Q: What the fuck is the "In-Game" version?
A: *TL;DR* - The Assault Intros (#1 & #2) and the Anticipation fadeout/Assault fade-in/looping phase have been **poorly** added to the in-game version. The 'normal' version doesn't bother with that nonsense. *Link is Below*
*Longer answer* - The assault intros (both #1 & #2) and the Anticipation fadeout/Assault fade-in/looping phase do a fine job when they're looping everything together in-game, but outside of the game? They do fuck all. In a cleaner and less potty-mouth translation: it makes the track really fucking ugly. If you want the really fucking ugly experience, well that's what the in-game version's for.
Q: How long are the files that are added to the in-game version?
A: Assault #1 & #2 Intro - 3 seconds long
Anticipation fadeout/Assault fade-in/looping phase - 11 seconds long (but it's the same 1 second of music looped over and over)

I will give you that the looping part does jack shit, but without the assault intros, the sudden shift in music phase is very jarring, and doesn't sound good at all to me, it could be somewhat that i'm used to being able hear music-wise the exact moment shit's gonna start hitting the fan, so you can feel it too, but idk

code silver means MULTIPLE armed shooters tho not just one.
Its for an active shooter or hostage situation, though both apply to the heist itself. In Australia, its called a Code Black Beta. Code CBR is for NBC contamination. The closest the US has to an outbreak would be Code Orange, though that mainly applies to spills.

My first reaction to the heist was "wtf"
I just love the atmosphere of Mercy hospital gives you a eerie feeling that something's going to go wrong. don't get me started on the fact that CEDA and the military are dead set on making sure that that virus and you don't leave alive because they know what is in that virus and they do not want that getting out to their country, especially with the reanimated bodies in the ambulance escape.

I just love the heartbeat sensor bits in assault. Really sells the shootout in the hospital thing
You should check out PAYDAY: The Heist’s version of this track. The heartbeat sensor is more prominent, and it also features the breathing of an iron lung.
Really sells you the feeling that what you doing could end up in a catastrophe of enormous proportions, heartbeats are generally used to create tension musically speaking, but also with a dash of unsettling vibes, the one's that tell you in the back of your mind (in the context of the heist) "I shouldn't be probably stealing blood from an infected patient with a virus that is apparently so dangerous, the damn military values it so much they're willing to turn the entire hospital and everyone in it to ash so that YOU don't get it in any way, shape or form", yeeeeah
Personally, i like both versions of code silver. They're bangers.

I love how this track fits so perfectly old original PAYDAY rhytms, that "wubwub" like "The Mark" or "Tick Tock" that was making PAYDAY 2 soundtrack unique of all games. Amazing just amazing
Aside from some sound effects, the assault phase sounds like it could genuinely be one of the early tracks for the game. It sounds fantastic.

I was a bit put off at first, but it was mostly because of my expectations. The original Code Silver is a really differently-toned and heavy track, while this is way more about feeling like a straightforward badass scenario, which does fit the new No Mercy quite well. I also love the two assault themes!

EDIT: 3 years and a few replies later now I realize it is meant to be a joke on the fact that, by all means, Duke has no business being present in the flashback. Down to Duke saying he feels like he is not supposed to be there. Though it is interesting it only happens with Duke, unless similar dialogues happen with other heisters and I forgot.

@@juliogomesdesouza9035 Because Duke will turn out to be one of the leading characters in the story after Bain gets yoinked. The intro dialog implies that was Bains plan all along.
@@R77ification I'm late but that line is simply confirming that PD2's No Mercy is a flashback, and since you can break out Hoxton with Hoxton or Sangres it's just an easter egg pointing out that you can play any heist with any heister, even causing time paradoxes.
@@screamybingus707 they are not time paradoxes, the devs said they interpret the heists as grandiose stories kinda like legends, and that details about them get murky, hence why you can play any heist with any heister. Or murder literally thousands of cops. Might be worth looking into from one of their dev logs

I really love Assault #2. It just perfectly fits in with the situation of this mission. Especially when Bain tells you that there are jets shooting missiles at the building, it just makes me think of the word "pummel" for some reason. The cops REALLY don't want you or even worse - the virus to get out of the hospital.
I mean that virus is the cause of the existece of l4d

As someone who’s never played PD:TH, I’m in love with this one. Both this and I Will Give You My All 2017 are my favorite Payday tracks in general, and both seem to have their share of detractors :/
I wasn’t too fond of this one for some time because it lacked the gravity that the original Code Silver had.
I still don’t like IWGYMA 2017 because it feels like Simon butchered his own track that was already as good as it got (plus the fact you can’t play the original in-game is a shame)

Well code silver 2018 is cool but I like the old code silver. I like how creepy it is
I like both code silver. I think the first one was more grounded, showing the seriousness of the situation. The remix is more gravitated towards stealth, since this is the focus of payday 2. I really like the very start, with the little notes, showing the the calm before the storm and a relaxed yet uneasy heist
Sounds kinda like a hospital PA system jingle, which is why i like the ingame version more.
I forgot this was a crossover heist until the other night when I played through the campaign in L4D2.
this is one of the tracks that make me feel disgusted for what im doing like really one part makes it feel emotional even i cant really describe it
