Hi great tutorial thank you! I have a quick question and would love some help: at 9:16 whenever I attach a noise top to transform, the final result always turn into a square (as all the instancing happens within a square). Do you know why that is?
Hi, How do you enter performance mode? I followed the tutorial but whenever I want to enter performance mode an error message saying " missing operator specified for Perform Mode" & "Window COMP Error" shows up. Where can I add the perfrom chop to so I can have the file up on my projector?
Thank you so much for your comment! We can schedule this idea for future tutorials. In the meantime you can read the documentation of the Audio Device In CHOP and get an idea: derivative.ca/UserGuide/Audio_Device_In_CHOP
Hi, thank you for the awesome tutorial. I'm trying to figure out how to turn the background alpha to transparent. Would you be able to help me figure out which node to toggle transparency for the background on and off with?
You mention optimization purposes, just interested to know how much slower it would be if you bypass the SOP to CHOP part and use the SOP to instance instead?
If you only use the static SOP data it doesn't make so much difference. The expensive part is applying the noise. As the noiseTOP runs on the GPU will run waaaay much faster as the noiseSOP, specially with so many instances
Very informative thanks for that! I stumbled upon a problem at the beginning though. When i want to attach the null1 to SOP it doesn't connect. And when i connected a TOP afterwards there was a warning sign. I am just starting with touch designer through university and i have no clue. So if anybody can explain i would be very helpful :)
Sop networks require geometry to render and can't do this only with a material. you can go into the cube sop and change between points and lines though!
Very nice tutorial - thanks! I used parts of it to make this: ua-cam.com/video/GkOqN6EV5XE/v-deo.html I look forward to watching more of your tutorials in future.
The mirror trick is soooo fire, thank you for this
using a math chop to multiply by ~0.02 before the audio reactive op helps if you want to automate the all parameters at once with the audio
Incredible, thank you so much for posting these tutorials ♡
Great job! I love this tutorial. Thank you!
thank you! 💚

Thank you !!!
Hi there, amazing tutorial! Am I supposed to hear the audio when I hit play? Is there a way to be able to hear the audio?
This tutorial is amazing! Any tutorial of how can I connect all this work to a live music like a mic or a guitar? Thank you so much!

Figured it out. In the RGB Key, select alpha output as new alpha!
Perhaps a simple question, but what do you have to do to ‘recolor’ a node UI item to red (@3:50)?
you have to press 'c' on your keyboard
Hello, Previous animation tutorials links says these videos are not available. Can you help me ?
When I click viewer active, the box does not appear in the split screen, any idea why?
Im having the same issue. Did you figure out why it happens?
@@sander8831 Me too, I had to view the Box in a separate Window. Guessing it's a bug?

It just doesn’t work

Thanks for the video❤, i tried the tutorial with a Music of 3 minutes, But My animation is only having 1:10, what is making this happen?
