Just set game ports or "service port" to highest priority and set port 80 and port 443 to lowest your router will do the rest. If you are using bandwidth percentages use 67% for highest and 33% for normal. I would avoid settings for "medium" priority I think this just makes your router not sure of what it's doing. Hope this helps please give me a like if it does.

Hey John, I had problems with my router from my provider for a long time. It has no features like QoS and Port Forwarding does not work even when set up correctly. Now I always wanted to buy a gaming router and this one would be perfect for my needs (gaming on PS4), but my dad runs a small business so he needs the telephone that is connected to our router. I did some research and found out that this router does not support Voice over IP (i think thats what it is called). So with this router we would not be able to connect a phone to that router. Do you know a workaround or do you know other cheap netgear routers that do support a telephone connected to it? Thanks in advance and keep putting out the great content ;)

FYI, The QoS for this router is terrible only allowing for uplink bandwidth so the buffer bloat stays at F on DSLReports and spike delays become unbearable at times. I've had this router for quite a few years and it wasn't bad at first and held its own when we had a better internet package. Now that we've downgraded and this router is old AF it's starting to drop connection and I disabled the QoS completely but that still doesn't help a dying router. I'm looking at the IQRv2 because it's designed to minimize buffer bloat and continues to improve your settings over time. ✌🏼️

it really depends on how good of quality your stream is. 50mbps would still be fine. I would say no lower than 20mbps 20-50mbps is the sweet for me because that way I can cut my bandwidth in half using QOS, and still have enough bandwidth to stream a 10mbps 1080p stream, play games, and whatever else

For example, the two best router and modem you recommend are not allowed on Spectrum's/ Time Warner Cable service. I'm assuming there are 3-5 major areas (ie west coast, East coast, Midwest, and etc) where different companies have a classic stronghold on the internet services provided. May I suggest a video or two on, the best router or modem for (insert major company/ area)

I would switch out the 2in1 you have for a separate modem and router. As for best isp that doesn't really exist I don't think, it's more about location. As long as it's cable or fiber you're fine

i am getting 11.7 mbps download and 4.84 mbps upload speed and thats with ethernet connected to wifi extender. how do i get faster connection?

RTK2003126 you need 6mbps upload to have a smooth gaming experience. 10 mbps upload for 1080p streaming. Hope this helps.

OGistayhiPS3 they can blacklist modems but not routers. Just get a compatible modem and you can plug whichever router you want into it
