They sell something already that's very similar to the way these glasses work for that exact purpose. You lay it on your dash, below the windshield, and it reflects the image onto the windshield. Idk if it's still a thing, but I had one about six years ago. Same problem as these glasses - doesn't work great during the day. But at night time it was nice, especially when using GPS, to have the directions right there on the windshield. I believe they make an app for your phone that you can use to do the same thing. Turn it on, set the phone on your dash, and there you go

I can't wait until some big tech brand like samsung does something like this, this is so cool
Can you use the unreal for video calls like Facebook calls, WeChat, and what’s app?
One day it will be our TV / Computer / Imax all in one. maybe way cheaper that big Tv's or projectors though they have laser projectors which are smaller and produce large images in HD with very close table top setup.
Have u seen the the viture glasses
Never thought of connecting this to a docking hub and using a PC and other things?
Has it got positional tracking or just rotation?
Are these pretty much this same nreal air available in the UK?
Will they tether with a PC?
This looks awesome. Thanks for the video.
These look good but I’m strangely more excited about the NReal Air that’s coming out soon. I actually won a pair from Nreal so I’m looking forward to trying it!
The Air dont have tracking though right?
@@andrewb76 They do but it's only 3DOF I think, which is plenty for my needs (just want to watch a virtual screen in bed/on planes etc!)
I really want these but, I need to wait it out fore a wireless version. Hopefully by then we will have eye tracking for typing and, stuff. Then we can all have shifty eyes
Holy cow 1080p already!
It would be great if there were glasses like this but ones that can also function as normal prescription glasses that would literly be great
Hey can those actually cou ld be conected to my PC the way they work as my PC diplay? or at least just an extension
Can you use an app like moonlight and stream a home pc?
If it could increase FoV and resolution, it would be a great product.
Does it have finger tracking?
If they could implement AR onto something like pit vipers, I think they'd be better off. Bigger glasses for more visual clarity and better visibility.
Could you test something for me? I'm curious if samsung accessory settings "Live Caption" and apps called "Live Transcribe" will work on Nreal?
I think there should be nreal gloves with it that would let u use your fingers to control it instead of your phone
Has anyone tried using AR glasses for navigation while walking, biking, or even driving? Is it safe enough to use for that purpose?
Is there a Unity SDK with camera access?
If you run the screen mirror you should be able to run apps on the mirror
What about the Vuzix Blades? Weren't those first AR glasses. And the Vuzix blade don't need a cord, it is all built into the glasses themselves.
This is the future. We will not have TVs or monitors, it will all be AR. Would be cool if you could hook this up to your car and have a HUD in your car, like a fighter plane, lol.
Turn it on, set the phone on your dash, and there you go
@@zp944 Yeah I use to have one of those little HUDs, it showed speed, RPMs, and couple other stuff. Mine had a little window cling that was a little darker and was able to use it fine in the daylight. I was thinking more full HUD display. Imagine having an overlay of the GPS up in the right corner of the windshield, with the speed and everything else in front of you.
I already own one similar but it has built in android. I rooted it and I don't need to connect my phone to it. I can if I wanted to. I can also connect my consoles to if I wanted to and I see a 72 inch screen and I can use Bluetooth headphones to connect to listen to it privately or use the headphones jack.
Is this ok for the eyes?
If you cast from your android to your glasses I take it you can still use your android phone in hand as normal and see all selections in screen? Thanks for the video 😁
From where I can buy this Smart Glasses
can you use sketchAR with it?
They similar to my rokid air I got months ago I like mine and cheaper was only $350 I think they like 450 now but they are awesome
Do you know if I still need a nreal dev kit or can I develop for it using the light,
The Nreal Air looks better but lacks some of the features of the light. I hope they update the Light 2 to look more like the Air :D
would this also connect to PC?
under normal intense use, how long does a charge last? If you could only use it for a hour, before being forced to recharge it,
that would suck.
Shame the luddites killed Glass. This tech would be years ahead of where it's at..
is it possible to play games with others? is it socializable?
But you can also plug the glasses to your PC, right?
Yep! But you don't have nebula available like that
Not ready yet. It’s gonna take a while until it becomes ready and mainstream.
Can you connect these to a pc??
Work with samsung Dex?
I like your way of speaking 😊🌷
What about Lenovo ThinkReality A3?
Any chance these would work with Google pixel pro 6
The only problem that i see is the lack of connectivity with Apple and Android devices. You need a transmitter to be able to use them with these devices.
Hey Mr wood love the vid but I am concerned about the line in your finger nail if its not from a injury you may want to get your health checked . It can be nothing but that line is a indicator for heart issues
why not wirelesss via 5G wifi instead of usbc?
what is the MR game at 5:36 called? I couldn't hear what you said.
I wonder if the screens are 60Hz only? And what resolution are they?
Could we fly our dji drones with screen mirror would be cool to use the blackout covers and mirror screen anybody done this I'm guessing a usb hub would be required or something would love to see it
I guess when I think of my dream AR device, I'm thinking of glasses that aren't physically tethered to my phone, and can be controlled via hand tracking. I want Minority Report level glasses now! 😆 But this is a nice baby step, I suppose.
