This video shows how to control the RJM Music Effect Gizmo audio loop switcher using a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro MIDI Controller. Both preset and instant access modes are shown.
The Effect Gizmo works with just about every MIDI foot controller including the RJM Mastermind, RJM Mastermind GT, Liquid Foot, Fractal's MFC-101

You can connect 12 pedals. The GR-20 can be connected to the return of a loop, with the loop send left open. When the loop is activated, the GR-20 signal will be inserted into the signal chain at that point, ignoring the signal from the previous loops.
It depends on your amp. If you can plug a guitar into each input and have them work simultaneously, it'll work (although you'll have to check and see if the hi and low inputs are still working at their intended levels). If plugging into one jack disables the other, then the amp won't work without modification.
Yes, you can do that. You'll need to send some MIDI commands to the Mini Effect Gizmo to get it set to GCX3 - you can only do GCX 1 and 2 from the front panel. The commands only need to be sent once, though. We can ever do it for you if you buy direct from us.

I recommend using a Rack Gizmo instead - it has 8 audio loops plus 8 switches dedicated to controlling amp channel switching. You can get a cable made for each amp and they will plug into the Amp 1 and Amp 2 jacks of the Rack Gizmo. Two of the audio loops could be used to switch between the amps, and the remaining six loops could switch effects.

Is there any way to run into both inputs (high and low) of an amp here? I had thought about using a line selector to do this on my VH100R a while ago because I prefer low input for cleans and hi input for dirty. Would be able to sell my GH100L if there was a way to do this
This thing looks brilliant! I'm only new to looking at effects controllers (I've been running a GT8 through the front of my amp for all my effects and distortions so far).
I'm planning on running 2 Laney amps, a VH100R and GH100L. Would this controller be able to switch between amps, switch channels on the amps and also control the added drive/reverb each channel? Eg, I want straight distortion + drive on the VH100R for preset 1, then preset two, the GH100L completely clean with a delay pedal

That's a version 1 Effect Gizmo in the video, but the setup for the newer models is exactly the same.

No, the GC Pro does not allow you to change what an IA button controls from preset to preset.
i have a question, what is MIDI CC for control write button effect gizmo? i have read the manual, but i can't find it, thanks.
Sorry, there is no CC that stores settings on the Effect Gizmo.
Hello! Thank you so much for this information. I have a question though: In 4 Presets/Bank Mode, is there a way to change the 8 Instant Access Buttons per preset or per bank? Or these Instant Access Buttons will always be a Fixed Global Configuration? In other words: Let's say, in Bank 1, Preset 1, Instant Access Button 2 is my Phaser; but in Bank 2, Preset 3, Instant Access Button 2 is my Overdrive… Can I do that?
To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to change the instant access button configuration from preset to preset, but you should ask Voodoo Lab for confirmation on that.

Yes, you can control two of them using presets on the Ground Control. You can set them up as GCX1-4, or if you don't need to use IA buttons on the Ground Control, you can control them with program changes from the Ground Control.

It's hard to say. It could be intermittent cables, an insufficient power supply or the Effect Gizmo itself. What are you using to power the Effect Gizmo? What amp do you have?

For effects gizmo 1500 mah 9v ac power supply that gives power via phantom power via 7 pin midi cable to gcp
Sometimes works sometimes jams.
Effects changes are ok no problem.
Amp channels sometimes dont work dont trigger the relays on the gizmo

Does it affect all three amps, and when it happens, are the lights on the Effect Gizmo also incorrect?

Lights on gizzmo are correct so not the cables

Can i put power 9v ac on gcm a 12 v dc on gizmo and 5 pin midi and see what happens? maybe
system draws more amps and power supply isnt enough for relays?so with 2 supplies is ok?
As long as you use a 5-pin MIDI cable between the two units, it's ok to use 2 separate power supplies. It would be a good thing to try. When the Effect Gizmo isn't getting enough power, the relays will not always turn on when expected.
looks like you need a college certificate to under stand this and you are good I will stay with my Line 6 M 13
