My car is a 1970 Road Runner stroked 383 dyno 425 horse and 530 foot. Has stock 3 speed auto which is actually surprisingly fun when it kicks down. Also the automatic tends to calm down the power a little bit helping to keep the tires hooked up.
i got the rt shaker manual and i love it! and i be telling people idc how better the technology for auto trannies are now a days and how more fuel efficient they are and "better at shifting" they are. they will never be as fun as a manual transmission lol
Also friend, don't forget that automatics ECU have rev limiters but manuals do NOT have rev limiters. That is the reason I own a Dodge Ram truck with V8 & manual transmission. My rear window says LOUD PIPES SAVES LIVES.
I agree. I had a pleasure of driving an R/T manual brand new at dealership lot. It was a pleasant surprise it had the power and the control. I feel much more confidant with a manual than I would with an automatic due to sheer power of the engine. More so with a Scat Pack I suspect. I was considering buying the car but poor dealership experience turned me off.
I will always pick an Automatic trans over a manual. Even though a Manual is fun to drive ( but so is the auto ), the AUTO's are quicker and far more consistant at the track. Plus , I often see a lot of people who own stick shift cars and they dont have a F--king clue as to what they are doing.
You did almost no explanation in detail about why you chose the manual and it's funny because YOU DIDN'T need to! It's self explanatory with just watching you drive bro hahaha It definitely looks like a much better experience behind the wheel of that thing and sometimes I wish I went with manual. Enjoy that thing my man! These things are a blast to drive. Sub'd and looking forward to the growth!
I just bought a manual 2021 challenger challenger TA I love it Didn't even want to try driving or manual but it was just such a sweet looking car I figured what the The hack and took it for a test drive And fell in love
I ordered the Challenger Scat Widebody Shaker fully loaded just because it was a manual. I originally went in for a Cat, till I found out I cannot get the TR6060 in a new Hellcat. 😞 Watching your vid get's me amped to pick it up.
For anyone who really enjoys driving, manual of course! 2002 seal grey 911 turbo 6spd and 2018 Max Steel RT Plus Shaker 6spd with 4 piston Brembo and Alcantara seats. I had to wait a while for these orders to get to the dealers, but it's worth it... Good luck with your beautiful car!
I own a 2015 SRT 8 with a manual . Nothing like getting 2nd. Still looks brand new to . Only problems I have had is with the law . Last time it cost me 20 hours of community service . Still haven't top it out yet .
Dizzy Devil: By..far I prefer a manual for the driving..connection shifting myself. Life interrupts fun sometimes though. I needed a 4 door so I am making due with automatic in my widebody Charger Scat Pack. Your car sounds great!!! Dodge really got the exhaust right on these cars. I added headers to the otherwise stock exhaust on mine and its..glorious. Beautifully edited video btw👍👍👍
Have you removed the clutch delay valve or are currently still considering doing so? I know it for sure helps with aggressive driving. It reduces clutch wear, stiffens the clutch engagement, and also helps makes shifting gears in the gearbox just a bit more smoother.
I’ve never driven a manual car or even been in a manual car but I’ve watched so many videos on how to drive a manual that I think I can do it. I want a Challenger Scat Pack Widebody
I bought mine to upshift though...downshift is an add on fun deal... But to quote the great Ricky Bobby.. "I wanna go fast!!" Not.. I wanna downshift... Cmon DD!
Proud of you .. one of the few that can drive a manual … I want one of those challengers really bad , im saving up 20 k to put down on a brand new scat so I won’t have those high ass payments . I got a mortgage , and a truck I’m paying on.
Dumb. Keep the 20k in the bank and or let it make you money and finance all of it. Interest rates are so low and 20k literally will only save you 200.00 per month. If you are worried about an extra 200 per month then you are too stretched out and need to put the scat pack on the back burner for a couple more years. Cash is king. You have hard times and 200.00 one way or another will not break you. You will be in trouble regardless. But if you hit hard times with 20 k in the bank its not near as bad. Hope that makes sense. Most wealthy folks finance for the very reasons I listed above. Cash is King.

It’s not always about speed. A real driver who loves driving and having compete control of the vehicle should have a manual. A lot more beneficial for the experience.
