- Dogs can be distracted by all sorts of things! Teaching your dog a leave, or to leave it, can be very useful when you need to ask them not to pick something up that they shouldn't have.

These short, simple video's are life savers, they work! Thank you
This video has been the most helpful for me and my pup! Awesome tips and straight to the point, thank you!!
Thank you for a great training video! "Yes" to force-free training! Hooray!
Our problem is that our dog is a big scavenger and she often has something in her mouth before we can say leave. We want her to drop it and quite often she won't. We say leave and occasionally she will but often she will just carry on eating it.

Can you do this without the food reward? Like a ball
What are you supposed to do when your pup starts to dig to get at the treats, and rips your hand to shreds in the process?
gloves mate
You could also start with the treat in a fist and then move it under your shoe on the floor, instead of your hand
Hello
from how many months can you start teaching them this ?
My GSP is 12 weeks old and we've started this - he seems to be getting it!
@@evalooda Cool ! Mine is 8 weeks, I started doing this. He seems to understand not to go to the food on the ground but is now obsessed with my other hand ;) Gonna watch the video again to do it in the exact same way, but yeah it seems to be a good way to teach this.
@@MiesHeerma did you manage it?
@@timeismoney9684 Yeah my dog is pretty good at it, he can be sneaky though things do disappear when I am not watching ;)
What if all food is a high reward? 🤦🏼♀️ She goes crazy over any dog food or treat.
