was wondering how would different unusual,killstreak effect look in source 2 compared to 1,also you didnt show any other maps in source 2 ,would love to see suijin,coldfront in the next comparison

I don't really see much need to migrate tf2 to source 2, there's not a huge difference graphically.
There's mostly just particles and lighting
plus it's more resource consuming
this video does a pretty bad job showing how good TFS2 can look, the main point of TFS2 is modding support though really.
You also have to think of the engine potential, with an updated engine they could use things like DLSS, Raytracing, and overall maybe even a performance overhaul since the engine is on a modern platform. You can only update a game on its engine before it has limitations.
I feel like the minigun firing and fire from the flamethrower kinda loses the cartoonistic style that the game has, otherwise I think it's cool
The flamethrower and minigun viewmodels in source 2 tf2 are the same ones that used to be in source 1 tf2 back in 2007. And I’m the reason why they exist in the source 2 version. I showed the amper team the 2007 viewmodels and asked them nicely to add them. Thank god they listened to me.

i prefer tf2 getting optimized over migrating tf2 to source 2
tf2 getting optimized is much more realistic than migrating it, but if I had the choice I would totally rather it get migrated
Source 2 is cool but source one is more iconic

The flames before jungle inferno were so much better. ESPECIALLY when shooting them too close to walls.

@@heavenandhello6629 the game isn't out yet. Developers sometimes gives away free early access keys and I managed to get one.

It should come out this year but I don't if they'll manage to finish it before it ends. But I think it should come out soon ( 1-3 months)
i feel like it really loses some of its charm. this is like slapping ultra realistic textures onto minecraft. tf2 is meant to be cartoony.
