You are the first person I have seen actually get it right. Your alignment was perfect. Great job, thanks for sharing all this wonderful information. May God bless you and your family.
Absolutely well done. Clear and concise and exactly what I needed, this will help me with cutting 36“ high letters on my 28 “ Y cutting area on my Shapeoko. Thank you for this fantastic tutorial.
Thank you Rob for an excellent presentation. The video was very thorough and organized. I hope you present more of these type of videos using the Laguna IQ and AutoRich controller.
I know you have a mind that runs at 100MPH. For those of us learning new things ( I have had my CNC for four years) PLEASE slow down just a little so we can catch it all. You have been through this many times. Great Video Still !!!! cleared up some things for me. Thanks.!!
This is a really good video. However, I am new, and was searching for a tutorial on this subject...you are so darned fast in your teaching, I couldn't follow. I didn't know about guidelines, so stopped your video, went out to another youtube page and looked it up...found someone to show me how to set guidelines. Fine so far...then every step was as if you never took a breath and went so fast, I finally decided you are attempting to teach folks who are definitely old hands at the CNC process. Guess I will watch it several times, but in the meantime I will see if someone else out there can teach it slower for me.
Hi Mr.P, We try to thoroughly breakdown our project videos so that they are easier to understand and follow along, regardless of experience level. You can slow down the video speed in the UA-cam video settings to make it easier to tag along! Thank you for your feedback, we will take this into account for the future.
@39:22 aura mask? what is an aura mask? how does it help with the painting of sign? thanks for a great tutorial video. Tiling can be a real pain, and fences that aren't quite aligned, been there before! Good solution to have the alignment holes cut from the get go.
Safe to say this old time woodworker/woodturner will never move into CNC, way too far over my head not to mention an ever changing very expensive technology.
You may be right but never say never. I am a pretty old guy myself. Just started into CNC in 2018 and got hooked. It gives me lots of freedom create things I never thought I would be able to.
Absolutely well done. Clear and concise and exactly what I needed, this will help me with cutting 36“ high letters on my 28 “ Y cutting area on my Shapeoko. Thank you for this fantastic tutorial.

Would you make any changes to the alignment or fence or anything else if you were making a profile cutout around the entire board?

Thanks… informative video.
Thanks please keep the videos coming may be some inlays projects
Would be awesome
We'll definitely be doing more inlay videos! Glad you're enjoying them.
What was the purpose of the foam at about 38:00 in the video? Is that just in case the bit falls out of the collet during installation?
Great video! really helped make the tiling process clear for me. Curious what tool you used to cut the tabs, looks handy!
Glad to know this helped you out!

Awesome video and very useful. What was the masking you used on this?
Hi Dave,
Vinyl Transfer Tape was the masking used on this, great hack for cleaner results!
Is the " crv " file available for the Laguna spoilboard?
Forgot to give you the UA-cam link to make it easier. ua-cam.com/video/hXnuakpMz4c/v-deo.html

There was really no point in going to all that tiling effort if you are just going to tile across open space…
