Hey Morgan, it'd be pretty cool if you could make like a "Best Syrups" type of video, where you show your preferred syrups for different types of coffee.
Not gonna lie, I could listen to Morgan's commentary as a podcast, I absolutely love how she points out the mistakes in it and goes along with everything
A fun method you can do for just lavendar syrup (as vanilla will turn the syrup brown). Is to mix in some butterfly pea flower and a few drops of lemon or lime juice. And you will have a deep purple/blue syrup. Great in a London Fog, or lighter flavored coffees.
Lavender is one if my favorite baking herbs. I make scones and biscotti most, but it's good in cheesecake too. I also infuse it with gin. Lavender is so fun to cook with.
James has better hair but Morgan has better HAIR. I prefer James’ even though Morgan’s is better and overall Morgan has had amazing hair longer. Can’t really compare them to be honest.
this is a really helpful recipe, I'm vegan. so I'm going to edit this recipe slightly and use homemade dandelion honey, with elderflower instead of lavender as that's what I have in my garden at the moment. I'm so excited to make this
I love the addition of the recipe in the description. It helps out the audience making it less tedious to save and follow the recipe, along with how she makes it easy to follow along in the video. We love you Morgan :D
Hi! I was wondering if you could review the nanopresso or the minipresso, I really want a cheaper option for espresso but I'm not sure if it is a good buy. I know James already reviewed it but I think it would be so interesting to see your point of view on it and if it really compares to real espresso. Love your videos!
I feel like you read my mind, I was just thinking about how I'd love to try making some kind of lavender syrup for making iced coffee drinks this summer - and I also just bought some vanilla bean paste.. meant to be! :) thanks for another great video (and I just have to say your voiceover skills are very impressive)
I think it's just in the air. Just made a lemon zest simple syrup to make some lemonade, and I tossed in a little bit of lavender. Of course, mine has FAR less lavender as I just want it to accentuate some of the floral notes in lemon, but... yeah. After this video I added a little "boop" of vanilla paste and now... I'm going to have to reserve a little to drizzle on angel food cake with some berries.
do you have any advice for avoiding crystallization? i use corn syrup and lemon/lime juice but the amount i have to use seems to affect the flavour too much so i'm on the lookout for new ideas.
Containment Device - I foresee a SCP (Secure, Contain, Protect) episode of an anomalous honey lavender syrup wrecking havoc on some portion of humanity!
Hey Morgan, great video! FYI some types of lavender are not actually edible and will make food taste like soap. Make sure you get culinary grade lavender (usually L. Angustifolia) so your coffee will always taste great.
i've been using lavender extract to make straight lavender syrup for a while but this just looks like the next level. thank you for this video, i'll definitely have to give it a try. coming in i was worried that the ingredients didn't include anything to stop the crystallization process but the recipe makes such a small amount of syrup i feel like it will probably get used up before it can crystallize. it will not surprise me if i come back here in a while to drop a larger batch recipe which includes stabilizing ingredients like corn syrup and vitamin C.
The syrup sound yummy and love your summer look. Would love to see a video on making cold brew at home and the types of coffee that are best for this. Love your channel.
Could I also use agave for a simular effect? I absolutely dispise the flavour and smell of honey, but for the rest it sounds fun and I have the other ingredients
Love this video, and the kitties!! As for the syrup, my favorite way to use lavender syrup is in teas. Add ice and lemon, and it's a very fun take on a summer classic 🥰
I am curious. Is there a reason I never see anyone mix the syrup and the espresso before? which coolks the esspresso, lightens the syrup to mix into the mass ice+oatmilk?
I started to make coffee in a french press recently, I'm new to this coffee culture. Whenever I make it there is some sediment at the bottom which makes the taste of the bottom of the cup taste bad. Can anyone help me with this?
That happens with almost all french presses (if not all). This happens because the mesh is often not fine enough to filter out all the tiny pieces, just like with tea how there are sometimes little tea leaf pieces left at the bottom of the cup. You can find numerous methods online of how to add and extra layer or make the mesh finer, so I would recommend browsing online for any kind of help. Good luck :)
Non turtle neck is fine, but turtleneck usually looks better imo (though can 100% understand with that heat, tommorow the temps here are going to jump by 10 C (18F) and I'm not looking forward to leaving my fleece again lol)
I just made this (it's currently steeping on the stove top until I strain it) and my house smells wonderful. Morning Honey Lavender Latte here I come! Can I ask where you buy your syrup dispensing bottles from? They're the perfect size and I love them. I adore you! Thank you for all the wonderful content you put out -- you've really encouraged me to step up my coffee game and I'm loving every minute of it. :)
New fan here. Just discovered your videos yesterday. Watched several today. They're a great blend of enjoyable, informative, and entertaining. Thank you Morgan; you have a new subscriber now!
Just so ya know, Urban Outfitters is selling a jumpsuit that looks identical to your apron (I have it lol)!!! So if you like that vibe you will probably love wearing for things other than cooking too !
Absolutely love how half the video is her wiping her spills and in the end she just grabs the whole lot of the drinks and GOES ah the server/waiter experience of carrying as many cups as your silly little hands can carry
I just made this for my brunch coffee, and it is delightful. What a treat. I tried a lavender latte for the first time this past weekend, and this recipe is almost the exact same. Delicious. Thank you, Morgan!
So...I'm inspired to try making different syrup flavors now. My better half is more of a lavender fan than I am, so after I make this, I'm going to experiment! Thank you!
i just bought myself a sodastream, and the last drink is very tempting to do. I am a big fan of Cream Soda, like, crush cream soda, but we were not able to find the cream soda imitation syrup at walmart (i know it exist)... but if i can just add half and half to fizzy water to make it like a creamsoda sort-of, i'm sold lol
When i saw the funnel i got scared that we wouldn't see @MorganSpillsCoffee today, but you never dissapoint 😍😍😍
That outfit is FRESH. It feels like you just came back for season two of a show and have a new outfit to show character development.
Hey Morgan, it'd be pretty cool if you could make like a "Best Syrups" type of video, where you show your preferred syrups for different types of coffee.
I second this!
I third this!
Great idea!
I would love to see this!
yes please !!!
UA-cam commenters are so weird. It's an apron. It's supposed to look like shit so that your normal clothes don't
It's almost better if its a half broken mess, then it weighs less.
It's like carpenters clothes etc, no one need them to be model worthy.
Yep
agree!
I always assumed you didn't have pets since you wear black all the time! I would like to request more kitty cameos in future videos please. :D
Will do!
I'm going to fill my cup up with glass and there's nothing you can do about it
Oh no, what have I done...
Not gonna lie, I could listen to Morgan's commentary as a podcast, I absolutely love how she points out the mistakes in it and goes along with everything
Personality. It's what makes a great UA-camr great. Morgan is a delight.
I love that kitchen of your's, kitchen tour please...
I may do a coffee bar/kitchen tour soon if people are interested!
I’m definitely down for a tour!
the worst thing about being Australian and seeing all the nice summer drinks while we go into winter :((
Vanilla syrup is wonderful in chai tea. It's my favorite winter treat. And by treat, I drink it almost daily.
Just gonna say, first video I've seen from Morgan and I'm already pleased with the dramatic entrance
Thank you, thank you, the slide-in was especially good this week
The "fill your cup up with glass" made me laugh absolutely more than it should have.
A fun method you can do for just lavendar syrup (as vanilla will turn the syrup brown). Is to mix in some butterfly pea flower and a few drops of lemon or lime juice. And you will have a deep purple/blue syrup. Great in a London Fog, or lighter flavored coffees.
Those glasses are beautiful! I love your videos🤍🤍🤍
Lavender is one if my favorite baking herbs. I make scones and biscotti most, but it's good in cheesecake too. I also infuse it with gin. Lavender is so fun to cook with.
those all sound delicious 😋
Really torn as to who has better hair, Morgan or James Hoffman.
James has better hair but Morgan has better HAIR. I prefer James’ even though Morgan’s is better and overall Morgan has had amazing hair longer. Can’t really compare them to be honest.
Both!
Really torn as to whom I have the bigger crush on, tbh.
I shall call it 'The Coffee Quiff'
Morgan. James has something really nice looking in his head, but I'm not sure hair is the correct weird for it.
Indeed looking great, confident and professional! The drinks looks amazing too
Why I’m first, meanwhile I was searching for syrup DIY
Me personally,i just drink basic filtered coffee but man, i love your videos.
Might try with syrups someday,hopefully.
for anyone looking for another great use for lavender: lavender sable cookies are amazing!!!
That sounds interesting. Is there a recipe online that you use?
@@SydneyB i dont have a particular recipe online that i use, i haven't made them in a long time sadly, they're more of a nostalgia thing for me
I adore lavender in my coffee. Even adding it to regular coffee drinks takes them a notch up. Also.... Kitties 🤗😍
this is a really helpful recipe, I'm vegan. so I'm going to edit this recipe slightly and use homemade dandelion honey, with elderflower instead of lavender as that's what I have in my garden at the moment. I'm so excited to make this
have you gotten around to doing so? I would very much like to know how it turned out!
I had to watch the video #1: because it's Morgan and #2: I was intrigued by the honey vanilla lavander syrup 😳😳
“Fill your cup with glass” lolololol 🤣
I love the addition of the recipe in the description. It helps out the audience making it less tedious to save and follow the recipe, along with how she makes it easy to follow along in the video. We love you Morgan :D
I honestly love when morgan fumbles over her words 🤣 also. KITTIES!!! 🥰

The new look should stay for the ✨SUMMER SERIES✨
Speaking of ice cream, how about using the syrup as an ingredient or topper? A vanilla lavender float would be nice.
The next frog conversantly stitch because carbon mostly smoke aboard a loutish printer. direful, doubtful bird
If you use a coffee grinder and grind the lavender with some sugar, little by little, you'll release more of the essential oils into the sugar.
Just add less milk and you won’t spill. Silly ^_^ haha
She’s so pretty
my favorite local coffee shop has lavender lattes and now im craving one ;-;
The coffee shop I went to had lavender but they closed and no one else around here has any.

Just finished making this syrup and it tastes SO GOOD! I’m really excited to give it a try in an iced latte!
I work at Amazon. I see the Anthony's brand a lot and it's great because it makes the pods smell so nice when they show up at my station.
I had a honey lavender latte at a local deli and it was DEVINE!!!!! Glad you shared this!
Your voice..😌😌 it is soo relaxing and comforting. Plus, your personality too. Best combo!
Help, why did 'Don't drink glass' make me laugh so much?
I've started making my own syrup at home for my cold brews! I'm hype to try this one out!
Oh man, what syrups do you make?
@@cimoirine at the moment I only have Vanilla but I love to make a cinnamon brown sugar and a mint simple syrup.
@@sleepykotori8541 have you seen her cinnamon roll vid or the butterbeer one? Those are both great! I've done the butterbeer several times

Maisie is adorable, love how she comes to inspect the new litter. 😊
This would also be great with orange blossom instead of lavender. Thanks for the recipe 😁 Oh, and I love that honey! It has a smooth floral flavor
Saw thumbnail "Why is Morgna modeling with a bottle?" Is she trying to sell something?
Watched video. Oh, it's just a wardrobe change, great!
Could you experiment with sugar free syrups? Maybe taste test a few on the market, possibly make your own..?
That looks so tasty! We'll definitely make it sometime.

The syrup sound yummy and love your summer look. Would love to see a video on making cold brew at home and the types of coffee that are best for this. Love your channel.
Do u ever eat anything besides drinking coffee Morgan.
sometimes
Could I also use agave for a simular effect? I absolutely dispise the flavour and smell of honey, but for the rest it sounds fun and I have the other ingredients
You could use any sugar to make the base syrup, the texture just may end up a bit different :)
You're voice sounds so similar to that of diane from bojack horseman

How watery or thick is this supposed to turn out? I’m having trouble telling by the video
Love your videos but the fact your cats walk on your counters makes me gag. Point made by showing them walk in their toilet with those same paws.
i found you on tiktok and omg this recipe was amazing, i’m hooked! love your content
It seems your old apron and your turtleneck disliked the video lol
(2 dislikes as of posting comment)
Dissolve the syrup before u fill our cup all the way, also I can cook items down with a cold bath
Matcha latte with the lavender syrup is delicious!
If I could afford prettylitter id get it but GOD thats expensive
"For all you non-coffee drinkers out there"
... watching a channel called...
The viewership for this channel is around 60 percent coffee, 40 percent vibes.
This seems like a lot of lavender to use. Most syrup recipes only use a tablespoon or two
I want lavender milk tea now.
Hmm, could you just add this syrup to hot milk and make honey vanilla lavender milk tea? That sounds good.

James Hoffman has videos on how to best use a french press and I believe he addresses the issue of sediment at the bottom.
Push it down slooowly, going fast allows things to slip past the filter!
I LOVE your cat's names they're so cute
*hmmm yesss drinks glass*
Could I take out the honey? Or replace it?
Lavender is bad for cats, just sayin!
Btw I really like your hair style. LOL.
cats don't like herbs like lavander
That small bowl with corgi butt ❤️😍

Next step? Vanilla Lavender Meade.
Approximately how much does this make, @MorganDrinksCoffee?
Omg you’re that hot barista on tiktok

1. Take note of the drip
2. Understand the drip
3. Start off with the ingredients
4. Gather the tools
5. Make the coffee
6. Enjoy the coffee
