As funny as it sounds, your app was a HUGE inspiration for me to make mine.
I initially wanted to make a loan calculator to learn programming. Turned into a debt repayment algorithm, turned into personal finance analysis, turned into a startup. All because I saw your app ( and a bunch of others, although less successful ) and thought I could make it there too.
I am so happy to see you share your journey!
Hearing (or reading) comments like this brings a smile on my face!
damn, idk how this video is recommended by youtube but I'll be one of your O.G. subscriber once you blow-up 🎉
Same broo same
I don't know about blowing up, but yours was the first comment on this channel. Thank you! 🙂
same 🙌🏼
Me too broo

This video and the Flutter video has made me to become a subscriber. Hoping for more amazing content from you and good lucky with this amazing channel.
Some great wishes for upcoming contents..... Kudoz to the efforts you've out into this to make the first video look like so much professional.
I will try my best 🙂
Thanks for this information. I needed this so badly.
man .. this was basically a perfect video - not too long, not too short, awesome sound and image quality, handsome dude, good pacing, highly valuable information, insights in your experiences. THANKS for this video. Subbed for sure!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Congratulations on your journey man. I launched some apps that had 1 million users and I was in disbelief, cant imagine 10 mi. Would love to know more about tips on marketing and user acquisition.
Love your personality, just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for sharing. Not many developers are willing to disclose their revenue, and your openness provides valuable insights to many.
Hey Andrei amazing results, congratulations! Could you make a video on how do you advertise your app? What tools, methods do you use? As a developer this topic was always a mystery to me 😅
Maybe. But I mostly use search ads in the Google Play Store app. Nothing fancy. 😊
Definitely gained a new sub, now when you're at 1.97k subs
That's a great journey 😮🎉
Thank you Sir for sharing!
You are an inspiration!!!
I was interested in flutter, so i search and found your video about it. Your video was so neat and your space so clean and clear so,it give me the impression that you have a lot more to tell me. Than I watch your video about obsessive compulsive stuff, that in some sort of way I can relate. Now this is the 3rd. video in a row, and I think I start to wait for new vids. Anout this on your calculator, really inspired me. I am working on an App for Kids using OpenAi API.
Good stuff Andrei, this was quite inspiring.
Glad to hear it!
hey andre, just so you know, i love your content and your cinematography, and YOUR ACCENT, i will be your fan from today henceforth and we will continue to support your channel!, you deserve more than 5hundred subs, im talking MILLIONSS
Out of all things, the accent worried me the most when I started this channel. I don't know what's interesting about it, but thanks! 🙂
This is awesome, Keep it up.
Very Interesting and inspiring video man. Looking forward to a lot of Flutter Content and Monetisation tips from you for solo developers.
dude am one of the 10mil users u got .. and am also in mobile development glad found ur utube channel on its early stage =)
Thanks for the video. Nice to see that you made it!
Wanted to know how you advertised?
As someone who is trying to make apps with flutter, your story inspires me a lot. I am glad I found your videos. I support the economy of indie apps.
Great video, and thanks for sharing! Would love to hear more about out user acquisition and monetizing 🙃
🎉👏👏 that’s amazing dude! Such a good content! I also have an app, but it’s super niche. A well made calculator is yet simple, but a good idea that targets a big audience. Well done once again, looking forward for more videos 😊
It hooks users with lots of features, but they stay for the calculator. That's what I noticed.
Interesting observation, thank you for sharing! By the way regarding the iOS, check the regulations, because apparently above 1 milion downloads you need to pay to EU through Apple 50 cents per download. I don’t know if it’s for everybody or just for foreign companies. Best of luck!
After 5 years of programming I'm about to start creating my own apps and I really want hear more about your story as a solo developer. Helps a lot. thanks
After 5 years of making babies I'm about to start creating my own child and I really want hear more about your story as a solo mother. Helps a lot. thanks

Man I'm so happy I finally found the guy who made one of the first app I download on all my new devices. I've had this app on my home screen for years 😊

Hello Andrei, thank you for your success story! Your app shows great quality (Android dev opinion :) . Is there any chance to share some info about your Google Ads strategy? Do you target CPI or maybe CPA? How do you evaluate vale for CPI/CPA event?
damn ... like a BAWSE bro I am also an android developer . .Bravo Mec! Man This is crazy I am watching that video with a big smile !!! I think you can/could do more but that's nice I like the story.
Great video
It's a decent story Andrei, me personally liked to see in this channel more business and real tasks related content, it would be nice
Will see where this UA-cam thing takes me. It's still new at the moment.
this is an absolute gem
Amazing video! Can I ask what fancy ad library your job at TextFree was using to aggregate ads?
In house library that used a server to provide a waterfall list of ad providers to load ads from in a specific order based on CPM. There was no RTB (real time bidding) back then.
Bro you just got one subscriber now 🎉
O.G subscriber here ✨🤝
I like this video. And the Mobile Development journey from Native Android (with Java & Kotlin) to Cross-Platform (with Flutter).
How about an update on the app every quarter of the year 😉?
Regards from an aspiring developer.
Very inspiring story, Salut to a Romanian friend! The gist of the story: practice makes perfect.
Salut 😁
let's us know your path to building for ios app store and dealing with that world too. Good luck!
Congratulations!
Thank you!
yo bro is this real? no way this is your first video, i bet you have had some previous youtube account with your personal mail, just like quickmath, I really enjoyerd watching it, soo exicted i am going to be one of the OGs
This is not my first channel. It's actually my third, when I finally decided to switch to english. Doing YT in Romanian felt like swimming in a fishbowl near the ocean. Not many people to share these kind of things with.
It looks amazing. I wish you a good luck.
I'm a Senior Flutter Developer. So if you will ever need help, just write to me.
I love your story
Please document your journey rebuilding the app in flutter and share your mistakes and learnings
Will do!

Ads Integration to generate revenue from zero to millions. It will be a good series to start in your youtube channel 😊
New sub Bro! How much worth your app with 10 million of downloads Bro?
Well, usually an app's worth is calculated with the revenue from the past 2-3 years, so you can do the math..
Can you do a tutorial on how to setup flutter with Android studio for the new version
Well, it's just and UI change, nothing more. And I kind of dig it, it's much cleaner and intuitive with less clutter to worry about. Don't think there's much more to say about it.
is there a reason why you didn't go with React/React Native for the rebuild?
JavaScript 😊
Salut , ai ramas in Romania ? De unde esti ?
Sunt din Cluj, nu plec de aici! 😊
Hi Andrei.
Your app story is very encouraging.
I wonder to know how you became so confident to invest $10k in a calculator app? 😁
Have you used the money that you already have or you were using earnings from the app to advise it?
I have an app on play store, a simple one and I don't have downloads right now, but I'm thinking about investing $200 or so for advertising, because I can't afford more than that, so what's your advice for a good way of advertising nowadays with limited resources.
I hope you all the best.
Many thanks
I don't know how things are right now, but start small and measure the impact. Always measure what you get, and on a longer timeframe, let's say one month. When you have a good model you can scale it.
@@andreiIupsa good advice. Thanks
Hoping to see flutter tuts videos from you
🎉🎉
👍👍👍
hi i am also an android developer bro i subscribed
It's hard to get into Flutter from available resources. Would you like developing a full 30-40 hrs 0 to Practical knowledge tutorial?
nice, the quality of the video is top, and the story is interesting. But discovering the income from the app you didn't tell us the amount of money you put back in ads, and amount of time you need to support the ads, not the app. So I think, it's crucial information.
Yeah, I forgot to say it but it was on the screen. It's around 5K dollars, more or less. I don't really have to waste a lot of time managing the ads. I just have 3 campaigns that I tweak from time to time, that's all.
@@andreiIupsa awesome! thank you for the info. Keep making great videos!
Legend 12k/M is a life-changing money
Andrei first of all this is not a chatgpt generated comment haha!
I watched most of your videos and you are doing a great job in content but lacking in video editing and we could take that burden off from you and help you get more audience retention and likes. And for more clarity we can get on video chat if it feels comfortable to you. thanks
More flutter and app growing hacks contents please
hehe, interesting

Tell us more about life in Romania! You're not much in the news, and I imagine a cosy place after all that shit from the past?
That was the initial idea behind this channel, but I made some easier tech videos first just to get the hang of it, and now everybody expects them. We'll see. Nobody makes YT videos about this area, and life here is slow and cosy. A safe, quiet and really beautiful corner of the world.

Stop drinking Coffee while shooting video it little annoying
A friend of mine told me the same. Noted! 👍
The tea sips makes the video more like a relaxed conversation between 2 friends, in my opinion
@@NicolasBetiucAgreed! I don't know why people find it that annoying.
Don't stop the sipping, makes you a person.
Nice job.
