- Spoiler alert: yes, this is a phenomenal syrup recipe that I’d suggest to anyone who even remotely likes pumpkin.
Balanced and warming, without an overpowering sweetness or artificial pumpkin flavor!
By the way, I’m releasing a coffee next week so find me on Instagram to learn more and keep up to date on that!
Check out the full recipe here: www.jameshoffmann.co.uk/the-u...

See you next week!
Thank you so much for trying it and especially for sharing it! (and also for the extremely generous score!).
I’m looking forward to your coffee release next week, very interested to see what you’ve been working on. Good luck for the launch!
I hope to see her on your channel next year!
What a legend.
I hope you review her coffee eventually James
Glad to see you here James!
Have England and the States just reconciled over coffee???
Man walks in to coffee shop
“I’ll have the pumpkin spiced latte”
6 hours later coffees ready
😳
Of course no. They don't sell it if you don't order it 48 hours in advance.
Inorite? You'd think they would make batches in advance and store it so all that's left to do when an order comes in is prepare the espresso and combine everything.
lol, not like they would be grinding the spices and squeezing out the juice right when someone asks for it XD
Yeah this is way too much of a hassle.
Only influencers and stuck-ups will even think of trying this
Ig you can make the syrup in large batches beforehand
For everyone who wants to make this, when I made it, I warmed up the pumpkin puree in the microwave to release some of the juice. So much better! Let it completely cool before trying to extract.
I tried the recipe when James posted it and didn't have a juicer either. Funnily I came up with the same solution as you! I really loved the result, it is really delicious with tea and milk, too!
Ooh, adding it to a black tea sounds amazing!
Same!
'I'm more of a Clove fan than James is' That's not all that hard.....
Will we see more Hoffman cross-overs? Morgan Drinks Disgusting Coffee Soft Drinks? Morgan Drinks 70-Year-Old Coffee?
👀👀👀
I was just thinking how awesome it would be for James and Morgan to visit each other post-covid for a video series
If we finally get to hang out and drink coffee next year, then I think it ought to be something delicious!
morgan drinks the best cheap manual coffee grinders
@@jameshoffmann drink something questionable please 👀
Makes me happy when content creators try each other's recipes. I'm honestly a pumpkin spice latte fan myself and wouldn't mind enjoying them all year round or maybe extend the fall season a bit more. I'm not the biggest fan of winter drinks, although I guess the new starbucks Jolly Apple Latte is an exception but it still reminds me of fall! haha XD
LOL I loved the dishwashing bit at the end. I very much appreciate seeing that in cooking videos, the cleanup. Also, it's cool how you mix things up and modify the recipe as you go along. It's very inspiring! 😃
This recipe is giving America’s Test Kitchen vibes with time and number of steps. I’m glad it tastes delicious after all that effort!
Even though it produces a big mess to clean up, the benefit of the syrup, in my experience, is that it produced more than enough for my PSL drinking season. If you really are a PSL keener, or have more than one in the same household, you might have to make it twice.
Two of my favorite coffee UA-camrs coming together (in a way)
I was just craving some pumpkin spice and here comes a notification coming from the skyes! I’ll try asap
Glad you tried this recipe out. We are waiting for all of our spices to arrive to make it here (mess and all). You make the process look easier to do than James did.
As a Morgan who loves coffee, I'm so pleasantly surprised to find your channel! Keep up the great work Morgan! :D
Waiting for Hoffmans review about yours
After making his, I’d like to officially retract my recipe and crown his The Ultimate PSL 🙌
But we just left pumpkin spice season and entered peppermint season! Peppermint Mocha upcoming?
Yaaaasssssss
You betcha!
@@morgandrinkscoffee looking forward to it!
@jameshoffman has to do one as well! :D
Peppermint white mocha*
This makes me so happy. This is the best Thanksgiving gift ❤️🦃
FYI, the nutmeg should be purchased whole and ground fresh. Hoffman talks about it briefly in his video, but nutmeg (like coffee) has a bunch of VOCs that break down pretty quickly after grinding, and so the powdered stuff just isn't quite the same. That's true of the ginger as well, though.
Preach. I grew up with freshly ground nutmeg, first time I tried powdered I was pretty horrified.
I just feel very confident that whole nutmeg can be easily attained in PDX
Great ideas, Morgan!! Oohhh that looks so good!!!
I tried this today it's really good😋 thanks for the recipe☺️
the crossover we've all been waiting for
Just had my first barista interview. I've been watching your content since I done my barista course back in July. Love your content.
Thank you! And congratulations, that’s so exciting!
Morgan I came from TikTok but I love the style and content of your youtube!! Can't wait for what's to come!!!
Nice job! Morgan is truly back!
Can’t wait for the coffee release good luck and I hope it all goes to plan
Couldn’t wait to see this video!!
I absolutely love this recipe! This is the 2nd year that my fiance and I have made pumpkin spice lattees in the month of October.
I can’t wait to see what peppermint drink you have for the holidays!
Omww, my two favorite coffee people!
always appreciate your videos!
I just made a batch of this last night, actually before I saw this video, from James' recipe. I used a macerating juicer and I think your juicing method was probably A) faster and B) a cleaner juice. The juicer I used had a ton of pulp, which makes getting through a cheese cloth at the end a royal pain.
Love these two worlds colliding!!!
You’ve got the cinnamons backwards. Cassia cinnamon is the more common one in the states and it’s what generally people think of here when you say cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon aka “true” cinnamon is less common here and you mostly can find it whole, not ground. Nice to see someone make this in a normal hot e kitchen. I was curious about trying it.
I LOVE James Hoffman
My quick and easy pumpkin cold foam cold brew: cold brew, then mix heavy whipping cream with a little bit of canned pumpkin, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice blend in a blender for 15-20 seconds 👌
I can’t wait to sew this with you!
Hello like this recipe and will give it a try. I also wanted to let you know that Cassia bark is known here in the States as Vietnamese Cinnamon. I am not a very coffee drinker myself, but my son loves the various possibilities I can make him. Thank you so much. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
After I had done the spice syrup, I got an ahh moment. I make the syrup thicker. I can use this same syrup in my flan and have it pumpkin spiced flan. Thank you, Morgan. 💚
Your smile while drinking the finished result gave me life. So cool to see my two favorite coffee UA-camrs interacting, even in an indirect way!
Just found your channel. Freakin love your hair! I’m sure it’s changed by now but this was a good look. Also, your kitchen is lookin hella nice
That looks delicious!
You and James Hoffman are the 2 responsible for my current caffeine addiction
love the wholesome content :))
Thats the You Tube we all need in 2020 Kudos :)
You're amazing 😭😭... please gorgeous next time show us how to make saffron latte 🥺💕💕💕
I made this syrup and drank pumpkin spice lattes for a month straight, it’s good!
Everything in this video is so beautiful
Love this vid very soothing. Go Beavs!
If you want a 10/10 try some whole nutmeg the taste is so much nicer.
But expect that I probably wouldn't change a thing has this recipe sound amazing.
I'm interested to do it ... maybe next October I'll give it a go, thanks 👍
I like you can see on her face how much she enjoyed the concoction! :D
Im watching his video and it occurred to me that if you want to extract juice by blending the pumpkin it would probably be a good idea to add the volume of water during the blending. Pumpkins are a bit drier thank most juiced fruits and veggies so I think that water would work wonders to help extra more juice from the blended pulp. This looks delicious!
Delicious!!
lovely crossover between /the/ two coffee youtubers
The way i instinctively knew how you were going to fold the apron because i do that too... short problems. I miss working in a boba/coffee shop (it was both 😂)
Please tell us you're making a pitch to be a guest creator for James's channel! It needs to happen!
I’m submitting it today actually! :))
@@morgandrinkscoffee Wooo! Best of luck!
@@morgandrinkscoffee ok well he told on his reddit sub that u got rejected cuz he wants to give chance to smaller channel...i.e. you're overqualified and instead you 2 are planning a collab vid?! 😀
Pumpkin Spice just refers to the spice blend, most recipes don't actually have pumpkin in them. A lot of pumpkin spice things are just the spice. I might try this next season, sans pumpkin. lol
You know you're a coffee person when you esspesso machine costs more than your oven and refrigerator combined. :)
I also did it and it‘s great
Many thanks for this video
Hoffmann is THE Coffee King.
I know I'm a bit late, but I'm new here. I noticed in one of your videos that you live in the Portland area, and you have access to an amazing spice store called Penzey's. It's right across from Powells, and I highly recommend them!
It is a very good receipe
Thanks for the shout out! :) Aren't those premium spices so worth it?? (+1 for using grams!)
100% worth it!
Yay, new coffee person.
You should try making a mocha but substitute regular coffee with turkish coffee
Oooh I'm gonna make a big batch of this stuff in my culinary program's kitchen!! That way I don't have to pay for the spices and coffee, and plus that's where the espresso machine I have access to lives!
That mug is sooo cute! I NEED IT Where is it from?
My man Xris getting famous by the moment!
I loved your video and can't wait to try to make this syrup myself. I collected all the ingrdients but I can't find Cassia anywhere. Can I substitute it with an equal amount of cinnamon quills?
@MorganDrinksCoffee new apron?! I’m a huge fan of my Hedley & Bennett and looks like they are running a sale this weekend for BF/CM
When its Morgan. U just like even before watching cause u know its good 👍
I love your videosss
since you are using a cheese cloth, you can use the whole grinded pumping to get more flavor
Good video 😤👊
If i want a pumpkin spice latte, i just at a helping teaspoon of pumpkin butter. I pick up a jar every year at my local apple orchard. If you dont like the the texture of adding it, you could always infuse your milk with it bad then strain through a cheesecloth, but i dont mind it
that lil pumpkin just sitting there is so cute 🥺
- honeypot films
Pumpkin Juice whoo kneww and It was good to take this recipe and show it to us :)
oh also Thank You Mr. James :)
LOVE that mug! Any idea what brand it is?
Wow I want to try this 😋 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Having made a huge batch of this for my work here's a few tips, you can just use a fine grater disc in a food processor rather than blending it, I'm not sure if it was the spices I used instead of the exact recipe or the fact that I was trying to reduce down the syrup whilst running around but it has a really weird consistency that can actually pull a lot more syrup out of the bottle than you intend to pour
you are funny :D , I really liked the humor.
What software do you use for your voiceover?
And also, could you use canned pumpkin?
By the way, quick way to get the puree: cut the gourd in half or in quarters, then put it in a baking sheet with half an inch of water. Then bake in the oven until the tip of the knife goes through the pumpkin
I don’t even work this hard on dinner 😂😳lol but we appreciate the work
Masala is a nice word for 'spice mix' :)
Dude how does she talk without moving her mouth, that's so crazy. She's the best ventriloquist on UA-cam.
Tells us they are measuring in mertic today. "1 portafilter of medium ground coffee" 0_0
Love your work Morgan
This man is the winner of 2007 *World Barista Championship.* Of course it's gonna be great
Very delicious
Great video

Nutmegs can be bought at an Amish store. Usually you get more than one.
Where did you get your rack that is on the wall? That's really neat.
I like your video and then I love it your coffee, brilliant coffee
hey where is the mug in your thumbnail from? it’s so pretty!
Mug!!! Mug from where?? So cute and matisse-y
Hi Morgan, weird question, do you happen to have any favorite tea you tubers who do any kind of similar work to you. I am much more a tea drinker and have struggled to find anything as relaxing and pleasant as yours
Just saw your morgan tries episode might I recommend making Navajo Coffee?
The best
Cinnamon sold in the USA is Cassia. Thick, one layer very hard bark. It is sold as cassia in Europe. True cinnamon has a thin, multilayered bark you can crush with your hands. You can find true cinnamon in the USA in some Mexican food imports stores. True cinnamon has a more delicate, smoother flavor. I like it a lot better to cassia, that is sold as cinnamon everywhere in the USA.
Your apron is stunning! Where could we get it?
