@@garyschafer-thepickinpilot9010 thank you kindly Gary. Have been listening to your music, just had to follow up on ‘the picking pilot’. Really enjoying your tracks❤️
“Stars can be picked out of the sky”. Beautiful. There is such a gentle power in the vocal delivery. Your lyrics paint vividly beautiful images of the place you sing of ❤
Thank you Viv, it was a lovely time in our lives, sometimes down to our last cent and others comfortable ( money wise) but always happy. Glad you liked it.
Such a beautiful energy in this performance! The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a place you hold dear, with the love and reverence you have for it woven into every note, sharing that special connection with us lucky listeners. 🫶🌹🎶
Thank you Roseonajacket (Rose?) I think Jo said it all, a precious time in our lives. Glad you liked the song, Jade did a great job of producing and mastering, she really is a Starr.
This is great! I love how it changes around 4 minute mark and sounds like traditional African music! Just wonderful - great drums by Jade too! Loved the pictures and footage!!
This is fantastic! Even after listening to Jade reworking it for one of the hours, it’s fresh, catchy and interesting. You two get better like fine wine.
What a beautiful, playful song. Lovely crisp production. Barrie's thinline Tele at 2:32 has got to be the most unusual design of that type I have ever seen. Nice.
Thank you Scott, it was a Dillion Tele Clone so I had no problems re- designing it. It was back in the day when I was a furniture maker and had the time and tools to play with such things. It was going to be Pink but when choosing the colour ( it is automotive paint) it was nearly Kia Pink but then I saw Lamborghini Mauve so now she is called Lambo. D you have names for you guitar/s? Thank you for your encouraging and positive comment, Jade took it upon herself to re-mix and change a few things, including my crappy drums for which we are most grateful.
Im a huge fan of you both! I shouldn't be surprised but i am hearing Jade play that style of drums. They weren't bongos but definitely sounded like some type of hand drums. I always love the tales your tunes have too. Hope you both have a great week! Also didn't know you were from south Africa.
Thanks for your kind words. The drums at the beginning were found on a sound library thing “Afro Beat Pack”that Jo got along with African voices, Jade did the rest of the drums. We spent 10 glorious years in the beautiful country 1970-1980, a little politically unstable now but we went back 8 years ago and spent most of our time in the Eastern Cape which is truly beautiful.
It was a blast👏
What a great song! Excellent production as well. 👏👏👏
Thank you Christopher. Kudos to Jade on production
Love the flute, the guitar, the clicking stick, the beautiful vocals! This is a superb song!
Thank you so much for your kind comment Kubrick
