Keep in mind what Brown's job here is. The audience are probably not people who bought tickets to see him in Evan Hansen. They bought tickets months earlier hoping to see Platt in the role he made critics rave about and got a Tony for. Those were expensive tickets, and they undoubtedly traveled a decent distance to wait for parking, pay for parking, and stand in line for a long time. His job this evening is to make sure they do not leave feeling disappointed, or cheated that he is not Platt, and leave having enjoyed this show so much they are glad they paid all that money, took all that time, and stood in those lines. He has to completely win them over and make them forget this Platt guy, and invest in his Evan Hansen . So I'd say Michael Lee Brown has one of the toughest jobs on any New York stage this particular night! Having watched these clips, it's clear he did his job.
This was me when I learned that I wouldn’t be seeing Jordon Fisher. I was disappointed but Noah Piser awed me with his performance. I loved his performance.
@@Liezii I had the opportunity to see both jordan and Noah while Jordan was amazing Noah just seemed like he related and understood evans emotions and made it so real
@@superherosaver3071 I love Jordan Fisher, but I think he's not the best for this particular role. I really love Ben Platt, but I also enjoy watching the other Evans. II would love to see more footage of Noah!
This song gets me emotional every time (Specifically when Connor’s parents hug), it’s such a beautiful coming together of everything (though it all falls apart in act 2…)
And this is why I like to see actual performances and not just hear the songs cause I know the song like the back of my hand but fam I was NOT expecting that ending.
they tape it for every person who covers evan and use a greenscreen for the background!! then they just choose which recording they're using depending on who's evan for the night😁
@@amazingp-y3j I love how amazing these effects are, not only in YWBF, but pretty much throughout the show. It’s so hard to explain it all without seeing it. I just love how EVERY person who plays/covers a roll has some promotional material or projections. What I thought was very pretty was the finale. It’s so hard to describe, but it starts with that bright cyan Evan color, (I believe) and then mellows down into the darker Evan blue, and then I believe it goes into a dark purple. It’s so hard to explain, and I don’t fully remember it all. But it’s so beautiful
@@cooper6381 I know what you're talking about! That beautiful color that fills the space in the apple orchard :) that's my favorite set in the production because they barely needed any props to make it almost feel like it was a gorgeous day in an apple orchard. there's so much hope and beauty in the finale, when they play that guitar and the cast vocalises with Evan's 'all I see is sky for forever...' and the sky turns into that beautiful purple. it felt like natural light was really flooding into the theater with how stunning those colors are!!

Wow.... what a powerful song and performance!

Yeah.
Only listening to the soundtrack you're not getting the full story.
2:45 I love how this is such a beautiful moment where they’re all speaking to each other in different places and in comes Jared 😭😭
He’s so silly 😭😭
Connor’s parents embracing always makes me emotional
All of the takes on Evan are phenomenal, but MLB is definitely one of the best, imo.
Absolutely!
Michael Lee Brown is my fav Evan he ATE THIS UP OMG
Omg this is so good !!
This is so good. 🥺🥺
connors parents hugging makes me cry so much.
Someone please remake the movie with him as Evan
He really went for it at the end.
True 💀 why were they so agresive LOL
Lmao
私も英語で、翻訳無しでこの舞台を理解できるくらい英語勉強したいなー
2:45 You know, part of me wonders where that footage of Evan's speech was taped.
I believe they probably had a green screen
