As someone who has dated a broke guy with 0 ambition, I can confirm its true. I was working my ass off and succeeding, manifesting, but his lack of drive disencouraged me. He always talked about his "dreams" but never worked on or commited to them. Whats more, he could not handle my success or me working on my stuff, he would be very opinionated and said stuff like it wouldn't last forever, what I should be doing instead, etc. I dedicated my time to the relationship and that was my biggest mistake.

If you are broke, dating should not be your priority. You can't take care of somebody else/provide for a woman if you can't take care of yourself. Honestly, the only thing that can change a man is him wanting to change. I used to have MANY problems with my boyfriend until we couldn't take it anymore (because there was so much drama constantly) and he went to therapy and WORKED to be a better man, not only for me but for everyone around him. Whaven't had a heavy discussion since and we're more in love than ever before. That's how I learnt that it's not my job to fix him, I can be his emotional support just like he is to me but I'm not supposed to be his therapist nor his mother. So girls, stop wasting your time with men that do not want to change and that don't love their loved ones enough to change for them. Of course, this doesn't mean you should leave a man every time you two have a problem, it means you should leave him if he doesn't care that there is a problem or you're not receiving back the energy you're giving him
@@Septal06 Therapy has worked for me (for my personal issues) and for many of my friends. Of course if the situation you're in is bad for your mental health then you won't get better, but if it's a trauma thing, therapy really helps healing. It's a matter of finding the right therapist, I'm sorry if you or someone you know has had a bad experience, but saying it won't work for the majority isn't true. Of course, like I said in my original comment, my boyfriend wanted to change. Therapy won't magically solve your issues, it's just a tool that helps make healing easier, however, it will take very hard work and lots of introspection
@@SintD The only thing that healed me was Gym, I was going through a lots of stuffs during pandemic ( 2020 ) and last year, both Trauma and Mental Health Issues, but when one my close friends introduced me to the Gym, It was almost like I started a new life, now I’m doing way better than before, I work, I study, I go Gym with my folks and friends and I have routine for my health, so everything basically worked with Gym for me and my friends.

As someone who has dated a broke guy with 0 ambition, I can confirm its true. I was working my ass off and succeeding, manifesting, but his lack of drive disencouraged me. He always talked about his "dreams" but never worked on or commited to them. Whats more, he could not handle my success or me working on my stuff, he would be very opinionated and said stuff like it wouldn't last forever, what I should be doing instead, etc. I dedicated my time to the relationship and that was my biggest mistake.

Honestly, the only thing that can change a man is him wanting to change. I used to have MANY problems with my boyfriend until we couldn't take it anymore (because there was so much drama constantly) and he went to therapy and WORKED to be a better man, not only for me but for everyone around him. Whaven't had a heavy discussion since and we're more in love than ever before. That's how I learnt that it's not my job to fix him, I can be his emotional support just like he is to me but I'm not supposed to be his therapist nor his mother. So girls, stop wasting your time with men that do not want to change and that don't love their loved ones enough to change for them. Of course, this doesn't mean you should leave a man every time you two have a problem, it means you should leave him if he doesn't care that there is a problem or you're not receiving back the energy you're giving him

Therapy won’t work, perhaps for some people but won’t for majority.
@@Septal06 Therapy has worked for me (for my personal issues) and for many of my friends. Of course if the situation you're in is bad for your mental health then you won't get better, but if it's a trauma thing, therapy really helps healing. It's a matter of finding the right therapist, I'm sorry if you or someone you know has had a bad experience, but saying it won't work for the majority isn't true.
Of course, like I said in my original comment, my boyfriend wanted to change. Therapy won't magically solve your issues, it's just a tool that helps make healing easier, however, it will take very hard work and lots of introspection
@@SintD The only thing that healed me was Gym, I was going through a lots of stuffs during pandemic ( 2020 ) and last year, both Trauma and Mental Health Issues, but when one my close friends introduced me to the Gym, It was almost like I started a new life, now I’m doing way better than before, I work, I study, I go Gym with my folks and friends and I have routine for my health, so everything basically worked with Gym for me and my friends.

I can relate with it so much. My first relationship experience was the worst. He was a guy with a really big ego who never accepted his mistakes even when he was wrong. He did the bare minimum and I would always brag to my friends about it. He pressured me so much into going physical with him even when I wasn't ready. Yet,I went with his ways because I wanted him to happy and not disappoint him.If I declined,he would say that he doesn't have expectations from me.I never demanded anything from him but he always did. I wanted to save my V card for marriage but he even took that from me. Our relationship went downhill because of him and at last I ended things with him. Only after breaking things up,I actually realised how toxic he was and did the bare minimum. I realised what kind of a person he actually was and I regret till this day for giving away my virginity to someone like him. Because as Liz said,"Men like Virgins". Every person's situation is different. If a guy has financial problems and is struggling in life no need to attach that identity to who he is as a person.I had females aggressively pay the whole bills for me no matter how hard I tried rejecting it. It’s not about a brother having money or not; it’s about him being resourceful, ambitious and having a believe in himself. Because circumstances are circumstances and at the end of the day what we want is a man that shows up, steps up and is a real man. Imagine a guy who wants to be a teacher, makes no money, but enough to provide you with the basics all the while he is living out his purpose and he’s in his element. That is what is attractive.
