What I learnt:
- Only asmaa' have 'al'
- Mubtada is subject, coming from bada2a
- Due to i'3rab, the Allah ends with a kasra (hurooful jar)
- After Allah, is rabb, which is an adj. An adj holds same case ending as what it describes, giving it a kasra also
- Due to being the mudaaf ilayh, 3ālameen is given a kasra
- To give a plural eg, 3ālamun a kasra, change it to 3ālameen

In madhab Maliki the basmala is not considered a verse, just as all the other suras in which the basmala is not a verse. If you open up a Quran in warsh you will see that the basmala is not an verse. And allah knows best
