It seems all the Gaylord hotels are quite amazing. The one here in Grapevine Texas is pretty cool and has the exact same glass roof but nothing awesome like this
Omg I’ve been there. That place is massive, they really did a great job on this place! Plus it’s only like a mile down the road from Disney and Universal!
Been to the Gaylord Opreyland in Nashville and it's like this too! Another amazing hotel with an amazing oasis! My question/thought is, why is this wasted in the south, which is already blessed with warm weather! These warm indoor oasis-es need to be in the north, where people can actually appreciate this.
Yeah reminded me of Opryland went there a few years ago too. Not sure if this was an early morning visit but looked like an abandoned episode. Place that size needs a LOT of foot-traffic to keep viable.
I work there during the winter ,thousands of people go there to get away from ugly winter , thay start coming in by Thanksgiving and leave after new years , and return by spring break.
That is really cool. Are you familiar with the old Kapok Tree Inn/restaurant in Clearwater? Your video brought that place to mind. My understanding is that it is now a music store, but still retains a lot of the extravagance from the restaurant's glory days.
So far I have explored between Key West and West Palm Beach and am in love with Florida based on that area. I really want to see this hotel now and to see Orlando. On my next trip to Florida (and if I move there), I am coming here. So beautiful and unique! I learned about Flamingo Gardens from this channel too...
Cool- I should go check this place out. I moved to Orlando recently. One thing I've enjoyed doing is exploring off the beaten path places that stand it stark contrast to what I call the "Orlando Machine" (urban sprawl). One sight being seen less and less are derelict orange groves or empty fields. There's one huge patch of land to the Northwest of Disney World in Lake County (5 Mile Rd runs right through it) that used to be all orange groves, but the 1980's freezes and recent diseases has wiped them out. It's kind of odd and eerily quiet considering it's surrounded by the Orlando sprawl- but really beautiful rolling hills and you can still find remnants of some of the citrus groves. Unfortunately it will probably be developed soon...
That was super cool, I would love to stay there! Morning walks would be so peaceful, as would evening walks with the lighting. Thanks for sharing this place, I didn't know about it.
Florida was home for most of my life and you are making me homesick. :-) In a way I wish I could go back but that is not to be. Thanks for the memories.
@@MobileInstinct2 I lived in south Florida most of my life but the last 10 years I've been in Milwaukee. I never thought I would say it but I really miss Florida. Enjoy your time there.
Hi, that really was an awesome hotel, a lot of thought and designing went into that place and it was all built under cover which is pretty cool. Thank you for sharing. x
Hi, Chris, my guess is that the boat is also hotel, if you look down towards the water line, too low to be cannon ports, there are port holes, probable as window for hotel bedrooms for the ultimate nautical experience. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
Never been to the Gaylord in Florida but the one in Tn is pretty nice as well, in your travels, check them out. Great videos by the way, found you and going through them now. What camera do you use to shoot your videos?
Kewl! Did you venture into the Key West area? I wasn't sure, though I wondered how authentic that area of the hotel was. Bet they don't have any of Hemingway's 6-toed cat's descendants! Interesting place, but it's probably horrendously expensive (the upkeep must be enormous). Thanks, Chris.
Great place! We’ve been several times. You should see it during Christmas! Thanks for sharing! Recently came across your channel & really enjoying watching your travels. Have a great day! 👍😀🤪🌈🌈
Spring Hill? Isn't that where the old monkey sanctuary was? I looked into it but heard most of it has been torn down. I think it was 300 and change? Not sure though
Haha If I was going to still be here, absolutely! Unfortunately, I'm going to be out of Florida pretty soon and moving westward. That travel itch is very real with me!
I didn't get a chance but my plan is to come back and stay next winter. I agree, you need a few days just to experience all the restaurants and scenery
I had to share this awesome hotel with all of you!
I'm packing my bags 😉
Thanks Chris I loved this tour excellent job very relaxing to watch. Helps give me ideas for future vacation spots. Cheers!

I sure HOPE they comp'd you a room for this promotional Quality video tour !
Nice❤
I work in Orlando ! I work in the theme park industry! Gaylord is pretty cool, especially during the Christmas season! Enjoy!
Omg I’ve been there. That place is massive, they really did a great job on this place! Plus it’s only like a mile down the road from Disney and Universal!
This is the craziest and biggest indoor style hotel I've seen. It felt like what the Bellagio or great mall of America is like

I live an hour from there I had no idea how cool that was inside that building
I've never wanted to go to Florida before today. This is amazing!
What a cool place! Thanks for the tour.
You should check out Opryland Hotel in Nashville tn . It has a huge atrium like that.
This is really cool man. I never think they'd have things like this. A whole ass boat in a hotel is god like.
I’ve been there! This is awesome!

I used to wait tables at the Kapok great place but very expensive. Lived in a condo there.
@@williamsmoore2566 Interesting. I ate there when I was a kid in the 70's. It was such an interesting place! Felt like I was in a different country.
Wow I've never heard of it. Looks pretty cool inside!

That is one awesome hotel. Unbelievable what they managed to build in there and it looks like it is quite impressively done as well. Great find!
I can only imagine the cost to build it but I'm sure it does very well too.

I really enjoyed this tour! I had no idea this was here and I've been to Orlando so many times. What a hidden gem.
Thank you so much for taking us on your tours.
Extremely cool place.
The Castle is a recreation of the old military fort in St. Augustine. Gaylord is now on my list of visits. Thanks!
That was super cool, I would love to stay there! Morning walks would be so peaceful, as would evening walks with the lighting. Thanks for sharing this place, I didn't know about it.

Looks like a lovely place. Saw a lot of stairs. Both my wife and I are in wheelchairs, is it fully handicap accessible?
What a beautiful place. It must have been huge. I enjoyed your tour of this very interesting resort. Thanks.
