Did you transfer your credits? How did you do that?
I study pharmacy and study is a 6 years study. I study by credit hours system. I want to apply for the Global Ugrad program as I see it will be so useful for me to benefit from academic life in the US. Meanwhile, I don't want to make my degree one year more in my home institution.
How can I transfer my credits after finishing the semester in the US?
Hi Osama, no, I did not transfer my credits simply because I didn't want to.
Credits transfer mainly depends on your home university, as the requirements differ - eg. for me, my university required 70% similarity in syllabus in order to be approved for credit transfer. So, compare the syllabus of the US vs home universities and bring it to your faculty office to ask.

You have been a great help to me since the day I started my application. I wanted to ask you if it's okay to continue my undergrad course virtually in my home country's university if the university administration of my country permits me to do so. I could manage time for my studies for both U.S. course and the course of my undergrad program. Will there be any ethical consequences and inconveniences if me and my university administration is ready to do so?
Hi there, I don't think studying concurrently in two universities would be an issue...although it doesn't sound like a good idea, considering you wouldn't have the time to fully experience time abroad. It's all up to you in the end anyway, good luck! :)

Hi Munisa! Unfortunately, I don't think that's possible since one of the criterias is being a full-time undergraduate student studying in home country. I talked about it here : ua-cam.com/video/VsnKuEBPg2E/v-deo.html (1:24) :)

Hi Ahmad! Sure, I will answer the questions to the best I can.
1) If you've watched my videos, you'd know that I've been a Global UGRAD scholar :P So yes, I went under this scholarship in 2017.

Hi Fatma! I've replied to your question in my other video. There's no written rule of the maximum number of courses you can take, but logically, you can't take too many due to time constraint.

Hello! It would be a medical history & full body checkup. The forms will be provided by World Learning to selected participants.

Hi Amina, the transcripts must be translated into English and certified by your university.

Hi Anita! Yes, that's the TOEFL iBT. But if you already have another type of TOEFL, you can use it too.
Do we have to print out all the online application and bring it to the interview later?
@@anitaangelina8260 no, unless your local U.S. Embassy request for it. I believe the interviewers will have their copies through the online application portal.

To answer your questions briefly,
1) It's an all-expenses-paid scholarship.
2) The universities which are partners with World Learning. And yes, it's selected for you by World Learning (not the embassy).

Hi Manel! There's 2 batches - fall and spring. So your departure depends on respective batch - Aug-ish for fall; Jan-ish for spring.

Hi Naomi. Coud i ask something? I'm going to apply for the global ugrad but the application form requires last family name but i don't have last family name (my parents didn't put last family name on my birth certificate). Will it be alright if i just put my dad's name on the application form?

Hi Aya! The status on the online application should indicate your submission. I thought I've submitted because I completed my application, but didn't actually click "Submit". The platform was different back in 2015.

Hi Ber To, no it will not. The TOEFL is only required if you're selected. I only took the test after selection.

If I get selected for UGRAD , will I have to face semester/year drop in my current university ?
Hi Blunter's World, it makes sense if you have to defer one semester and extend your studies by one semester. Unless you want to do credit transfer by taking the same subjects in the US as the ones in your home university, then you wouldn't have to extend it. Do consult with your faculty adviser on credit transfer, as it differs by university.

Hi there, I don't have such information at hand, but I did a quick Google and the U.S. Department of State website states 4 Jan 2021 to be the application date.

Hi Luu Ly Tran, yes it is mandatory to have an English test certification, but not at the application stage. You may take the test (TOEFL/IELTS) once you've successfully obtained the scholarship - the test will be paid for.

Hi Tasnem, to answer your questions:
1) Transcripts should be from your university, and to be uploaded onto the online application under "Documents Upload". Yes, it has to be a certified transcript. You should upload all the transcripts available first. If you have additional after the application period, you could send to World Learning via email (if they request for it).
2) You should apply based on the country you are currently in.

Hi, I'm not too sure on this. Perhaps you can reach out to your local U.S. Embassy to advise on this? Maybe you can take a screenshot of your academic progress so far. Do check with the advisor.
Naomi Ng thanks again, is it mandatory to translate my recommendation letter in english? Because I asked them nd theyvtold me that a transaltion isn't necessary at this time. Another thing if you don't mind, Does it have to be handwritten or typed on pc and then printed?
@@senhajisaad3168 I would advise for you to have your recommendation letters translated to English as you have to do it eventually anyway. I don't think it matters whether it is handwritten/printed (you might not have the writer's signature if you were to retype a handwritten letter). Just scan it and upload online.

Hi Erkinai! I wouldn't say so. You don't need to write about so many activities where you were a leader. Maybe just one or two - elaborate on it. Perhaps even as leader in group class projects...or if you're the eldest your family...etc. Try to think out of the box :)

Yes! I believe the essays are the most important part in the selection/filtration process because it differentiates an application from another.
No, I do not know exactly how many people apply to UGRAD, but I'm sure it's quite a number. The number of applicants selected differs by country.

Hello Giorgi! You're not late at all! I talk a bit about the essays in this video and also a livestream on my channel. Your descriptions doesn't have to be lengthy as long as it's power-packed - wordy doesn't mean great.

Hi, I believe the limit is 3000 characters. So just make sure you stay within it. Do as you like :)
Naomi Ng i wanna ask you another thing about the recommendation letter,one my teachers wrote me a recommendation letter but i think shE forgot to mention her phone and address,do u think that its necessary to ask her about it?i mean since u got accepted did ur teacher or professor provided all the info?and thanks:)
@@nawali26 Yes, I think it is necessary for contact info to be available on the recommendation letter. Although it may be a rare occasion, those looking through your application (or in other cases, employers of a job you'd apply to in the future) may want to contact the person who wrote your recommendation letter. And yes, my lecturer and former employer provided all the details. Just ask your teacher, shouldn't be a problem :)

@@mahamatmoubarak7285 Official transcripts are the results for your exams at the university (you may have several, depending on which quarter/semester/term you're in). If you have done your TOEFL test and it is still valid, I think you can also upload it. TOEFL test is not required upon application.

Academic: written by a professor/lecturer/teacher to vouch for/say good things about your academics & how you are in class.
Personal: can be written by teachers/employers/supervisors...basically anyone you've worked/volunteered with to write about your involvement in whichever activities.
*recommendation letters should not come from family & friends.
**you can have 2 professors write them for you, respectively. Both letters should not be from the same person.

Hello there, I want to ask you a question about the recommendation letters. What if one of my recommendation letters wasn’t signed by my lecturer, is it okay ? :’) T.T
If you've submitted, I guess it's fine. But just a general rule, all letters should be signed to prove its validity :)
While going through the application, the questions asked in the second essay remain same or they keep changing them??
