trained by John to let him kill you. Your first mistake was letting John tell you what to do.
Instructions unclear, shot my phone...
Me too! Now I hear sirens though 😮

Thanks John for killing me every time I think we all needed that reality check today

Making yourself dumber than John Lovell is no real virtue. Referring to his self imposed inability to write here, of course!

Wow how many lives do you have?
I was doing pretty good with the revolver until he through his empty hand up and then proceeded to shoot me.
I feel like Mr. Perry should not even need to be pardoned in the first place. The threat towards his life was real, present, and literally fractions of a second and inches away from him.
The Austin DA is at fault. Thank Soros.
I agree and the police said it was a clean shoot it was the DA who push this.
Recognize that there is no fair jury especially in the cities. It's probably the one place we could reform constitutionally for the better.

"The threat towards his life was real, present, and literally fractions of a second and inches away from him."
How so? Perry admitted that Foster DID NOT aim the rifle at him. Therefore, there needed to be some other action that Perry relied upon. So, what was that action?
Got me punching my phone across my office 😂😂
Me too😂😂
Girlfriend is looking at me like I’ve lost my mind 😂
no joke I was eating a BBQ sandwich and launched my fork up in to the air. Honestly best I can do is both of us are dead, reaction time wise.
I’m sure that was the real point: speaking confidently while sowing error.
Let the soros DA know I set the phone one my lap, and after several replays was able to beat John.
Really puts things into perspective, and how little time there is to act. Great demonstration!
It actually misappropriates that perspective which is irrefutably life saving.
Have you ever heard the phrase:
“Innocent until proven guilty,” (?)
You should really consider offering your tactical expertise to courts. The jury deserves to know these things. Good shit John.
Ciekawy wykład. Dziękuję i pozdrawiam.
Unfortunately it was laced with:
1) Willful ignorance (lack of situational awareness of notional John’s intention).
- Tony Blauer
Detect to avoid ; Defuse to de-escalate, scape and work on a plan if all fails; Defend if you and your loved ones are in imminent or actual danger with the force needed to solve the problem with the least amount of harm to yourself and your opponent too. - Tony Blauer
I liked how you represented a real life scenario having us “live” through it considering fear, stress, reactionary gap (reaction, response and distance/time).
It wasn’t a real life scenario, nor did it represent one. John trained you all to allow antagonists to outflank you, while training you to ambush police officers at traffic stops.
Not a cool aid that should be on the menu in my opinion.
The action/reaction drill was eye opening. Great job, John.
clear case of self defense, he was not looking for problems, but the guy protesting with an AK while masked was. Great Demo as always.
@@ryonrobynson John's standard of cowardice? Please explain this to me like I'm 5 years old.
As far as getting into a bar fight or a riot situation or 57 men hit squads, I just don't go to places where those things happen 🤷♀️
But hey, don't let my criticism be viewed as a dismissal.
Some times we end up in bad places it just happens. He was in fear for his life as I would have been and I’d say that 98% of the people that convicted him would haven used similar tactics or wouldn’t even be here to care about it.

Another great video. Thank you, John. I'd like to see you run this scenario from Daniel's perspective in one them fancy simulators. Let's make that happen.
Perhaps if you left off your anonymity John wouldn’t be riddling you through with haughty non-responsiveness.
Mr. Perry proved your point that action beats reaction. He took action first and lived to tell the tale even when he was outgunned in a kill box and surrounded.
Never cover a revolver with a cloth or garment. The hammer might be blocked as you try to shoot. Also the cloth could become caught on something when you
try to raise the gun. Had the first happen in training. Be safe out there.
Works with a concealed hammer frame. I've done experiments with semi auto underneath clothing where sometimes it worked, other times didn't.

Ever hear of a hammerless revolver?
He did say "step 1, get a better gun."
Pray God continues to strengthen good men to stand and do the right things.

When I move you move just like that! 😂
I want to pull one of the better ones from Hagakure-
“If by setting one’s heart right every morning and evening, one is able to live as though his body were already dead, he gains freedom in the Way.”
Let that roll around in your brainpan.
This is a wonderful example of why aggression is so important in a fight.

I like the way Steven Crowder articulates these matters. He would say that the man with the AK-47 didn’t necessarily deserve to die, but he did in fact forfeit his right to live by threatening another person with lethal force.
As much as I don't like Steven Crowder (due to recent events) he's right and he speaks facts.
Also I think John has more time behind a rifle than a pistol.
being a lefty in that same ambush I was double dead from the get go. I need to live in Japan where they respect the left handed driver and I have faster access to my weapon! 🤣
The UA-cam overlords served this up quick 🤣
Because they want John to be exposed as a fraud.
Really bad idea putting a garment over a semi auto if you think you may need to fire the weapon.
The gases create a strong vacuum just as the slide is thrown back and draw in the fabric..jamming the gun.
Try it, if you want. Especially try concealing the gun under the covers on a bed and fire the gun under the covers.
being honest, yeah I'm dead 🤣💀
So not representative of a real life situation then.
How about you give it a try? I’m curious myself but my hunch is it won’t interfere like you would expect.

I was instantly dead while watching this on my toilet.

@@ryonrobynson Can you expand? Not being a jerk; I'm genuinely curious.
@@BBEEAATTNNGGUU Ryon = Troll
@@ryonrobynson Huh?
@Ryon Robynson That's psycho talk right there. Are you taking your meds? You sound crazy 🤪
John,
Love the channel. It Always causes me to THINK and reevaluate my plans, actions, practice and training.
We now have three organizations in America "3!" that seem to have been given a license to commit terror and tyranny against civil society from the executive branch/local DA-DOJ/ and the national media
Rats hit the submit before landing the plane! Lol! I was just going to say plan accordingly to avoid these hot beds of activity.
Damn.
I can see how John has effectively exasperated you, by emphasizing the futility of not shooting first.
What’s next?
Is John going to tell us all how carpet bombing Afghans was the better way to “avoid,” the situation?
@@ryonrobynson Ahh yes... you can see things your confirmation bias tells you to see. "exasperation" from a goofy demonstration. lol. Are you playing dumb or is it your full time gig? If they didn't want to get bombed, perhaps they shouldn't have been bombing. If you want to talk about an unjust war, you can try Iraq where Obama killed whomever he pleased as he preached his message of unity while dividing the country and entrenching political tools to usurp and override the small amount of stability left.
Thanks for the info God bless you
I was dead every time even knowing it was coming😳 that is a sobering experiment.
Your first mistake was allowing John Lovell to tell you what to do.
I think think some prime Hereford or Angus would be a nice thing to get a Warpoet discount on. So yes Sportsmans guide should sell cattle.
James Yeager would have touched the screen and googled “all the reasons John is wrong” before your finger cleared the safety. 😂 miss that dude
Perhaps John would comment if he was actually interested in life saving training, rather than just milking all the Mabels around here for a bit of money.
Great lesson
Stuck in the middle of a riot (more or less) a masked stranger/rioter with an AK walks up to my window... I would take that as a sign I'm about to be robbed or killed. He done what ANY sane person & responsible gun owner would do
Why didn’t you ask any questions before he got there.
Practice makes perfect:
“Hey man I don’t want any trouble. You mind helping me get out of here safely?”
“Hey bro, nice piece. Can’t say I like the mask though, ha…
You mind being my road guard for a minute? I get what you’re doing.”
“Hey what’s up. Sorry I ran that red light. Guess I got caught up in the hub bub. You mind giving me a spot so I can get out of here no problems…”
“Hey bro, sorry I’m lost. I got a little skiddish back there. You mind giving me directions.”
Go ahead and write these down in your own words.
Visualize the circumstances, including an inevitably awesome outcome. Create for yourself the right file folders, and you won’t end up in jail. Even if you do, it won’t be as bad as you think, if you can talk yourself out of trouble. Criminals always respect someone who can talk their way out of trouble, if only for a time.
@@ryonrobynson your right, but if I walked into a bank with a mask and a gun. And tattoos everywhere.... They would probably shoot or arrest me, even if I was just looking for directions... 🤔
@@ryonrobynson believe me, I know how it goes. Real recognize real and I grew up in the shit.... I personally could walk through them talking and blend in.... But I wouldn't be there in the first place..... Unless.. 🤔

I need a Mabel, Sportsmans guide, should totally sell cows
As long as the “warpoet” discount code applies to cows too.
They utterly should.
@@boydwhite3708 thats udderly preposterous! but a good ideal anyway.... i say sell cows now! use the warrior poet discount for 20% off.....lets get behind this.... carefully......
I’m pretty sure you’ve confused wants and needs on account of some feverish lack of rationality.
Care to prove otherwise?
@@donmiller8152 Very carefully.
A revolver is one of my EDC carry items. Not only can they be shot out of a pocket or in the car without brass flying everywhere but they're particularly useful against dogs. Once a dog latches onto you it doesn't stay still. You need a firearm that you can push into it without pushing it out of battery. If ambushed in a car when I can access my Glock 17 that's what I'm using. But it's cold and I'm drawing out of my field jacket it's going to be my Taurus 856 loaded with plus P 125 jacketed hollow points.
I see why you practice anonymity: you don’t want anyone to cross reference your storyline.
Was a police report filed, and if so, where can it be found?
Don’t blame me for being suspicious. You are wearing a mask here after all!
@@ryonrobynson dude I don't care if you believe me or not, at all. It happened, and it taught me a valuable lesson. Thats it. Get a life.
@@no_step_on_snek9796 if you don’t care if people believe you or not, why would you bother to share?
@@ryonrobynson I shared the story because its very relevant to the video and others may have had similar events or experiences. You know, the reason the comment section is here.
What we have here is the 80/20 rule. 80% will read it and move on. They may like it, they may scoff, whatever. 20% will be the undesirables like you, who like to troll people online and be general assholes who attempt to make themselves look "smart" or "skeptical", but end up making themselves look like ignorant window lickers (people who lick windows for fun).
My question to you is- why do you care? I don't give two SHITS why you're watching this video or what it means to you. Why are you so worried about my comment? Did it "trigger" you?
I really want to know why you feel the need to try to discredit what I say, when you know nothing about me or anything I said.
Great demonstration, thanks! I think I learned some interesting lessons:
1. Action > Reaction, especially if you're using fake moves. That's realistic though - is someone going for a gun or just reaching for their phone?
2. I want to see them first before they see me
3. I'm all for prevention! I think what you said a lot of people miss when it comes to self-defense... not getting in the situation to have to fight/shoot in the first place
4. I'm in the market for a cow :o
Thanks for this :)
As a previous resident of Portland during the Summer of Love, I can completely sympathize with this guy's actions. My wife and I were caught in a similar situation downtown as we were driving back from the Oregon Coast. Luckily, we were never stopped as he was but there were many folks that were not so lucky. After that night we never set foot in downtown again and eventually moved to TX in 2021.
FYI I damn near broke my computer monitor during this video.
And from what I recall he was working as an Uber driver that night as well.
@@carls2210 I believe you are correct.
@@carls2210, working as an Uber driver is non-exonerating.
Fear of some bodily harm, does not in and of itself justify lethal violence.
Do you think Daniel complained about tactical operating procedures designed to prevent civilian casualties, while in the military?
Do you think he had any confined kills at all?
Do you think he made weight most of his career?
Fantastic illustration of being proactive instead of being reactive.
Jokes on you i played this video at 1/4 speed.
😆
Perry knew and sent clear messages of his intent.
You got me the first couple of times but I was right with you on the others only because I knew it was coming. However in a real world situation I would probably have been killed.
Why do you laud your own ineptitude on the basis of doing what John tells you to do?
Would you tie yourself up, and sip some cool aid if he told you to do it?
Great video and insight into that particular case.
Well done!
Flattery is a snare. You would be wise to save John from it!
@Ryon Robynson Are you trying to sound Biblical?
_BLM rioter_ , not protestor
Lets go Brandon!
I got even with you on a couple of them, but you still got me.
I shot you because you scratched your head...sorry, bro
A is ABILITY, and exists when the potential adversary possesses the physical capability to inflict deadly force (cause serious and/or lethal injury) to any innocent bystander(s)
O is OPPORTUNITY, and exists when the circumstances make it possible for the aforementioned ability to be used by the potential adversary
J is Jeopardy, and exists when the potential inherent Opportunity/Ability is made kinetic (or could be make kinetic before a response with reasonable expectation for successful mitigation could be deployed)
Unpacking Ability, Opportunity, and Jeopardy:
1. ) Always assume everyone has the Ability to harm you or others.
John, John, John, You need to get your chickens and cows ear pro.
You started the response perfectly "stay away from stupid circumstances with Stupid people!! first and foremost!
You're absolutely spot on with this video, John. Thanks for continuing to put out top notch content!
Great work John! Scooby snacks for you.

I managed to simultaneously react to your action just once...situational awareness is so important as well as managing risk. Perry should've been found innocent...but it's Austin...bleeding heart capital of Texas.
