What a gorgeous plane you have created. I just found your channel and am saddened to see you haven't put out a video in quite some time.. almost 2.5 years. Good content. If you're able I'm sure there are many of us who would like to see more of your creations. Thanks for this video.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! I will definitely do a Pro/Con and Explanation video about the design and what I would do differently the next time.
I have yet to make a hand plane from scratch. One thing that has always puzzled me is why on planes made from 12/4 wood, is why there is no hole drilled from one end through the main body. Any wood, 12/4 and thicker never reaches equilibrium and the inside is at higher moisture content than the outside which creates stress, and stress is relieved by cracking. I have never seen an antique plane of this thickness that didn't have multiple cracks in it. Nice looking plane anyway.
Oh, you are right! I totally missed to include a shot of the first curls. I will definitely do that with the next plane I make. Thanks and have a nice day!
Thank you so much for your ecouraging words! Since so many people expressed their interest in a third video about the handplane I will definitely make one. Have a great day! :)
Great demonstration. A follow-up video on design and demonstrating the cutting capability would be appreciated.

Nice work!
I would love to hear the pros and cons of this design. So yes third video please. Just discovered you, great videography. Thanks.

That’s a plane I could fall in love with.
Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing
Turned out great, nice work.
Thank you very much! Makes me happy that you liked it.
Very nice build! However when you make a video of a plane build you need to show the first curls being cut! Your video production is very good.

Your craftsmanship, vocal delivery and videography are brilliant. Thanks I’m interested in the design details and potential changes also.

Great handcraft work shown in an aesthetic video style. Clear and understandable explanation. Would love to see more like this in the future.
Thank you very much Peter! There will be a few more interesting project documentations coming up in the next weeks. :)
Love your videos: well explained and great videography and aesthetics! More of them please 🙌
Thank you so much Skander, really means a lot to me! There will be some more coming up soon., I hope you'll enjoy it! :)
I like - need more info
Please list the supplier for the Norris type mechanism and cutting iron. Also,...a demo of your new plane would be nice.
Veritas sells the kit and blade used in this video.
No shavings, no proof it was a success.
