Starminer is a new upcoming game from Cool And Good Games, published by Paradox Arc, that sees you take your seat as an interstellar contractor. Starting with a singular small node ship, you must gather resources from nearby asteroid fields and grow your ship and your fleet.
Whether your goal is to mine resources for profit, become a defensive powerhouse, promote colonization, or something else entirely, must beware. The alien threat is very real, and they'll track your heat signature the more you expand! Keep flying, keep safe, keep cool.

Thank you Paradox Interactive for another game where I'll find myself playing 100+ hours without the slightest idea what I'm doing.
1000*
Don't forget how you will spend $300 for all the dlc too
This is just a starfield rip-off, both games suck
@@ruviknoproblem ?? Tf
@@Rogue_Tiger lol the game barely came out and its already being called a rip off lmao
Love how space games are making a comeback
fr I've been looking for good space games lately
Medieval times, fantasy, WW2, and contemporary eras have been exhausted. Ancient ages are being explored but they're only a trend. The only eras interesting enough are therefore:
- Future space age
- Victorian Era
- Colonial Era 17th - 18th century
- Cold War (1946 - 1991).
I'll take anything over yet another WW2 game
One might be able to get some mileage out of an Alice and Wonderland kind of a setting. Complete surrealism. Another genre that seems to be currently completely un-tapped is the scifi-sword-and-sorcery genre. I mean like the Princess of Mars, Flash Gordon, Glory Road, Xanth, Spellsinger, Discworld, Ringworld. Stick to the tropes common to that genre -- and for a lot of the younger generation; they've probably seen absolutely nothing like it.
@@gilian2587 those are some really good ones that didn't even occur to me. But I like it.
Someone at Paradox looked at the ancient mining drones in Stellaris and thought, "We could make a game out of this."
I must admit, I am intrigued.
it's a missed opportunity not to label it as a Stellaris spin off
Someone at paradox saw deltav rings of saturn and decided to try and dip into that money.
So everyone just gonna throw Space Engineers under the bus and pretend that didn't inspire nothin?
@@sztypettto Yes because space engineer is a bad game with a building system that is wayyy too clunky to be enjoyable.
@@Houtblokje you just described market gap in another way.
"You'll first have to embrace the solitude"
Gamers have been training our whole lives for this.
Now THIS is the space mining game I’ve been looking for
From the video it wasn't clear to me how it is different from other space mining games. There are so many. What was it that convinced you already?
@@unvergebeneid pretty graphics. Mine build you ship bigger, once you hit a certain point the bad guys will show up. Rinse and repeat. Hope I am wrong tho
@@unvergebeneid The money in his bank account.
@@tommeegunn9318 and that is what Starfield looks like
then check out avorion
Can't wait for stellaris without genocide
What's life without inflicting a 100 year long indiscriminate orbital bombardment on some poor schlub?
we are playing the worker instead of the leader
We will find a way
It makes no sense....
It's like saying Omelette without eggs
What genocide ? Can't remember any 🤔
I've been following this one for over 2 years. Very cool to see that the team at Cool And Good Games has teamed up with Paradox! 😻
Yeah. Paradox...Really looking forward to an empty game with 5827 DLCs for hundreds of Dollars -😑
Hopefully Paradox stays as just the publisher, I like dlc but I hate the 5 to 10 dollars for every little bit of extra content
@brian-_- sounds like they will, its not technically published by paradox interactice but one of their subsideries paradox arc, which is designed to support indie games, and from their other games it doesnt seem to follow the insane dlc process
This one used to be called Ill Space right?
@@Silverwolfe3198 Yes
Paradox Interactive really has a sifi fetish at the moment. Love it!
Even Age of Wonders just dropped a Tech themed DLC, lol
It's"sci-fi"....not "siffy"!
@@hcrun "shifu"
@@railsloopdrown Stfu-fi? lol
@@hcrun let me live in peace with my grammar mistake 🤣
"To be able to survive up here you'll first have to embrace the solitude"
I'm decades ahead of schedule then..
That "construction complete" comes directly from red alert
Okay, now this looks like a game! actually excited
It seems you try here to imagine future that could happen in like next 50-100 years and provide test of concept for players. Good job.
I don't want to know, just take my money.
AT LAST, a space mining game where mining is the core mechanic...
That voice with that filter scratches some specific parts of my brain really good.
It's like the perfect space Comms voice
Starfield style logos must be a catching trend.
As for the game it looks pretty cool actually, going to have to keep an eye on it.
Logo thing kind makes sense in that space feels modern and very unknown.
A modern minimalist font with implied lines just makes sense imo.
@@vincentbrancato5146
I'm not saying anything against the logo style, its just undeniably similar to Starfield.
I feel the Interstellar film did that style of font first when it comes to mainstream media, unless I am remembering it wrong
Very looking forward to this!
Love the starfield looking title. Kinda makes it feel like an April fools joke, but it looks good!
PARADOX. THERE'S NO FIRE IN SPACE. THE GIANT SPACE FLAMETHROWERS CAN NOT EXIST.
Would be awesome if Starminer plays in the same universe as Stellaris
everyone gangsta until fallen empire sillyships arrive to your starbase
Fully grown Bubble would be the final boss
"Feeding ground reach, prey bountiful"
BANGING ON A TRASHCAN!
This looks freaking amazing, wishlisted right away! Also Cool and Good Games is the best name for a gaming studio i've ever heard lmao
At last if EVE online mining was a full game what a dream.!
Wishlisted. Hope there is an actual release date soon :D
This is sort of looking like the mining "Eve Offline" I've been hoping for... I'm definitely cautiously optimistic for it.
This looks like exactly like what I would like! No multiplayer (at least not forced on you) or a persistant world (MMO).
yay looking forward to this, love a good paradox game, easily have sank the most gaming hours into their games over the years
Ooh, I really like the aesthetic here.
Looks really good, I look forward to playing it.
Выглядит потрясающе! Жду!
cant wait for the 5 DLC's that will come out after launch. Each will add things that should've been a part of the game itself. (they will all cost 20 dollars)
I don't know why, but it reminded me of my early days of EVE Online solo mining.
I’ve lost years playing your games. Love it.
Hell yeah. I have been wanting a space factory builder for a while now.
Like cosmoteer in 3d, this looks very interesting for the ship building enthusiasts
good ol Ill Space is back I see!
Starminer: A construction ship Saga
I'm such a sucker for these types of games. I'll probably buy it before I've determined if it's game loop is solid. If it's simulation focused -- automatic buy; if it's rpg focused -- it usually gets more intense scrutiny from me (and I'll usually talk myself out of it, like I did with Starfield).
Consider me interested, gonna keep an eye on it.
8 seconds in and I've already been given Homeworld 1 Garden of Kadesh vibes and I'm into it.
Can't wait for this game!
Now this looks likes something I can get into!
this is going to be awesome!!!
Can't wait to see how barebones release is! The anticipation of finding all the ways they can spoonfeed us the full game over the next 5 years is thrilling.
Can't wait to buy the rest of the game in 2 years time
Can't wait the for DLC!!
That looks pretty good! Just a bit put off by the logo being so similar to StarBound
cool, another rts, gonna give it a look.
looks interesting
This looks rad! Let us hope they don't release it early and/or fire the devs a week after the game is released to make investors happy... Again.
"Just one more asteroid...
Why do I hear birds chirping and seeing sunlight behind the curtains?"
We're really looking forward to Surviving Mars 2!
This is right up my alley.
space mining games are my favorite genre, very excited
Okay. Now this... this is a game i really want! The modulation alone sold me.
This is my kind of game. I've always wanted a mining focused 4x game
I played the demo last year when it came out as "Ill Space", conceptually it was great, but the game was buggy and controls were quite complex. I'm hoping they fixed most of that, it sucks when you're hitting keys and don't know which way is forward.
I mean it was a whole year before so they most likely overhauled the game but still keeping the concept besides gamebreaking bugs is a guarentee in early demos
This gives me some serious Sins of the Solar Empire vibes!
Can't wait for the DLC
Okay, I’m interested.
Another space game.... yes please!
This is about as close to the Bobiverse replicants as we'll get
"construction complete" oh the memories!
Can't wait for their next game, Fetch Quest.
Looks like my new year's resolution of beating my eve online addiction will be fullfilled, thanks paradox!
DUDE THIS REMINDS ME OF A BROWSER SPACE GAME I USED TO PLAY BUT I HAVE NO IDEA THE NAME OF ANYMORE
THIS is going to be great.
This looks intriguing!
Paradox has released quite a few titles I've really enjoyed, their releases always catch my attention. This one is third party though so, temper expectations.
The cinematic trailer looks cool, but I want to see some Excel spreadsheet gameplay.
It's kind of like a slower paced Everspace but also you can build stuff. Interesting.
The graphics look awesome like Fallen Frontier.
Can’t wait for the 600 dlc that will come with this game
Damnit This looks too good to pass up.
So Factorio in space, got it!
Interesting.
This reminds of a flash game I used to play years ago.
hopefully the planning and management is so high that I do this as a second job.
this is giving me shipbreaker vibes - hoping this will be in-universe for stellaris
A game where you are a Von Neumman probe gathering resources and multiplying?
The Bobiverse is here!
Jokes aside, looks awesome.
👍👍
прямо как в романах Вселенная Боба(-ов)
Looks fantastic! I'm genuinely stoked for this!!
Finally, I always wanted to play such game, don't let us wait to long
X4 Foundations is floating my space mining boat at the moment but thanks 👍
I'll keep my eye on this though 🤗
The X series are the gold standard in my book.
More space games: YES
This is perfect time for Paradox to focus on a total war game.
This looks... AWESOME!
Woah, this looks fantastic!
Most underrated space mining game ever!
I can't believe someone finally decided to make Space Engineers into a game
That looks amazing!!!
Looks like Falling Frontier or Ixion. Very much interested.
Looking forward to this game. I was a miner in EVE Online and this is exactly what I need.
Oh nice it's a lot like Astrox Imperium.
Now this looks cool
Paradox space game.. YES PLEASE!
Looks so freaking cool
So, a fancy tower defense game in space, got it.
Never wishlisted anything faster than this.
"There is no... withdrawal from the Gardens of Kadesh"
another indie game that just looks , fucking , BRILLIANT !!! thanks paradox ♥
