It's about creating something fun, useful or interesting. No one wants to download some pointless and boring apps on the play store. If you want to create something fun, start view app development or any form of work with genuine interest and for the fun of it rather than treating it like just another business. Remember great things are born when people have a true interest on it not just to make a living out of it.

Wow. You are the definition of an app store hustler. Great you released a lot of apps in your younger years and gained that wealth of experience. Now you are older with experience, you will now focus on making a quality product. It's better to have 1 quality app and 1 quality game that took 6-7 years to make. You will have senior dev experience with skills in software architecture. You will also build up your brand. Lastly, you will have the chance to make much more money.

Damn gains are super low… 5k for a million downloads? So to make a normal living you should have 10mil a year!
That's depend on the apps. He said it himself his apps were crappy low quality. So the retention of users were low. His apps probably can only retain a user for one day before uninstalling that equals to less ads show = less revenue.
