At least you were lucky enough to get to a hangar, avoid buggy mission and still have time to get that paint
I spent 3 days to grind 6 missions and get this paint.
@qutatron 12 missions right? It has only been a couple of weeks and I could only play for a fee hours early on the weekend. Spent last Saturday fighting elevators not showing up, when I found a server that let me get my ship, I relocated to another station to avoid bad elevators. Took the first mission, traveled 60+ gm. By time I reached this first mission area near an hour had passed, get to the ground and the objective never showed up.
Yesterday I tried again, got 2 missions done with a 3rd not letting objectives spawn in- but took a long while mostly due to how spread out they were, since I can't share missions - doing the attack convoy is obnoxious in a cutter. Could I rent a constellation? Sure but that would have been half my game time getting to stanton, landing at lorville or a18 and flying back.
What I'm saying is 12 completions with the state of the servers, avoiding hostile players, and the qt travel times relies a lot on luck and lots of extra time. 2 weeks is awful short in that regard and I hope cig rethinks their idea of making the deadline for this as 4.0.2
Tldr, I hope we have more time
Phase 1 costs me another 3 days but I done it previously. But this is nothing. Save Stanton in 3.24.3 was a real nightmare, especially Idris mission.
@qutatron true enough. Still time is everything
Great content man, really enjoying the series!
Thank You! I really recommand this type of gameplay. I can spend 2x more time in the verse and much less in stations and elevators :P
Love this series. I think it's important to show how much players can accomplish in a small starter ship. I often do a rags to riches start in a Nomad, which is one of my favorite ships. It can haul cargo, carry a ROC, has a tractor beam, decent living space, and a respectable weapons loadout. I run the same scavenge challenge and don't buy armor or food when starting a game. I do store some backup items at a station in case a game glitch kills me, but if I die by my own mistake or am killed, I start over.
@@xenrin Nomad is great camper van. Is storage locker under the bed working already?
@@qutatron not yet, but I have seen that it's on the list to be fixed. I usually just put a 1 SCU box in the bed for loot, so its not a big deal for me. But it will be nice when it's fixed.
@ I'm waiting for this fix.
Love these videos!
Nice, keep it up
Just a heads up. The rule on no suite will bite you if your ship glitches out in parts and your person can't breath. Even if it is on a planet, this glitch can kill you.
Also it would be interesting to see if you can get to the point of buying another ship so the challenge isn't based on that 1 ship, but any ship you are living on.
Loving your series and your music choices!!
@@TheaterTech43 thank You!
The Freelancer MAX is one of my favorite ships to use for this kind of gameplay. Yes, it badly needs some rework due to no gun racks or suit lockers but she lands on rough terrain very well and she can hold lots of vehicles, ship's weapons, and cargo.
I hate cockpit view, but Max is very good cargo runner, and scavenging components is fun!
12:09 standard Star Citizen experience
@@Guardian_Templar that was NPC cosplaying the Valakar.
@ lol, that’s awesome! Valakar first pass!
Nice vids.
I'm living mostly offgrid in game. Mostly around Dunboro / Astor's clearing and doing security missions.
I'm using a Cutlass Red for this lifestyle and it is amazing.
Maybe you should try it out in Pyro ?
Before 4.0 i used this ship a lot. This is probably the best off-grid ship for solo player so far.
@@qutatronThen, another idea if I may, After the cutter rambler, which is an awesome little ship too, an Argo SRV could be an interesting ship for such a challenge, albeit on a more pacifist approach.
Maybe you can try with avenger titan, you could dive in more on survival ship combat, like looting missile and weapon from your dead target and patch your ship with repair tool, try to survive with no or very limited landing repair... it will be hard but i'm sure it will be very interresting (it will be more interresting with a ship with his physicalised component but i can't think of one of the size and price range of avenger titan)
Great idea.
Quite hard to watch with that frame rate I’m afraid but like the idea of the Cutter life 👍
I add some RAM memory, maybe framerate will be slightly better. My PC is struggling in cluttered or bugged locations like Golden Riviera. Too many entities.
@ yeah I hear you. Feedback was just for you so you know rather than being critical. It’s a brutal game on System specs. Love the Cutter in Pyro theme though as it’s just seems like a Pyro ship to me 😊
@ Thank's a lot for feedback. I don't have any problems with constructive critique ;)
Intrepid after this challenge :)
Great ship, but unavailable to buy in game unfortunatelu. At least not yet.
Maybe try starting with just a pulse and see where it gets you :)
I always wanted to try it.
