I think the scene with Sheriam, Alanna, and her Warders in the show illustrates how Alanna's relationship with her Warders is atypical for Aes Sedai and not approved by others. Also, Verin and Tomas this season are another example of a non-sexual/romantic relationship, as was Kerene and Stepin in season one (and a Green Ajah one at that). I'm not a huge fan of Alanna's relationship with her Warders in the show, but she's also taking on Myrelle's role. I also think this triad is helping prepare audiences for Alanna's future bonding of another man and a certain main character's polyamorous relationships (plus those of other cultures) from the books. I don't like Lan's story arc this season, but I feel like I understand what they're doing with Alanna and her Warders.
In the trailers we see shots of Rand in Falme so my guess is that Tear is the plotline being merged into book 2. IMO the ending of book 2 has always felt much grander and impactful than book 3. The sword plotline can easily pushed forward has it has no real impact until way later and the forsaken there was only a "HI there! My name is... Oh no Balefire i'm done!!". The aiel part can imo can also be either pushed forward or merged with falme.

Yeah you are probably right since there has been zero mention of Callender and killing Ishmael would feel like it was too soon
