In my exciting PAYDAY 2 gameplay, I triumphed in the intense "No Mercy" heist from L4D2. Collaborating with my skilled team, we executed daring strategies, rescued hostages, and engaged in thrilling firefights. With diverse escape endings, the gaming experience was immersive and adrenaline-pumping. PAYDAY 2 and L4D2 merged seamlessly, delivering exhilarating gameplay at its best.

@@atte7976 theres a map in left 4 death called no mercy, you need escape via heli on roof of the hospital, SO much zombies and the roof is destroyed, we think payday gang caused infection of left 4 death, i think its true but creators didnt say a thing
Its what basically start Left 4 Dead
@@blascomartin2409 It's actually non-cannon sadly. But it would really cool if it was cannon.
l4d and payday universum are not connected and not cannon.
@@blascomartin2409 It's not cannon, and the payday 2 remaster version says that the virus we get in no mercy is other thing but not the same as in from left 4 dead, according to the wiki
Boys, im going to explain what is actually happening in this heist.
Firtsly, this heist is cannon in the payday universe, and not in the Left 4 Dead Universe
Ok, if you know the history of the L4D franchise you know this is the hospital that started the zombie/infected apocalypse,
So, knowing that, we know why the client (murky water) wants the blood from patient zero, he wants a sample of the green flu virus.
You must be wondering why the heist isn't cannon on the L4D universe and is on the payday universe, because there is a key difference on this non-cannonically universe: the army is on hold, outside of the hospital.
That's the difference that completely stops the history from L4D from happening.
Why? cause the army receives the notification that dead people are getting up and attacking everyone in the hospital, and that they are growing in numbers, so the bomb the fuck out of the hospital with jets and gunships (*_AC-130 ABOVE_*) to stop the infected from leaving the hospital and starting the apocalypse; and as seen in a easter egg in the heist, Bill is seen on the elevators, so this implicates that he is killed during the bombing or heavely injured, (he's a main character) and the virus is stopped.
and just one ending is cannon, the roof escape,
because If you escape trough the morgue, you doomed the planet and ended the payday history, because you can hear the gang coughing a bunch, that indicates that they got the virus there, altough they are not turning immeadiatly because of the adrenaline of the heist (also bain, notices that you are infected and say he is leaving you guys for dead, atleast on the payday the heist version) so they turn (basically die) on the way to the safehouse, so they dont hand over the samples to bain, so he doesn't get the cagliostro book as payment for the heist, and it basically cancels payday 2 story.
The roof escape actually is the cannonical version, because the gang doesn't get near the infected air of the morgue, so they dont get infected, and they get out before the hospital colapses, but the client (murky water) gets the virus samples, and many years later infect bain with the virus on the payday 2 story.
Didnt Bill had time to run?
In the Payday 2 version they don't cough or anything and Bain doesn't turn when he's infected, so maybe the Payday 1 version actually follows L4D with Payday 2's only connection being Mercy Hospital.
@@stefanelul2744 maybe he is who rescue us in no mercy
And Fucking dies in Crash course
but the virus isn't airborne, i remember it being written in one of the walls in a safehouse for, ironically the same mission in l4d2's No Mercy
So basically what he's saying is the one that the thing exploded and Cannon to the payday 2 but the one that the Payday 2 crew breathe in the infected air and the other ending that were left for dead was Cannon to that time
1:41 "that was fun man! lets do it again!" -scarface after falling down 130 floors in an elevator and being left for dead
I have my own little mini theory in regards to these endings.
The roof exit is canon for the Payday universe, as it prevents the plague from happening via bombing at the cost of Bain dying from those infected samples later on.
The morgue exit is canon for the Left 4 Dead universe, because the infection ends up spreading the virus and the payday gang members apart of that heist get infected, being truly left for dead.
sadly no, valve has said its non-canon in l4d universe since no mercy was an evacuation center.
Wouldn't it be the other way around? In the morgue exit Murkywater levels the place with explosives, preventing the virus/zombies escaping and making it impossible for the hospital to turn up as a level in L4D. But in the roof escape, they just leave, and nothing happens to the virus/zombies in the building.
@@sunshineskystar While the Payday gang isn't canon in the L4D universe, there's nothing preventing Overkill from doing the reverse. I don't know if the alternate endings were supposed to mean a different outcome in whether the outbreak happens or not, but in Payday Mercy Hospital gets bombed, while you can see it clearly still standing in L4D so I'm calling that what matters.
If we’re tying these two timelines together, I say it’s the other way around.
- Roof exit means the building hasn’t been completely shot down (the fire was immediately suppressed by the firefighters) and explains why the landing pad was only chipped by the time Bill, Francis, Zoey, and Louis arrive.
It also ties in with Bill’s interlude during The Passing: Comic. While the heist was going on, Bill was preparing for a surgery. The heist ends, bombs are dropped, the nurse turns into an infected, and Bill runs out right after the heisters did.
- Morgue exit means the building has been shot down and the virus hasn’t spread “completely” (only the heisters got it and was passed onto Bain). It could also possible that the virus Bain got wasn’t severe enough to turn him into a common infected, and not too much to turn him into a special infected.
Either way, I think murky water still bumps the building and in payday canon. Both endings are well canon. Just one ending is just a reference to the left for dead games.
its non-canon, but if it were, it would explain why the elevator is on the 30th floor in l4d
It’s non-canon for PD:TH but it is canon for PD2, at least from what I’m aware.
@@TheChucklesTM correct. They made it cannon for the second game.

This mission is non-canon and a reference to the first campaign in left for dead, there's even a witch in a closed off room that jumpscares you when you state at her
Stare*
It was confirmed to be canon on payday 2
I think the 2 separate endings determine which is canon: PD2 or L4D. If you get the morgue ending the gang gets infected in there and they died and turned on the way back, making L4D canon. If you get the roof and avoid the morgue you escape uninfected and the government blows up the hospital, making PD2 canon and L4D uncanon
I like to imagine that after no mercy the virus was contained or smth and everyone lived happily ever after
Although i played l4d
I mean I'd say it depends. In Payday 1 the crew start coughing and feel off. The guy they're taking blood from starts to look more infected as time passes, and the bodies move in the morgue escape. In Payday 2 tho they don't cough or anything and Bain doesn't turn when he's infected by Kataru with the samples the crew got.
@@BlazinVoid59 probably because the payday gang are immune. Maybe they just started to show symptoms then they suddenly become immune. Bain might not though.
@@BlazinVoid59 this is a bit late but they actually did live happily at the cost of their lives because of the heist special forces we're already there and when the infected started attacking people it was easy for the fbi to call in heavy artillery so when bile "leaves you for dead" he single handedly contained the virus so when the building collapsed it took all the infected with it l4d is a alternate ending to no mercy so yes the payday gang unknowingly sacrificed them selfes for the entire world
My theory;
The morgue ending is canon to L4D, with the payday crew getting infected as they went through the morgue, and on the way back to base they succumb to it and they turned, (or they got fatally hurt in the elevator fall, and adrenaline kept them alive until they got away and more relaxed, causing them dying and turning) leading to them causing the outbreak and L4D being canon.
The roof ending is canon to Payday, with the crew avoiding the morgue and the elevator fall they were able to escape uninfected and uninjured, as the government contained the virus in the hospital.
Either way it's still scary as hell knowing this whole mission you were minutes away from getting caught in the first virus outbreak, and while you were going up the elevator the other people in the hospital were being eaten alive without the crew even realizing it. If the crew had been just 1 more minute delayed from getting to the elevator, they'd probably have been eaten alive too...
The zombies in L4D don’t eat people.
i just realise i played no mercy and the white house without realizing it its the last mission according to bain's lore
Dallas says he has an itch in his throat
Here’s maybe a little bit more payday lore for you in relation to this mission, mercy hospital in left4dead is located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and most of the payday gang heists are in Washington DC metro area.
Well they do go to other locations all over the world.
Actually, Mercy Hospital is located in Fairfield, not Philadelphia
@@Biologicalerror yea cause golden grin casino is based on locatiob las vegas
It's flashback, it's like… Chains was telling story like they did this heist back then in the current time (before White House). Writer explained "l4d, zombies stuff" that Chains was just saying it to enhance story, while it's not true. Virus they got is not green flu, it's unknown virus. All zombie stuff that's in heist is:
1. Laziness/wanting to keep heist 1:1 in comparison with Payday the Heist.
2. Stuff that didn't happened (story "enchantments" by story teller)
*"This job might come back from the dead and haunt us"*

Why does everybody think this is in any way connected to the L4D lore? It was explicitly said multiple times and quite clearly to be just a simple and straightforward collaboration
well, this hospital IS the very same one you play on that takes up an entire level on one of the left 4 dead games.

Apparently the 2nd game is now canon
I think your ending determines which game is canon for you. If you got the Morgue ending the Payday gang got infected in the morgue and they turned as they drove back to base, meaning L4D is canon in this ending with the gang themselves causing the outbreak. But in the roof ending you avoided the morgue, and so escaped uninfected as the government contained the virus.
Morgue ending: L4D is canon for you
Roof ending: L4D is uncanon for you
Wait. If everyone dies in the end, then what's the point of being deducted cash for shooting civies. Technically you are doing them and the world a favor.
TLDR Dallas chains, woof, and Hoxton steal the blood of a patient with a rare blood disease, kind of something like that
The left for dead games are
about a group of four survivors who have to shoot their way through zombies/infected and on the first level of the first game you end up going to the no mercy hospital. And payday the heist to pay homage to value they made a heist that was non-canonically connected to both the payday and left for dead series. And Pt 2 overkill decided to bring back the no mercy heist because they wanted to bring back all the heist from the first game and so they play off no mercy have a flashback where Dallas wolf chains and Hoxton go to the no mercy hospital in New York I’m pretty sure And they receive a blood sample of a patient who has a rare blood disease, not a green flu, but a blood disease that overtime slowly kills him, and while the patient starts to get worse, that also is to pay homage to the payday the heist no mercy.
What was happening outside when air units were attacking they wernt mercenaires They were Military Forces/ police
They were destroying the hospital to stop the gang escaping with the virus and to stop the virus spreading as the dead bodies in the morgue had already started to turn into infected
I guess this is why it explains the special infected to be that strong

Yes it is. (Only in PD2 tho)
There's 2 things this could be; it's canon but not to the L4D universe, in the PD2 universe the government destroyed the hospital before the virus could spread. Or this is canon to the L4D universe, and the Payday gang leaving the hospital after being in contact with the virus is the very thing that started the infection.
I think it depends on your ending what the canon is, if you get the roof ending then you get away uninfected and the hospital gets destroyed, thus the outbreak is stopped. But if you got the morgue ending you got the virus on you while walking past all those bodies and you carried it out of the hospital, causing the outbreak. It may even be possible that the gang themselves died and turned on the way back to their base, could be the elevator fall or the infection killed them, and as they drove away and their adrenaline relaxed they died and turned. Obviously if that's the case than the rest of PD2's story would be uncanon
