    The theme songs keep on ringing in my mind whenever I hear the titles of these animated series.
    I recall Lion-O once in an episode wherein he reverted back to child,I just can remember exactly how that happened but it did.
    The good old days...

    I enjoyed this. Can't wait for part 2. Growing up near Pittsburgh we didn't get rage Comic Strip on any local stations. But when I would visit my grandparents in Columbus the big treat was seeing tiger sharks on Saturday morning.

    I really like the Mutants and their spaceships! I remember being at a local grocery store and seeing the ThunderCats sticker book, those glossy images from the animation are still very intriguing to me. I pretty much hated seeing the Mutants capital ship crash, and sink into the sand.

    Thanks for being fair so far. Your first video ages ago really seemed to be so angry! Snarf's not so bad, SNARFER is annoying though. Snarf saved the day so many times! And those odd vocal directions I always thought, were to add to the grand, magical aspect of the show. It worked, I'm up to 25 MOC Thundercats! Can't wait to see part 2 HOOOO!!!

    I think the reason people "remember" Biggs being in the movie is because of how often we heard the radio dramas, and the fact that the Biggs character/scenes *were* included in official Star Wars picturebooks.

    Great show. You guys didn't mention that Thundercats was made around the same time as He-Man and it's release was delayed (I forget why). Thundercats always seemed late to the 80's party to me. It came out at the same time (roughly) as Mask, and they were very much the 'middle' shows of the 80's that predated the ALF / Real Ghostbusters / Turtles latter part of the 80's.

    Will there be any mention of Steve Perry in part 2? He was one of the writers for ThunderCats and SilverHawks. He was a pretty cool guy. When I was part of a fan forum called New Hawk Haven he would pop in to chat with the fans and tell us about his plans for a SilverHawks reboot. Unfortunately he was murdered before the project could get off the ground. After we got the news about his death in the forum we were devastated. He was such a nice, cool, and friendly person and personally I was honored that he took the time to interact with a rag tag group of SilverHawks fans. When the TCats reboot aired and I saw a dedication to Steve at the end of one of the episodes I lost it and cried and cried. I thought it was so thoughtful of them to remember Steve that way. He loved writing for those shows.

    TMS Entertainment That animated Mighty Orbots and Bionic Six almost always had better animation in the show than in the intro. Return of the Bunji episode of the Bionic Six arguably has some of the nicest animation for a episode ever. The also did the amazing "Call of the Primitives" Transformers episode...and the best looking of the entire G1 run.

    Was Rattaro ever in the pyramid? I always thought he and vultureman were kind of freelance villains and Mum-Ra just accepted them as a package deal with the rest of the Mutants.
    Was Hachiman the samurai from another dimension or was he from another time? I only saw the episode with him a handful of times I just remember from the movie that Mum-Ra did something to him and Lion-O was assured by Jaga that he was just returned to where he came from. One day I'll actually get to go to dragon con and not be on the edge of my seat waiting for the videos...

  • @chriscummings4206

    Wait a minute, the old man that was on board the spaceship (before he died from old age and his remains withered away), he could have altered the sleeping pod to insure that Lion-O was at least old enough to hold the sword, but possibly also to appear old enough lead the group!❤️🐈🐈‍⬛

  • @austinpricer8207
    @austinpricer8207 Рік тому

    I think Jaga programmed Lion-O's pod so he would age, because he knew Lion-O would need to be bigger and stronger in order to be ready to lead sooner.

    I've thought about the aging thing. animals in the wild grow quickly to maturity and then kind of level off in later years in growth right? maybe they all did age the same, but the only noticeable one was Liono. Wiley Kit and Kat are based on Wild cats which are smaller in stature than the other big cats. so even though they are childlike in size they are actually fully mature. just my theory

    • @munstrumridcully
      @munstrumridcully 6 років тому

      The only fault I see in your theory(which I like) is that the bigger Thundercats treated the Wily Twins as children in many episodes, if my memory serves :)

    I always thought that the timeline put that it was Earth after two or through cataclysms. We're millions.of years post those cataclysms wgen.the show starts and Mumm-Ra is the last survivor pre-first cataclysm.. He's not a supernatural evil, he's a technologically enhanced human that has managed to figure out how to be a demi-lich. He still has the cloning tech etc.
    And he's pissed off that after orchestrating the cataclysms and finally getting third earth the way he wanted it to be... here come these damn cats!

    i love the thundercats. my faves were the lunataks. and the reason some think Mandela died early on is because his cell mate died and the claimed it was him. they brought in his wife who said it was not him. but they already declared him deceased. DNA test proved it not to be Mandela and we get to this point. so far nothing I have been shown about the Mandela effect I have not been able to disprove with little research.

    lion-o's pod is explained, just not very well. in the deleted scenes whilst discussing the pods, snarf says "you'll never get me to believe those things work". the pods work, just not %100, the process is sort of hit or miss. this whole bit just wasn't explained well, then cut out, and finally half forgotten, then explained away as best as we could

    Watching this video I was thunderstruck with the answer to the great 80s mystery why does Lion-O age into an adult while Wilycat and Wilykit appear to stay children - the answer is simple they aren’t the same kind of Thundercats. When Retroblasting put up the big earth cat to Thundercat comparison to show how Lion-O is based on a lion and Panthro a panther etc I realized the Wilys are based on housecats. The answer was in the pilot the whole time, they all age the same amount but Lions start out the same size as housecats but then they rapidly turn into giant adults. The wilys didn’t get any bigger because that’s as big as they are going to get. The Thundercats are all members of different races of cats that evolved into humanoids and the Wilys are the housecat sized ones. That’s the correct answer. I’m sure of it.

    The Star Wars Bigs scene is not a true Mandela effect. In 1978 there was a book called the Star Wars story book. This book told the story of the movie along side pictures from the movie. Included was a picture of Luke and Bigs talking on Tatooine and there conversion is in the story part of the book. I think people saw that picture and read the book and over time it became part of the movie to them. Since there is a real source of these memories I do not believe they quality as being the Mandela Effect.
    I had the opposite effect. I saw the pic in the book and could not remember that see in the movie. I only saw Star Wars once in 1977, and did not see it again until my parents bought the VHS tape in 1983, I remember watching waiting to see if that seen was in the movie. Which is was not.

    So that's why children's cartoons had no edge! I grew up in Latin America. We got a ton of Anime from the golden age of the 70's and 80's. Even the ones that were not violet were straight up tragic... I watched these shows along with the Thundercats and loved them all. Having said that, as an adult The Thundercats cartoon doesn't hold my attention... And the acting on the Spanish Dubbing is far superior. I just can't watch the English version....
