I just gave it a base coat with territorial beige acrylic paint to use in place of primer.

What kind of paints do you recommend for this? I've been trying to repaint some dino models with my paints I use for miniature painting, but it always seems like that the paints used in youtube videos always look great with just one coat. Repainting the Collecta Deinocheirus is next on my bucketlist

I almost always use acrylic paint like the brand name Apple barrel and a few similar kinds. Occasionally I'll use some testers model paint though but not often. This repaint was finished completely with the Apple Barrel acrylics.
