  • Voodoo Lab pedals are amazing. They just are. But you don't have to take my word for it... wait yes you do. But you can also hear them today. I'm giving some history as to why and how they were game changers in the mid-90s and how they're still killing it today. In the comments tell me if you've ever heard Helen Stellar and about a band you heard of from a movie soundtrack!

Randy California was the guitarist in Spirit; he was tweaking his own gear as a teen in the 60’s when Hendrix asked him to join his band in NYC, he was too young though. I was fortunate to catch Spirit in the San Diego Stadium parking lot for 1 dollar in the 80’s. Randy played a Purple FrankenStrat and when he lit into his solos the air became rarified. His equally brilliant stepfather Ed Cassidy was also something to behold on drums, one of a kind. Fans of fuzz and Rock in general should deep dive into the first four Spirit albums, but start backwards. 😉music.ua-cam.com/video/l-2A7FgHx4s/v-deo.html&feature=share

The low pass filter makes it way more musical imho. The moog one is just straight up gnarly and you need to tune it very carefully. Sounds good though.
