The melody spins like a dream, weaving the tale of Annabelle Lee. Such a beautiful, slightly strange love story. :-) I’ve loved this song since I first heard it as a child-I even named my cat Annabelle. :-) Beautiful version 🌹🎶🫶
I love the way you two turn those poems and tales into beautiful and dark folk songs!!! Im not one for sitting down and reading but I do really enjoy these stories you choose. Have a great day Jo & Barrie!!
Tragic and beautiful song Jo and Barrie. Really interesting to hear a more electric guitar centred arrangement for this style. It works well, as do the multiple vocals. Great track.
Love Edgar Allen Poe. That was my grandads favourite author. But i somehow missed this poem. So thank you for putting me right. And what a wonderful track you created
Thank you Martin, for your comment. This was I believe the last poem Edgar Allan Poe wrote, originally published in 1849. Sarah Jarosz does a cracking version of this song, playing banjo. On UA-cam
