Entire budget in question:
Entire budget well spent >:3c
@@cloudynguyen6527 indeed
I mean they got the bloody Vienna Symphonic Orchestra to record this, so we 100% know where the budget went haha
Can confirm, entire budget went on this song instead of PD3.
Being lucky enough to have the lyrics kick in on the final escape sequence is bound to make you feel beyond unstoppable.
I swear whenever the Lyrics popup in any heist shit just hit the fan and you feel like a god.
You start in your very own action movie.
I remember when I first time I played Scarface and lyrics slapped at the end of the heist, when I was moving bags. It was amazing.
I really wish Payday 3 has some sort of system where either the song gets more intense or the lyrics come in during times of desperation, such as Point of No Return or Endless Assault waves.
For me the lyrics kicked in during the boss fight, magical experience
It's kinda weird to realize that this might be the first official track since *Break the Rules* to have a lyrical section.
For being what's probably the last heist they'll ever add, though, I'd say it's well enough earned the lyrics.

Gustavo had some big shoes to fill coming after Simon, and I don’t think they could have found a better man for the job.
Turns out the shoes were actually undersized for this king.
@@Salem33 I'd say he fits them snugly. :D
I gotta agree with kettle here, he'll fit in just fine. (Still respects to Viklund tho)
Gustavo didn't fill in Simons shoes
He chose to wear his own
@@mysterysoup5110 thats the best description to give his work
A fitting god damn send off to 10 years of living legends, they rode into town with guns upon their hips with the devil at their back and yet they rode into the sunset with fists full of dollars, death's hands empty and the devil short some sinner's souls
Here's to 10 years of kicking ass and taking names, and hopefully Payday 3 will provide us with many more.
But as with most legends, the devils due must eventually be paid. So we’ll see where PD3 brings us.
@@myxolydian8778 He'll have to pry it from our cold dead hands, because we won't go down so easily!

Would still be nicer to have Simon and rest of the composers make at least one track for the upcoming game though.
I do wish Simon will return for another I Will Give You My All rendition. One can hope.

I'm gonna miss Viklund and his synth heavy style but holy moly Gustavo just has this nice action vibe to his music, can't wait to see his stuff in PD3
simon was perfect for the more gritty realistic payday and gustavo is perfect for the more fast paced and (for lack of a better term) lighthearted payday
@@joeJOE-zy7rw I wouldn't say lighthearted, just more adventurous. Simon made the payday gang really feel like criminals. Gustavo made them feel like so much more.
@@joeJOE-zy7rw simon made many of the other fast paced "lighthearted" tracks. both are great
@@ZetaHorzion never disagreed, both are amazing.
Already a masterpiece in Payday 3
People saying that this is the true send off of Payday, I'm not entirely agreeing. Both "end" are vastly different.
Operation Black Light has a "shit just hit the fan. We are on a timer. The world count on us. Bain count on us" vibe. Its the serious part of Payday showing up. We do this to save Bain.
But On the Road is all about the "LET GOOOOOO LETS GET THIS FUCKING BREAD WOOOOOOOO" vibe that Payday always had.
White House is about the story's end.
Crude Awakening is about the legacy's end.
While White House had the whole "End of the World" story, which was absolutely fantastic in it's own way, Crude Awakening feels climatic, with the rest of the gang getting the send off they deserve. Silk Road, LA, the Texas chapter, all of the post ending story... ends here. With one massive oil rig, one last job, their last Payday.
For most of the gang, I think it does feel like a wonderful sendoff.
For at least the original four, though, it feels a little more bittersweet knowing that inevitably they will be drawn back into all this with the sequel...
...but that doesn't make this feel any less amazing.
Couldn’t have said it any better

What a song to end off payday 2
I think what makes this bitter sweet is how it feels like a track full of confidence til the end, especially as the devs confirmed someone hit the payday gang before payday 3 and all but 6 Are MIA
Then, i guess, September is time to remind someone that one does not attack someone of Payday gang without payback - clowns will got to Hell and back for one if their own
What do you mean 6 have gone MIA?
@@Laikafan02 ALL BUT 6 have gone MIA. someone hit the payday gang and everyone but Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, Wolf, and 2 returning characters that haven't been revealed yet is missing.
@@Kadeo64if I were to guess its probably Duke and Sokol, if not Sokol than Joy because Payday 3 is more tech based. Duke Im pretty confident in because he’s the crews archeological guy so without him a lot of story stuff breaks down
@@creativename6126I feel like it's gonna be 1 returning heister and 1 that is new
Damn, got literal chills when the lyrics kick in. Thinking back on all the heists undertaken over the years. This truly feels like a great swan song for Payday 2. A conclusion to a game with almost an entire decade of history. Looking forward to heisting even more in Payday 3!
the TRUE swan song for payday 2, unlike back in 2016.
Lyrics (from what I and others could hear):
I'm on the road again,
the one that got us here.
Through murky waters
and golden grins,
so many drills we broke,
so many laws we broke.
I'm on the road again,
let's end this.
We're comin' down,
like wolves in masks,
and you're our prey.
We're comin' down,
turn up the heat!
I'm on my way.
We're comin' down,
with all the fire,
with all the crew.
We're comin' down,
on you.
I'm on the road again,
and money calls me,
I'm on my feet again,
roamin' free!
I'm on the road again,
back on my feet.
I got that spark again,
turn up the heat,
WE FOUGHT
WE HACKED
WE SABOTAGED
WE ROBBED
WE SHOT
WE RAN!
I'm on the road again,
let us settle this score.
we're comin' down,
like wolves in masks,
and you're our prey.
We're comin' down,
Turn up the heat,
I'm on my way.
We're comin' down,
with all the fire,
with all the crew.
We're comin' down...
on you...
(last "on you" was cut off)
You forgot a "we're coming down" before the final "turn up the heat, i'm on my way"
It actually ends like that. We're coming down is the main lyric in this song for some weird reason.
It is cut off, there's usually one last "on you."
It is, but in a version that is in the trailer and will be in the actual release version on the song for Spotify and the Chinatown Music Pack
I think the first verse finishes with
so many trails we broke,
so many laws we broke.
I'm on the road again,
let's end this.
So I'm sure everyone hears them, but all the references about "Murky Waters" and "Golden Grins" makes me nostalgic about early PD2 but hype for the new possibilities with the third game. And I hope they have a fantastic final show for the Payday 2 epilogue.

You would NOT believe how high on dopamine i was while playing this heist, nooo...
Solving the pipes, burning alive one man with 77 thousand HP and then escaping to the boat all the while this banger is playing...
This is truly it. This is peak Payday 2. And this, is the end on a high note that everyone could ever ask for. This is the moment when you feel like there are more difficult and insane things ahead, but nothing is going to stop you.
Oddly great blunt rolling music
I know im really late for a comment and payday 2 in general
But as a fan of Wild West esc music, my eyes were kept wide open and head bobbing when i heard this for the first time when i picked random song in Hoxtons Revenge with the western weapons, god bless on the road
Absolutely my favorite Payday 2 track, possibly of all time!
I legit got chills, what a great track for such a great game and a fitting sendoff to one of my favorite games of all time o7
Taking us on one last ride into the sunset. It's been one hell of a decade of Payday 2.
I like these art pieces because I like the idea that the Payday Gang realistically split into smaller teams. And I love the idea that Jiro, Sangres, Bonnie, and Clover are their own little team.
Just finished this heist, and to be honest, IT'S GREAT.
I do also love how this heist finally adds an unique boss that doesn't simply require you to "keep shooting until it dies"
This Souds like bond music when lyrics starts.
Rest in peace payday 2 for all the laughs and good times you will be missed
Before listening: 12 minutes?? Wow.
After listening: WHY IS IT ONLY 12 MINUTES?!? I WANT MORE!
I’m a hardcore fan of payday 2, and this song felt great, and I’m not a very emotional person but the moment the lyrics kicked in it brought tears to my eyes that this masterpiece was made to give us a send off to payday 2
The best way to end a decade-year game. With the most epic song to ever be made. LONG LIVE PAYDAY!
Damn this is already fire and I'm only 30 seconds in 🔥
Escaping at the end of a botched stealth DSOD was probably the most fun I’ve ever had in this game. Having one second left when I made it out (because I drove the boat the wrong way originally) felt AMAZING.
The lyrical version of this tracks gives me serious James Bond vibes
i Dont think a better song to end payday 2 is posible

Holy shit it's the guy. Sorry that you have your normal vids smaller than your OST uploads, I experienced it
@@kmdost Overkill (Starbreeze) didn't provide it so somebody else had to. :) I appreciate the others taking over though, was a pain to get them all uploaded (as some may have noticed, I stopped after a while and always tried to follow-up with it but never did).
Two words, God damn. This song is a love letter to payday and I could not be more hopefully for the future of this series. Let's do this
I ve suddenly came across 60s song "Ballata per un pistolero II" that probably Gustavo have some sample based in the intro part
This may mark the end of an era of shenanigans in the Diesel Engine, but we all know one thing we learned from Vinesauce.
The Ride Never Ends.
Really gives off an american venom vibe. I love it.

What a way to end a game, the reference and the overall epicness, amazing
This brought so many memories back. I love Payday.

This isn't a heist anymore...
It's a fucking victory lap!
I love how this music makes you feel you do smth really heroic (and you actually do sort of) and that it makes me feel that we dont do this for the money but for Bain
Amazing.
new idea, the lyric part of the song will always play when you are escaping in crude awakening(aswell as randomly)
An absolute Banger.
BANGER
One of the best tracks to ever be released in PAYDAY 2, if not the best entirely. Absolutely fantastic. Fitting for the final track ever, and it's great to finally have another heist track join Ode to Greed and Break the Rules in having lyrics.
This song has been stuck in my recommendations ever since the heist came out. And I keep playing it because it's so good. The binge is too much, I need to stop... but I can't.
I find it hilarious that Bonnie is chosen to be part of the promotion for the finale of Payday 2. A fantastic heist, a fantastic track, to end a fantastic game.
Oh my f' god, thank you for uploading it - didn't get vocal variation when I played with this track. This and Dark Light Strike are my favorites by Gustavo.
This is the most gracious sendoff to a great game I've ever heard of, literally on the same level as break the rules, or maybe even better?
Amazing sendoff to an amazing game. o7
Got some American Venom vibes to it or something out of a Tarantino western. And I'm loving every bit of it.
this whole heist was a very nice sendoff for The Payday Gang, very welcome and i can't wait to see them in Payday 3

this heists song is sooo good it sounds like something that should play as the credits roll on payday 2 and after playing it knowley was right this thing is such an amazing send of for such an amazing game in terms of heist and song combining tons of mechanics together to create a huge crescendo and honestly the only fun (imo) boss fight of these post white house dlcs. and my favorite part was right at the end when locke said it's time for us to fuck up a drill just really was so good and made me reflect on everything the gang did leading up to this point.
amazing ending and i'm so fucking excited for payday 3 dude it needs to be out already
first and only time i've currently done this heist was when doing the Texas Treasures with some friends, getting to play the whole Texas Heat campaign again made this all hit so much harder, as the previous events were then fresh in my mind during this heist
We riding off into the sunset with this beat
So this is the end of the Payday before heading to greener vault this September? Its been a pleasure to do heist with you all
Had the lyrics kick in for the first time durring the boss fight. Made it a moment to remember.
Two of my all time favorite tracks are Trainwreck and Trailblazer, the other two "western" styled songs in Payday, so when I heard it in the song selection I was so excited. I then equipped my full western loadout, lever action rifle primary with shotgun secondary, AI crew fitted with the most "old timey" styled weapons I could give them, and all equipped in the full "Lawless Tailor" outfits and masks. And then I did this heist, hoo man. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done.
The final banger to the final crime.
Hey, how convenient. I was just looking for this song
one last big score, then we can all go home, one last score... just one more...

Easily one the the best songs in all of payday.
's been a long road, hadn't it? Through fire and fury; to fame and fortune. You proved more than once what legends you are.
Final stop. SERA's offshore drilling platform. Middle of the ocean. Guarded by an elite security team. And a mad dog who's got a bone to pick with you. Our enemies got a lot riding on this here oil rig, I reckon we got a shot to wipe them out for good.
So tell me folks, where does your road lead?

Truly a heist, deserving to be a last one.
This track is perfect to end this game on. Payday gang, it was a wild ride. We look forward to the next chapter after ten years of memories.
I am so fucking hyped for payday 3. Gustavo is incredible
This is what the white house track should have been. The drums, organ and whistles add a sense of tension and urgency. This is big, this is the true do or die moment, either we succeeded, or these last 10 years were for nothing...
Yet the brass and strings feel grandiose, triumphant, like a salute that spawns fighter jets overhead. As if a remind for them... this is the payday gang they're messing with.
