lollll i was too busy munching my oatmeal with a thousand different toppings and i so i couldn't hear properly what you saying but i thought you were showing us round the london flat that you just moved into .. and i was like "damn.. this place really looks like your berlin apartment!!" and then when you showed the bathroom i was like "NO WAY . same colour and everything!? " and then i realise and i did a face palm.

I could see your joy in the last scene in your warm, empty living room. Congratulations. You look so genuinely happy and excited. This is my favorite video that you ever made.
I think this is one of my favourite videos I've ever watched from you guys. I felt that classic "moving excitement" and the entire romance you described of that first night/day in the empty apartment. Oh my gosh, so lovely.
I'm not even a regular visitor here at planet Jenny, yet I found myself getting so so excited for you while you moved! The new place looks absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to see all of your stuff coming in and you getting to decorate it and make it your home. Kind of wish I was moving too. Love that feeling of a fresh start and getting to create your space all over again.
Had to pause the vid right at the start; you guys talking about boxes and the nice things you’ve acquired; you made me feel more human. I try to live a minimalistic life, and yet every time I move house (I’ve also moved a lot in the last 10 years or so) I always feel bad about the number of boxes required. It’s easy to forget that minimalism doesn’t mean *nothing*.. thank you :)
Oh, and I’m also UK! Hooray! :) Plus I also spend time visiting relatives in Germany too . Xx
tip for that pampas grass: spray them with hairspray, this way they will not leave seeds as much.
I always have them at home as well, my bf's father shared this tip with us (surprisingly; I thought he will be more like "what kind of decoration is that?!"). In Portugal it's an invasive species, but I'm still happy to see it growing crazy by the freeways, such a stunning way to invade nonetheless
Please do tell me how you logistically move from one country to another as I am planning moving long distance and it seems complicated 😫

I moved from New York State, USA to Greece. Years later I moved back to NY, then to Cape Cod and lastly 3100 miles to Washington (the state). Best advice I have is really editing your possessions, after going for a vacation to your intended move to be sure you are getting positive vibes from that country. If you do not know the language there, get some basic lessons- even knowing a few phrases helps.

Actually it's moving back to my birth town (I know the hoods I want) If only I could drive, I would have done the U-Haul, but since I can't I have to pay round trip the truck (on a holiday which is double price) and find a "reliable" friend to supervise the departure whilst I'm already at the new flat.

Poppy * I moved from Czech republic to Ireland with 2 suitcases and a child.🤣I wouldn't recommend to take only 2 suitcases,because you can soon realise that you miss the basic. But I didn't have spare money back then to pay for more luggage.It was crazy and I don't know how I actually managed.But yeah, keep your stuff at minimum😉.

Congratulations on your new home ☺️! You've always had an eye for cosy apartments, I can't wait to see it fully decorated. One thing I think I noticed: some of the light bulbs are warm-light while some of them are cold-light. It might be an issue while taking photos (white balance etc.).

London real estate costs arm and leg, glad you guys are doing well enough for place like this! That alone turned me off after 3 years as a Londoner. After moving back to UK I haven't even considered it again, but it's definetly vibrant city with lots to do. Looking forward to new content!

My jaw also dropped when I saw the flat! A flat that size and in such good condition in a decent area in London costs mega bucks. Most Londoners can only dream of a flat like that, the Mustards have obviously come up in the world!
@@SuperPuddingcat exactly. I live in Barcelona, and most people could never ever afford a flat like this in its own city. I mean, it's cool they have the money to do whatever the hell they want, but I wish the rest of the citizens, people who have been born there, could have the same opportunities. Here, in Bcn, the only people who can afford living here are foreigners with high incomes, and local residents are forced to leave their homes and their cities.
Similar to David, my husband always says he could live in a skip. We're having some building work done and a massive soil skip got delivered. I could see it was like a palace in his eyes

The apartment looks really good. Those heaters are a nuisance. They got me too when I moved for the first time to the UK. But hey...Welcome to London! Hope to bump into you while out and about in central London.
Moving to London area around the 24th of this month. Surrounded by boxes but luckily all of the furniture came with the villa, so I only need to take personal things. Still need to find an apartment. You guys are lucky because you are moving together; it is harder to move alone. Hope to meet you one day :)
