Fairfax, Virginia-The Fairfax Symphony Orchestra (FSO) opens its 64th concert season on October 9 at the newly constructed Capital One Hall in Tysons, VA soon to open. This is the orchestra’s first FSO season since cancelling concerts due to the pandemic in March 2020.
“There is no greater feeling than performing LIVE for our audiences,” said Christopher Zimmerman, FSO music director and conductor. “Following such a challenging time, this is a season of unity and renewal as we come together again to experience music that inspires us, invigorates us, and moves us. This season, we are excited to perform on three, Fairfax County stages…including the new Capital One Hall, to present works by established and new composers. Live music-making by its very nature changes with each encounter, and our audiences as well as our musicians play a special role in our live events. As we perform this season with such outstanding musicians-renowned and emerging, we invite audiences to join us in celebrating great, live, classical music again to create a concert experience like no other!”
