That’s very interesting I run a 1.5 dCi it’s about 65,000 miles now , I’ve heard of this fault but was not sure witch pipe got blocked , I’m wondering if it’s worth cleaning it like this every few years rather than let it get blocked Thanks for the heads up
This brings back memories of my Nissan Qashqai, the trick here is to get the thinnest bike gear cable for the drill feed. I also put a sht load of wd40 down mine and it seemed to work. Its one hell of a tedious job though.
Thanks Jimmy, great video.. I'm an ageing mechanic so learning so much from your dpf vids. I did however get a hydraulic lock after putting in the fluid. Is this usual or was i just unlucky?
Its not shown but did you reset the dpf learned values after flushing the dpf with the fluid? Or if there is no faults related to dpf ,like in this case only upstream pressure fault, you dont reset the dpf?
Is there a pressure tester available like the one you use on the pipe but not connected to a compressor? So just a manual one, as I think I have this problem but don't want to buy a compressor and bits..cheers
Offtopic ...ive got an 4n13 engine ...no enginelight on ore stored errors ...just when i start the engine when cold like from 5 up to -10 Celsius i get a consistent puf of smoke that smells like unburned diesel no matter how many times i do a glowplug cycle ...from what i can guess is that when cold the theres not enough heat in the cylinders to burn of the first cranks ...but i've seen others and it starts wit no problems like mine ...what could be the cause ? Glowplug were changed
if you try to clean Dpf with your method on this engine 1.5dci 110 euro 6 is there a danger of HYDRO LOCK because the gases from Dpf go to the Egr cooler and there are two Egr valves and then to the intake?

Exactly, then blame DPF and adblue systems. Like Jimmy says, 99% of the time a blocked DPF etc is the symptom of an underlying issue not the cause

That's same engine as my captur. It's covered 75k miles no problems How far would I need to drive north from sw ? And what would be cost please

I have high blood pressure. Normally, it is supposed to be 1049, but for me it is 1200
